Logis Auberge de La Sélune

My beautiful young bride and I stayed here for 2 nights. The setting alongside the Selune River is great and the Hotel Gardens provide beautiful seating/relaxing opportunities. The reception was warm, friendly and helpful. The team - Proprietors and Staff - were efficient and delightfully friendly. The breakfast offering is a very good and varied, it's a buffet with quality food, all served in a very pleasant dining room. We had dinner only one night (the restaurant was closed on Monday for staff break reasons). It was sensational! The dining room staff were friendly and attentive. A special mention must be made of the cheese trolley - the selection and quality of the cheese was amazing and all were meticulously introduced and described by the wonderful Proprietoress (also acting Gardener!). Our room was comfortable and well appointed. Good WiFi was available at no charge. On-site reserved parking can be pre-booked at a modest charge. I thoroughly recommend this establishment and would gladly return.

The most charming owner-operated little hotel! beautiful grounds, lovely room with view of the river. I needed a business-friendly hotel on a recent trip to Mont Saint Michel, had to do a zoom conference late at night--not something you usually have to do on a pleasure trip... chose this hotel and man, everything was exquisite AND got that call done. The dining room was spectacular, they have a notable chef, and when I expressed interest in learning about cheese, the wife of the couple served me five different cheese and explained what they were--out of this world. The view of that river! If you're going to Mont Saint Michel, do yourselves a favor and stay in this super-charming hotel in a "village etape"--a designation of a village under 5000 that knocks out the stops for beauty and convenience. No elevator, but the husband carried my bag up to the top floor--so glad, because that view was to die for.

High quality accommodation, with relaxing garden, amenities, and a very good restaurant. Within easy cycling distance of Le Mont St-Michel on the Veloscenie. Pretty town, with impressive castle and facilities.

There were major public works ongoing outside the hotel but we were kept informed of these prior to arrival so we were prepared. It was a nice touch to have a parking space reserved for us and the welcome was warm. The room was perfect for our needs and the restaurant was excellent with a good variety

We were there for a week half board. On checking in we were asked about any food issues and the menu reflected the wish for no mussels. Every meal was delicious and beautifully presented, including the Monday "tray meal". All the waiting staff and room cleaners were very polite and efficient. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly and both spoke excellent English. The car was accommodated in their gated parking area with a clear sign indicating our slot. We couldn't wish for a more relaxing and enjoyable stay.

This hotel is made by the quality of the staff..friendly and helpful. It was a real pleasure staying there. i cant think of anything else to say but hopefully this is enough to be counted in TripAdvisor

We had a very nice overnight stay at 'Auberge de la Selune' in the charming town of Ducey. The hotel parking was good and I had booked an upgraded family room/suite which happened to be located in the garden. My wife particularly liked it as we could step out of the room into the garden with loungers, tables and chairs to enjoy a drink and it was very quiet and picturesque. The room consisted of two sections, a Queen sized bed with a separate toilet and shower room off and a sitting area with a small office desk and separate door leading to the garden, useful for air flow on a warm evening. The hotel is 2 minutes' walk to the heart of Ducey where there is a very nice Creperie that serves decent rose and all at very reasonable prices. We had booked a table for dinner on the terrace at 'Auberge de la Selune' and it was a delightful setting (see picture overlooking the garden from our table). Sparkling Vouvray and Muscadet were well priced and good quality. The food was good, not as exquisite as we had eaten at some other venues on our trip through France but very acceptable. The starter of raw Tuna was particularly nice and the pork loin was fine if not memorable. Breakfast the next morning served quality products and was priced reasonably. All in all, we enjoyed our stay at 'Auberge de la Selune' and would happily return if in the area.

We lived the lock down dream at the hotel and restaurant, all the staff cannot do enough for you and the rooms are excellent. The new chef Shoro shone with an excellent quality of meals produced in the kitchen and served in the restaurant along with the impeccable waiting service, I must not forget Sandra's cheese trolley used for the cheese course. All this is only achieved by the professional leadership of Sandra & Patrice who set a kind & considerate example. we'll be back.
