Casa de Mar Hotel and Villas

First and last time I will stay here. They mentioned only up to 3 per room and tried charging us for an extra person to stay with us (I have never seen a hotel ever do this) Lastly, upon looking at the receipts, they snuck in that we drank 20 beers and 1 piña colada and had it charged to the room when we did not order anything besides water and soda. Overall, disappointed with my stay.

This place is so overpriced! Being next to the ocean was nice but not worth the price. My room was very outdated and even had a blood stain on the wall. There were some kind of ant looking bugs crawling on the walls too. But the worst part was that my shower hot and cold were backwards so I assumed no hot water and had to take cold showers. The staff wasn’t very friendly to me. I sat for several hours at the pool and was never offered a drink like every one else sitting around me. When other people walked up the stairs from the beach they were greeted with bottles of water but when I came back from the beach and was rinsing off one of the staff members was asking my room number as if I was sneaking in. Don’t waste your money staying here

Great ocean and surf location. The pool and views are also first class and a friendly staff to top It all.

I was very excited to stay at Casa De Mar since I saw so many great reviews. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with our stay. To begin, I’ve had the opportunity to stay in many places in El Salvador that have been both great and bad, but this stay was not the best in our opinion. Upon our arrival, we noticed that the door was left completely open. This allowed mosquitoes and other bugs inside the room. As we got ready, we noticed that our linens had several stains. Initially, it was the towels, but when we uncovered the bed sheets, there were more stains. In addition, we booked our room with an ocean view, but we’re displeased to see that our view was covered by vegetation. What made this experience worse was noticing that the curtains were too small for the large windows. Normally we wouldn’t make a big fuss about this, but employees kept walking by which gave them an easy look inside our room. We felt that we didn’t have privacy. This was a similar case with the toilet room. Anyone walking by can look inside to see you using the restroom. Furthermore, we found multiple cob webs and spiders in the room. We spent a good amount of money for this stay and were surprised by the unpleasant experience. The property is beautiful and the employees were helpful to accommodate some of our needs. Overall, I don’t think we will be returning, but hope other guests have a better experience

Everything was as expected, the hosputality of all the member of the place was excelent. The location is the best. Definetely i will come back

If you are looking for a relaxing stay on the Sunzal Point this is the perfect property. The food was fresh, the drinks cold, the service incredible and the staff were so friendly and accommodating. I will be coming back with my friends to surf and my family in the future. It was perfect.

The whole staff at Casa de mar are genuinely great people. Whatever you need they make happen and quickly. I hope I can get back to that hotel someday

The staff and service was excellent , everyone was very nice. Check in and check out was super easy, we were able to check in early with no problem and they let us check out a little bit later due to our flight being later in the day. There was not a mini refrigerator in the room and no iron that would be my only complaint of the room, besides that I would definitely recommend this hotel !

We had a wonderful stay. It was very clean and well maintained. The staff cleared the beach of garbage regularly and were always working in the grounds making it look perfect. The staff were all wonderful. The area around was very safe and the local people were lovely.
