Had a great stay at our first ski resort. My auntie and uncle have stayed here previously and said the food there was the best! The food provided was delicious! The bar area was always nice and warm. The bus up to the gondola was very much needed! We did walk back a few times after a few drinks, which took about 25 minutes Would recommend getting a heated locker at the skiing place, saves taking the kit back and forth. We were told the buses can sometimes not run to schedule, so we made sure to get the first bus up as it was always nearly on time! The owners drove us up there once as the key to the door wouldn't work in the morning, which was very kind! Would definitely go back and highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Palarine, great hosts and friendly helpful staff. The other guests were all friendly so generated a really relaxed convivial atmosphere. No issues with buses to get up the hill to the gondola. Bus to Grandvalira picked up outside the hotel for a day skiing that area. Thoroughly enjoyed skiing in all areas. Good friendly atmosphere at happy hour in the bar and relaxed at dinner. We would definitely return.

March 10th- 17th 2024 : We had great Snow this week . Our inaugural visit to Andorra marked a significant milestone in our skiing adventures spanning over two decades. Having explored numerous destinations and endured some less-than-ideal accommodations, we found solace in the convenience of this Hotel . Nestled in Andorra, we discovered Hotel Plarine , a quaint yet charming hotel, boasting modest yet immaculate rooms meticulously tended to by the hospitable staff. Despite the snug ski room lacking boot heaters, the culinary offerings surpassed expectations all around , tantalizing our taste buds with delectable delights, while the evening entertainment fostered a great atmosphere among us and guests. The exceptional service from the bar staff extended beyond hospitality and were always on hand with lots of information on the area , with seamless Wi-Fi connectivity facilitating remote working if needed , allowing for timely excursions to the slopes each day. Such exemplary standards warranted our hotel a commendable rating of 6/5 top marks from us , surpassing the conventional five-star scale. However, amidst the idyllic setting, a glaring inconvenience marred our experience – the Buses. These two services, comprising a free option and the paid L5 service, presented logistical challenges and considerable frustration. Despite the nominal fee of €1.90 each way for the L5 service, only cash payments were accepted. Frequent delays compounded the issue, with protracted waits at the bus stop, sometimes enduring up to 20-30 minutes. Moreover, the inability to transport skis on the free service necessitated cumbersome loading into the bus's undercarriage, resulting in a chaotic pile-up of equipment. This stark contrast to the superior bus services experienced in other resorts underscored the need for improvement. A simple solution presented itself: if the hotel proprietor were to implement a shuttle service to ferry guests to the slopes during peak hours in the morning our holiday experience would have been flawless. We would have paid extra for this service , distance to the slops , only 2km or less away . Even it was only in the morning as we could find our way home in the evening . The bus drivers were lovely , But their reluctance to assist passengers, particularly families with young children, exacerbated the challenge. Thus, we appeal to the Andorra Council to rectify these shortcomings, ensuring a seamless and enjoyable experience for all visitors. In conclusion, while our trip to Andorra had its moments , we came home with cherished memories from this lovely family run Hotel .

Just back from our second holiday in this great hotel this year. We had a week in January and liked it so much that we went back again in March. Very comfortable without being plush. Plenty of hanging and shelf space and full length mirror. Large spacious bathroom. The staff are all really lovely Natalia and Joy in the restaurant together with the others whose names I didn't get. The owners, Graham and Maria are first class hosts and have it down to a fine art particularly with the food. Breakfast is plentiful and dinner is a different theme each night i.e. Italian, Peruvian, Oriental, etc. with plenty of choice. I could go on and on but I would suggest that you read the 5 star reviews which say it all.

What a great hotel. They know their market and they cater for it! I enjoyed a lovely two weeks at this British run hotel between Arinsal and La Massana on a half board basis in early February 2024. It cost the equivalent of one week’s skiing in France! The hotel is situated out of Arinsal and in fact is nearer to La Massana which has a lift up to the skiing at Pall. This is a plus because the skiing at Pall retains the snow better than Arinsal and the skiing is more extensive. There are busses to both resorts but the service is poor. The free bus is hopeless. At times I waited over an hour. The paid for bus is better (1.9 Euros a trip) but their is no common sense with the bus stops which complicates matters. The hotel’s common parts are stylish and well decorated. As is the room which also has a large, comfy bed. The bathroom is dated and no doubt these will be improved in the near future. The bar is welcoming with fantastic value drinks. A two hour ‘happy hour’ @ 2Euros a drink is insane. A hotel charging 4 Euros for a pint of San Miguel or large wine is great value. Televisions cover the sports and at other times music videos. The live music was really good and the Crystal quiz was good fun. The food is exceptional! A themed night each night on the basis of ‘Italian’ ‘Catalan ‘English’ etc. The ‘Oriental’ night (Chinese, Japanese and Thai) was superb as was the Mexican and Italian in particular. The hotel dining room attracts restaurant goers, the food on some nights is so good. Lots of choice too and as much as you can eat. The breakfast provides continental and full English. Again, all excellent. The staff are truly exceptional. Including the hands on owners Graham and Maria. They obviously have very high standards and the staff mirror their example. Everyone is helpful, friendly and professional. They certainly made a solo traveller feel at home. This hotel is not in the resort therefore they have to ensure they are attractive enough to mitigate that fact. For the older skier who is not interested in apres ski where trance music defeats the ability to think: this is the hotel for you. A significant number of guests I encountered have stayed at the Palentine for years. A number stay for multiple weeks. I will be returning next year. That is a certainty.

Visited January 2022 on a Crystal ski holiday. Hotel is lovely, comfortable and has very friendly staff. Rooms large, comfortable and warm. Welcoming bar area with open fire and comfortable seating. Breakfast is ample for a days skiing, could maybe do with a bit more variety for vegans and vegetarians but as we are neither was fine for us. Evening meals were marvellous, each day themed differently. Plenty of variety, hard pushed to say which was my favourite as all equally tasty. The fish was to die for! Happy hour 4-6pm every day was a must and a good time to catch up with fellow holidaymakers in the bar. Covid precautions in place, always felt safe. Only downside is the bus service to the ski areas. Very hit and miss and if you miss - it can be along wait for another bus. Pity really as that was our only complaint. Not sure if it was bad because of the time of year or due to Covid. One tip. Don't try and get the free ski bus back from La Massana, Instead catch the L5 from outside the pharmacy, turn left out of gondola station. 1.90Eur fare but well worth the convenience. All in all a great week at a great hotel with some marvellous company and fab skiing. Many thanks to Graham and Maria with special thanks to Kate and Jorge.

This hotel has great staff , with special thanks to Olivia and all the others for making me feel welcome. It serves good food and has a cosy bar with a log fire and Sky Sports. Drinks are reasonable and served with a smile. Entertainment most nights. Graham and Maria , the owners are very friendly. Themed food is different every-night eg Indian , Italian etc. Rooms cleaned daily , bath in room , lovely hot water and hot radiators. Lockers in basement for your ski gear. No kettle in your room , so bring a travel one if u want a cuppa regularly . 15-20 min walk to nearest pub , supermarket, so if you want things on your doorstep its not ideally located. Free bus outside takes you Gondola 10mins away Arinsal/Pal - ideal for beginners and intermediates, but not Advanced.

Wow. What a great hotel. Rooms clean, basic but have everything you need for a ski trip. Service outstanding and attentive. Night time entertainment, varied and brilliant. Music videos on the TVs around an open fire just tops the already great experience. Saving the best till last ...... the food OMG amazing. Different theme every night and some of the best buffet food I've tasted. Can't recommend this place enough. Wish I could give it 6 stars.

Returning to a hotel you have stayed in before can often be a mistake Not so the Palarine every thing was better, rooms fresh ,modern keyless access that worked ,usb sockets some uk 3 pin Wi-Fi has been upgraded never dropping out and fast, a room safe that is easy to use and included in your holiday cost but praise praise they have kept the bath o how fantastic to soak after a days skiing , food has always been good but evening buffet is as good as it gets from English Sunday roasts to Peruvian.every night is a delight don’t just take my word even the crystal rep said the best Chinese in Andorra , happy two hour’s brings the joy of a full pint of san Miguel at 2 euro a open log fire and evening entertainment makes a pleasant evening, mine hosts maria and Graham head team palarine making every guest feel special but every member of staff did the same
