The Five Bells

Had a lovely stay here with my partner. We had the apartment/flat which is in the he courtyard of the pub. Very clean and spacious. The bed was really comfy, we both had a nice sleep. Staff were all very nice and helpful throughout our stay. We had the Sunday roast for lunch before leaving and that was excellent as well. No faults at all and will be back! Also made friends with the resident dogs which was an added bonus

Just had a family get together for the weekend. 10 of us stayed a couple of nights and 13 of us had an amazing Christmas Dinner on Saturday. Food was fantastic and the team in the restaurant/pub were brilliant. Will definitely come again when we visit the in-laws next. Thank you!

The most delicious roasts ever! We were so looked after in this cosy pub with wonderful staff. I had the veggie wellington which absolutely hit the spot and my mum had the chicken which looked fab. Great family atmosphere too, I would highly recommend and will absolutely return to this gem of a pub! ✨

Arrived at hotel around 5pm… had a few drinks in bar. Woke up the next morning, (Sunday) wanting a bath… there was no plug so waited till 8am for the main building to open, went down and spoke to a lady, who was very unhelpful… said it was there yesterday… I will check with the cleaner when she is next in…this was very useful as I needed to have a bath … there was a shower, but I didn’t want to get my hair wet… and also I am paying you for a service , I was not able to use. Was told she didn’t have another plug. With no sorry. Breakfast was really nice, great products used, shame the vinegar was 2 years out of date ….

Stayed for 1 night recently. The website looks very nice and overall the 2 rooms we had were clean. When we arrived we realised there was no car parking which is a pain as there is very limited places to park. The owners were friendly enough and we were able to check in early. I booked this as there is a pub attached however it doesn't open until 6pm so off to Deal for food. This actually was a better option, lovely seaside town and was able to sit on the seafront and have a lovely meal. The beds are rock hard, it's like sleeping on the cliffs at Dover and the pillows are as flat as a pancake. Didn't get much sleep to be honest and the noise from pub didn't help either. It cost just over £200 for 2 rooms. Owners really need to sort out the beds and pillows. Not much you can do about the pub noise though

The owners tried to charge me for a broken window handle which snapped on me while closing and injured me. Avoid this place noisey too as bar below I didn't expect the noise at all. I recieved untrue and nasty messages from owners too I was supposed to stay two nights but decided not too as I didn't sleep much

Wonderful Food , Friendly , helpful staff who go the extra mile to ensure a pleasant , enjoyable stay , Rooms were very clean and reasonably priced , the breakfast was all made with fresh local produce , well worth a visit

Booked this last minute through ***********, room was ok clean and tidy. Went to have a shower in the morning couldn’t get the shower to work it was also taped up with gaffer tape, so no shower 🚿. Tried contacting the staff but to no avail would not recommend staying here

Booked for 1 night, double room with en-suite. Very reasonable but we now know why! Room looked ok, basic double with small tv. Shower didn’t work, it was taped up with black tape. We tried to contact the owners by phone and message but no reply! Gave up in the end! We didn’t get what we paid for (room with a shower) Met another couple who said their shower worked but had to hold it when showering! I wouldn’t recommend!
