Hotel Zur Altstadt

Due to my age, I have spent more than 400 nights in Europe, mainly in rural towns, but this was the first time I had experienced such unpleasant experiences. This is the first time I have given a one star on Trip Advisor. The elderly person in charge of check-in was nice, but the behavior of the young owner-like person at check-out was the worst. I've had a few troubles with keys not working properly at old hotels in Europe, but each time they helped me without making any unpleasant faces. This time, when I tried to lock the room when checking out, I couldn't get the key out of the keyhole, and I struggled for a while, but I couldn't get the key out of the keyhole. I explained this to him and asked him to go with me to his room and take out the key, but he wouldn't listen to me at all. There's no need to lock it, so I tell them to pull it out and bring it in. I was in trouble because I couldn't do that, and I felt very uncomfortable with the young owner's merciless way of speaking, and at the same time, I wondered why he would talk to customers like that. I felt like crying. In the end, the woman at the front desk who had overheard the conversation accompanied me to the room I was using and removed the key, which was easy for her as she was used to it. I guess there's a trick to it. Two weeks later, I had another problem with the key not coming out at an inn in Italy, but the host there was so kind and gentle that I compared him to the young host here. The young owner's attitude of coldly asserting his own ideas and making the customers feel uncomfortable is unacceptable. When I think of Freudenberg, I am reminded of this mean treatment, and my visit has left a bad taste in my mouth.

Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt, aber es gibt auch negative Aspekte. Noch niemals musste ich bei einem Hotelaufenthalt Vorkasse leisten. Hier wurden alle Teilnehmer direkt bei Einchecken abkassiert. Das Essen war sehr hochpreisig (Carbonara Nudel 20,50€), die Präsentation sehr gelungen. Der Service war auch sehr nett und aufmerksam. Der Hotelleiter und Koch war für smalltalk gerne zu haben und sehr freundlich. Schade, dass nach erfolgter Kritik am Essen nicht auch mal kurz das Gespräch gesucht wurde. Unser Zimmer war leider sehr laut, da die Straße auch am Wochenende stark befahren wurde und ein Brunnen vor dem Fenster die ganze Nacht hindurch rauschte.
