Everything was perfect! The staff was amazing, the rooms were large and very comfortable. For a superior experience, this is definitely the place to stay!

We were pleasantly surprised to find this gem. It was recently renovated and the newness did not take away from the charm of the antique origins of the hotel. There were delightful remnants from the olden days everywhere; the charming elevators, gorgeous staircase, warm and inviting entry area, etc. we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will stay again.

We stayed in a handicap accessible room. It was excellent. The beds were a little low, though, for my husband to be able to stand up by himself.

My stay at the Hotel Fort Des Moines was the best lodging experience I've had in long time. I highly recommend this place. The ergonomics of our room was outstanding. It was also modern and clean.
