We loved our short stay! A great family owned business. There is still construction from the hurricane, but it didn’t bother us one bit.

Fort Meyers Beaxh is recovering from Ian, but there was so much destruction. The staff were attentive to our needs and apologized for the ongoing construction. It did not impact our stay. As far as we were concerned it was part of the recovery. Everyone was so gracious and welcoming to have people coming back to the area. We are ready to go back again!

Nice view of and easy access to beach; convenient to local bars and eateries but far enough down the street to be quiet. Room was clean; in-room washer/dryer was nice (didn't use it but would have in a longer stay). Staff are friendly and polite. Elevator is broken so our room was a 3rd-floor walkup; we are in our 60s with mobility issues so we wish we would have known this before we arrived (dragging heavy luggage up 3 flights wasn't fun). Hotel (and entire Ft. Myers Beach area) is still rebuilding after Hurricane Ian, and is still a work in progress; hope they (and all local businesses and homes) can restore themselves to their former glory very soon.

Property was in fair condition, considering the damage from the hurricane, they are doing their best to rebuild and provide a pleasant experience. I would stay again.

Great location and best view of the beach you can get (front studio). Room was great too. On the older side but we liked that. Only downside was the elevator was out of order! Was on the 4th floor with bad knees. That was a real problem, but things happen, can't really blame anyone for that.

We had an amazing stay!
The only reason I selected 4 stars for property condition and area around is because of the damage from the Hurricane that remains. It is truly not by fault of the Edison House but just to draw attention to the fact that there is still significant damage and it does affect your stay. We are glad we were able to visit a year post the hurricane and understand the damage and impact it has on a community. They are a strong community and are building back up. The area is very nice, the view is beautiful, and you still have plenty of dining options. We would definitely come back and stay at the Edison Beach House again.
