"Nice clean rooms which appear to have recently been refurbished. We ate in the hotel bar which had a good selection of reasonably priced dishes. Waited a while for our meals but didn't mind as these were cooked to order. At breakfast, we had a splendid and rather large full English which again was cooked to order. The staff were really friendly and helpful."

"The hotel facilities and staff were adequate. I'd rate them as average as they didn't bend over backwards for us but were friendly and did what they had to for us, they did their job. The room was clean, had a tele and the usual kettle with biscuits. I would say the shower just had a half screen not full or a door so water did spray all over the floor around the toilet. The massive issue I had is that there was a retirement party in the bar area. As a hotel guest I'd expect to be able to check in and head to the bar for a drink and a bite to eat. This wasn't possible as the party was private and very very noise with music blasting out. Instead of being able to use the bar we were directed across the other side of the car park to the "lodge". This is 300 / 400 metres across the car park which isn't ideal when it's freezing cold. I'm just glad it wasn't raining. When we finally got to going to bed it was very late by the time we could sleep due to the music being played on top volume from the bar area. We were then woke again at 2am by some of the guest fighting in the corridor, and then again arguing at 4am/5am in the morning. We finally got up for breakfast at 8am feeling utterly shattered having had very little sleep. Would not recommend a stay here due to the fact they can't guarantee it won't be the equivalent of a night club during your stay!!!"
