Americas Best Value Inn Porterville
8.2 (107 reviews)

Americas Best Value Inn Porterville ★★

📍 676 N Main St, Porterville

"We only stayed one night to facilitate the next day's itinerary, so as a simple stopping point I thought it was good. Parking is convenient outside the room. Room wise, there weren’t many amenities, but since we didn’t need it it didn’t matter. Because I only stayed one night, I didn't bring large luggage. If I want to enlarge my luggage, I can't open it for a long time, otherwise it will feel a bit crowded. The level of hygiene is also good."

AutoCamp Sequoia

AutoCamp Sequoia ★★★★

📍 40457 Sierra Drive, Three Rivers

"After staying in hotels for so long, staying in a campervan like this is quite fun. There are charging stations and plenty of parking spaces. The lobby design is modern and doesn't feel rural at all. The location near the stream is nice, and the rooms are spacious and well-equipped. However, what's annoying is that they don't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste. Buying them costs over $10, which is very expensive!"

Wyndham Visalia

Wyndham Visalia ★★★

📍 9000 W Airport Dr, Visalia

"We chose this hotel mainly for its convenient location between San Francisco (SFO) and Las Vegas (LAS), which made it ideal for our travel plans. However, the property is quite dated, and the air conditioning system in our first room produced a loud, disturbing noise throughout the day and night-even when switched off-which made it impossible to sleep the first night. After reporting the issue, we were moved to another room outside the main building, where the problem did not persist and we were finally able to rest. If you decide to stay here, I recommend requesting a room that is not in the main building to avoid similar issues with noisy air conditioning systems."

Best Western Exeter Inn Suites ★★★
"This Best Western is located right near the main road. All of the rooms are facing the main road, so there is constantly a loud noise of cars passing, all night. Some of the cars and trucks are very loud. The hotel only has 2 floors, ground floor and upstairs. They put us in a ground floor room, lots of noise of people walking outside, somebody knocked on our door at midnight (we didn't answer) and there were people standing outside our room talking for a long time late at night. The car park is right outside the room, anyone can go to the car park or rooms at anytime, since it is basically on the main road, so we were somewhat concerned about security. The front desk service was friendly. And the beds are decently comfortable. The drive from Best Western to the main trees at Sequoia National Park is around 1.5 hours, with very twirly roads in the Park."

Holiday Inn Express VISALIA - SEQUOIA GATEWAY AREA by IHG ★★★
"Parking was free. The room itself was fairly standard, like a three-star hotel in China, and it cost nearly 1000 RMB, so it wasn't very good value for money. I chose a hotel near Hongshan National Forest Park because it was close by, but it's actually quite far, requiring an hour's drive. If you've done more research, it would be better to stay on the way to Hongshan National Forest Park. The hotel itself was very nice and clean."
