I booked a two queen room-“accessible.” Two days before, I called to confirm & to make sure we get an accessible room, as my husband has considerable mobility limitations. I was told that the accessible room was on the third floor, far down the hallway & with a regular tub-shower combo. I’m fact, though the rooms were listed as accessible, the hotel actually had no queen rooms with a walk-in shower. So, we were offered a king room, the only one with a walk-in shower. If this were where the saga ended, I may have given three stars. However, when we checked in, the AC did not work. The front desk worker told us he could not resolve the issue, as he was the only staff on site & did not have the skills. So, we spent the night sweating it out with only a vague promise of a possible discount when the manager came in the next day. Additionally, the remote for the blinds was missing & so we had to force them down. There were no bath towels, which was quickly remedied upon request. Honestly, I believe Lamar was doing the best HS could in a bad situation. If you have accessibility needs, ask a lot of questions before booking. We were in room 212 (actually on the ground level), which we were told was the only room with a walk-in shower. However, had my husband been fully wheelchair bound, he would not have been able to use it. The shower head was high up with no adjustment or wand. There is a built in shower chair, but it is not reached by the shower. It just isn’t very functional for someone who can’t stand for their full shower. The breakfast was fine. The meeting with the manager did yield a hefty discount. Had it not, which justified two rather than one star. The staff were overall very pleasant. The property simply does not provide adequate accessibility, while relying on this in promotional materials. I really do not appreciate being misled.

I stayed for almost a week at La Quinta in Hixson for a business trip. Cindy and Mary were excellent the entire time I was here and made sure my stay was satisfactory in every way. The hotel is very clean as well as the queen suite we stayed in. They also had a huge breakfast selection that was well maintained. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to other business acquaintances.

My wife and I spent one night at The Edwin Hotel and it could not have been better. We tried to make the most of the on-site amenities and visited both Whitebird and Whiskey Thief. Both were great experiences. The next morning we had breakfast at Rembrandts in the nearby art district. Our room was a welcome change from chain hotels and was nicely appointed. Our view was mainly of the Hunter Art Museum but we could see the Tennessee River also. The location is a huge plus and we enjoyed walking across the Walnut Street Bridge and over into Coolidge Park. This is one of the best hotels we have ever been to and would love to return.

Very nice staff I love the bar and small Cafe I really love the fire pit area and the room was very nice and clean comfortable beds I would definitely recommend this hotel to anybody traveling

After reading several reviews, I was reluctant to book at this hotel; HOWEVER, my family stayed for five days and LOVED it. There were several things to point out as being well above average. The staff was fabulous. Anything that we asked had a prompt and courteous response. Our room was clean and had plenty of room, and it had a great view of the river. The breakfast was good [we have been used to COVID breakfast options at other hotels, so we thought the options were great!]. The onsite restaurant was also very good. Along with the staff, the Valet team was the BEST! Austin, Jay, Tyson, and Christian provided exceptional service, considering we had a bass boat and needed extra parking. Every time we arrived at the hotel, both the hotel and the valet staff were asking about our day and if there anything we needed. They provided local suggestions for restaurants and excursions. During one of the days, I received a personal phone call about the maintenance staff requesting to enter my room. They had discovered a leak and since we were not in the room, they requested permission (which they do NOT have to do) and informed me of the situation. They left a Twix candy bar with their apologies for the inconvenience and to let us know the problem was ”TWIXED!” What a team! My family and I are returning to Chattanooga in a couple of weeks and we will be staying at this hotel again.

Great location and good service. The key is a small kitchen, suitable for Chinese guests to cook for themselves.

I'm looking forward to staying here this week. I visited Chattanooga a few weeks ago, and stayed at a different Hilton property. This trip, we wanted to stay by the river. Before heading home from my previous trip, I stopped into the HGI, and what a wonderful staff. Emily and Christine told us about the hotel, gave us food and drink establishment recommendations, and room recommendations. All this when our reservation is 3 weeks out. If they treat you like that when you're not a guest, that's all you need to know about how they'll treat you while there. Most importantly, they gave me the restaurant choice to celebrate my bride's birthday. See you soon!
