The Marina mens bathroom had towels & swimsuits on the floor for over 12 hours. At 8:30 am I mentioned it to the young man sitting outside at the towel desk, and instead of at least picking up easily 6 towels and a swimsuit he said housekeeping will do it. The bathroom on the side of the store was out of toilet paper, and filthy. The walking portion of the pier had dog feces several places for days. We had halibut and fries at the grill, and the fish batter was so sp**** the fish was dried out and awful. Will Never return to eat there. The mansion had a mediocre buffet for breakfast for $22. The bacon was in a big slab and undercooked instead of separated. The extra $15 to use the ‘adult pool’ didn’t have enough lounge chairs, and the drink was nearly $20, and watered down. Get your act together! This is a beautiful place, but the management is dysfunctional.

The room was spacious and clean. We had a beautiful view of the harbor. There were three of us. We had a living room bedroom kitchen and two bathrooms. There was a fold outbed in the living room. The hotel is very old. The furniture And carpet are dated also. We were told we had a full kitchen. We shopped and bought ice cream and there was no freezer. Refrigerator space was limited. There was no dishwasher or garbage disposal. The electric range was from the dinosaur age. We were told there would be no maid service and just ask for more towels. We were there for 3 days . This would have been okay, however, the room was still Pricey at over $300 a night!

We celebrated our anniversary at the Rosario Resort and had a wonderful time! The Cliffside Suite was spacious and comfortable. The view from the room is really the selling point- it’s expansive and provides views of the marina, waterfront and hotel. We really enjoyed walking around the mansion and learning about the Moran family and the property. We were lucky enough to catch Mr.Peacock play the piano and organ and loved the photos while he played. Definitely check out the downstairs original pool and mosaic floors as well as the lagoon by the marina. I was a bit nervous to visit because the reviews are spotty but we really wanted to check out the property and were pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed our visit. No the rooms are not cheap- but nothing in the San Juan’s is in the Summer. The room may be a bit outdated (hello taupe 90s ;) but it looked exactly like the photos when I booked so it’s exactly as expected + clean and comfortable. The property is huge! Definitely give it a shot and get lost a little. It’s a gem.

The old mansion is beautiful. The saltwater pool is intact and the outdoor pool, cantilevered over the bay is great too. The restaurant has a nice old fashioned vibe, but my steak was tough. The cauliflower in tahini entree was excellent, but not enough for a dinner. Our room in the 2300 building was the biggest disappointment, dark dank and narrow. Yes we had a balcony facing the bay but for the price we were paying in July it was terrible. We got moved to the Bayside building, which was better. We will tru someplace else next time.

Outstanding experience - staff was amazing, great view from our room, menu at restaurant had many good options, incredible hiking/boating/kayaking/whalewatching nearby. And the evening musical entertainment was world class!

We moored in the marina. All those amenities were excellent. However, our meal in the mansion restaurant was not a good experience. Most of the food was subpar and very disappointing. It had very little taste. The only course we really enjoyed was dessert. We’re hoping this was just a one-off but unfortunately other observations we made told us that might not be the case. This is an incredible venue and we’re hoping the restaurant will get its act together.

Location, grounds and view of the bay were fantastic. Very disappointed in restaurant. Very limited menu with few Pacific NW foods. Plain wooden tables with not tablecloths or other amenities you expect in a resort. Average wait service. Come for the view but not the food.

My daughter and I were booked for 3 nights . We stayed there 6 years ago. This stay was a complete disappointment , for both of us. For a 3 night stay totaling over 800.00, the service was poor and there was a complete lack of hospitality . Four months before our stay , I called to book 2 massages for us. I was told that the available time was 3:15 pm , on our arrival day. I explained that our ferry didn’t even arrive on Orcas until 3:00, and that any other day would be fine. I was told that there was nothing else , but I could go on a waiting list . / We went into town to have massages , which was an inconvenience . One morning we wanted to have breakfast at The Mansion ( the only place on property that was open served breakfast. The hotel info stayed that breakfast was served until 1130 am. We arrived at 1045 am and were told “ we need to turn the tables over , but you can come back At 12:00 for lunch. “. No effort made by the host to try to accommodate us , two guests of the hotel! Again , we drove into town to have breakfast. When we wanted to have dinner at the Mansion ( the only thing open on Wed on site ) we were told to; “Come back at 830 pm, and they would only serve us inside “( it was beautiful out doors !) The casual Resturant by the marina was closed on Wed. / We went to the shop by the marina , to try and find something decent to eat. All that we found was candy and icecream. In the mornings there was coffee in the shop, but no muffins And the yogurts were sold out , from the day before. The people working in the shop , making our coffee were lovely. But , no one else made any effort to accommodate us , try to get us in For dinner or breakfast when we had requested , the spa wasn’t accommodating . When we called for extra towels , one bath towel and one hand towel were dropped outside our door in a plastic bag. Note : there is NO room cleaning , turn down service , no Room service . There is no place on East Sound that delivers food to the hotel area. So, be resigned to bring food in from a grocery store in town ,and know that just because your a guest of the hotel, you aren’t going to be treated with hospitality or care. We never did eat at the Mansion, and we were at the hotel for 3 nights. The adult pool was very hot , and I couldn’t get an umbrella at the pool. There is no Netflix , no HBO and the rooms / bathrooms look old , dingy And in need of being updated . The tub and sink are old. There are no charging stations in the rooms , and no lamps for reading. It was too dark to read in bed. What a rip off the Rosario was. , and

We just finished up two nights at Rosario resort, where we moored our boat overnight for 2 nights. Very organized and well maintained marina- great assistance entering and leaving! Bathroom facilities are shared with pool guests but very close to the pier and cleaned every morning. Lots of space for the kids to run around( tether ball and a volleyball court available). Our experience was great EXCEPT THE FOOD. We ate at both the mansion restaurant and the cascade grill. How can a place that has million dollar yachts moored but serve quite possibly the most disgusting food I’ve ever had? All frozen, nothing fresh, inedible. It’s unfortunate because the service by the staff was a 10, and everyone was so welcoming- I know it’s not their fault that they are serving up garbage. Also, please tell me where BBQ sauce is an acceptable thing to have on a pizza- just bbq sauce and cheese…??!! My kids couldn’t eat at either place. We will come back but will plan to not eat anything from the resort next time!
