Sleep Inn & Suites Dover

Because we booked on the road after the cutoff time for cancellations, we ended up with a ”suite” to get the size bed we wanted at a midweek AAA modified price. Checkin was efficient, friendly, professional and informative. The room was large (ADA accessible) and immaculate. Maintenance was current without any obvious faults or blemishes. It was a very nice room. Breakfast was the usual for a Sleep Inn with hot breakfast, eg, waffles, scrambled eggs, sausages with various breads, yogurts and fruit. Checkout was as good as checkin. We would definitely stay here again. Kudos to all who made this possible! Well done!l
Hilton Garden Inn Dover

I stayed at this property for several days while attending a Conference in Dover, Delaware. The property is located just off a main thoroughfare and there is easy access. It is located very close to two Malls, lots of restaurants and other places of interest to a traveler. In fact, two of the restaurants are right in front of the hotel including a gas station! The staff is very friendly, knowledgeable about the area and very professional. The staff is one of the best that I have experienced and I am a frequent traveler. The rooms are comfortable and clean. If you need any type of service, the staff is very quick in taking care of your needs. The breakfast is amazing! The cost is at $14 for full cooked to order breakfast that includes the Continental bar as well. While there I tried two other breakfast locations and I can assure you that the breakfast at the hotel was the BEST! My server, Jayne Jones, was AWESOME!! She continual asked those in my party if she could get us anything, was friendly and an awesome server. She even went as far as helping us to get additional items if needed and not once was she ever unpleasant. Each day for four days, she was there and ready to help my party with anything needed. We tipped her generously but she is an excellent example of a face for a hotel! I encourage you to stay here and see the experience for yourself. The cost is good and the location is excellent.
Wyndham Garden Dover

The most disgusting place I’ve ever stayed. Bugs all over, bed, shower, floor etc. Water wouldn’t drain out of the sink and that was upon arrival before we used anything and the water that was in the sink was dirty. One bed felt ok, the other virtually collapsed when you sat on it. Table leg missing, security bolt on door had 1 screw, domestic dispute outside room and when the front desk was notified, they responded with, “if you’re bothered by it call the police”. We were booked for 2 nights, survived one and then checked out and even with proof and pictures of all the above they have the audacity to still charge us an OVER inflated rate for both nights with NO refund. Wyndham should be more than ashamed to have their name on this building.
Comfort Suites Dover

Hands down Comfort Suites and Hosts are the best. I was really surprise that a hotel stay can feel so terrific / just like home. It seems that they always go above and beyond to make my stay so memorable that I wouldn't dare look anywhere else.
Home2 Suites by Hilton Dover

The hotel looks like it has been redone and updated to make it more modern. As a Hilton Member, I appreciated the ease of being able to pick our room online the day before and doing a virtual check-in. We picked the top floor and had a room with 2 queens and a sleeper sofa. The room was so large, we were quite impressed with the space. The beds were comfortable and I appreciate that even the bedspreads on the beds are washed. I get grossed out by hotel bedspreads, so I appreciate that these are also washed. Appreciated the space and comfort. The downside of this hotel was that it was just so busy. The staff could not keep up with breakfast. There were no dishes to use and we were told to go up to our room and get dishes and bring those down for breakfast. Then once we had dishes to eat and finally got food, all of the omelets and breakfast skillets were cold. It felt like they had not even been heated up before being placed in the warmer. We were concerned about eating them as who wants to risk food poisoning while on a trip? There was only one waffle maker and a huge line of people waiting to make a waffle. No fresh fruit to be found. I think this hotel could do a better job staffing breakfast and being prepared with more and warm food when the hotel is very busy. Other than breakfast we did enjoy the stay and are likely to reuse this hotel again in the future.
