I've been to Fukuoka multiple times and previously stayed at other establishments that simply cannot match the Ritz. Got a king room for my honeymoon. Really appreciate Sanjay and rest of staff making us feel very appreciated from check-in until departure. The level of attentiveness was impressive, and people here speak good English. Location is quite good, close to metro/bus stops, Ohori park, and plenty of eateries/shopping/yatai's. Room is as modern as you'd expect. Bed and bathroom are very comfortable - other hotels are going to struggle to match this level of sophistication. I really appreciated the amount of space vs the typical Japanese hotel. Great amount of amenities. Minor suggestions for improvement - in-room snacks - we got the impression that several of the snacks were complimentary. After we checked out, we discovered that they were not, an unpleasant surprise. Some better communication here would be valuable. Late check out - as an Elite member at check-in we were told that late check out would be offered. However, on the day of I discovered that I still had to call to ask for late check out, and then I had to wait a bit until they called back to confirm. The small details matter in delivering a flawless experience. Still, these are relatively minor things and overall we were very satisfied with our stay. On our next stay to lovely Fukuoka we'd definitely only stay here. Book it, you won't regret it.

Accommodation date / December 20th (Fri) - December 21st (Sat) 1night 2day Single Breakfast ※Reservation by Shinkansen round trip and set on a trip to Japan We booked for a live participation in Fukuoka. [Location] The location is located in downtown Hakata, Nakasu Kawabata. I think that if you go to the water park, you can see the building, but it is not along the wide street, but it is built a little deep, so it took a little time to get to the entrance. [Building] The building itself was relatively new and clean. [Customer Service] The front desk staff and the cleaning staff were very happy and the customer service was firm. [Service] There is a space where a personal computer can be used for free or a little work. There were many shampoos in front of the front desk, and it seemed to be able to be repackaged into a small container. I think it is a happy service for female guests. Of course, there was shampoo in the room. There were also several kinds of tea bags such as herb tea in front of the front desk, and there was a tea bar that could be enjoyed freely in the room. 1F As a rental pillow in front of the elevator, we were able to choose several kinds of pillows with different hardness such as low repulsion, and what we liked. Of course, there is a pillow in the room. There were rental cycles and coin laundry. There seemed to be a night meal service. [Room] There was a closet, and the hanger was 4 books ◯ and the bathroom had a small laundry drying ◎ bedding seems to be sticky and adopts airweave. I was comfortable. There is an outlet on the bedside. There is also a humidifier. Wi-Fi was also comfortable. The water pressure of the shower is also strong. The surrounding area was quiet because it did not face a big street. [Breakfast] Breakfast is in the space in front of the front desk 1F. The space of the table is also wide, and the number of seats is large, and it was not crowded. The menu was also rich in Japanese, Western, bread and curry. Drinks such as milk, juice and coffee were also substantial. [Location] There are many restaurants around because it is located in Nakasu, and there is no problem with eating. However, there is no convenience store near the hotel, so it is wise to stop when you find a convenience store if you need anything. I think the nearest station will be around the subway ”Chushu Kawabata”, ”Tenjin” and ”Tenjin Minami”, but both are about 4 ~ 5 minutes walk. However, it is between Tenjin and Nakasu, so I think it is good to be a very tourist base.

Stay at a hotel with a good location in Fukuoka🏨 Nakasu and Tenjin are within walking distance Hakata is also only 10 minutes away by subway! Very well located This hotel can be used for business as well! Breakfast can be added for around 1800 yen 🍚 It's a buffet style! The lobby also overlooks the river. It has a feeling of openness and is very comfortable! Self check-in, Check-in using the machine at the front desk You can leave your luggage even before check-in. In exchange for a yellow tag Let's not lose it🟡 There are no amenities provided in the room. As much as you need at the lower front It was a style to take with you 😰 It was completely like a business hotel. Guest room Wi-Fi can be accessed by pressing the power button yourself. The type I use has poor connection. That's too bad. Shampoo conditioner, body soap An old hair dryer is also installed. Turn the same switch when using the refrigerator. The type that you turn on and use! Two plastic bottles filled with water There is also a kettle and tea bags at the front desk. The style of bringing it to your room and drinking it 🍵 Ironing boards are available for rent on the 11th floor. There was also a laundry room! It looks like the room on the first floor will be cleaned on the 2nd. Tokyu Stay Fukuoka Tenjin

Fukuoka|0.25km from Kihinkan Hall

We reserved 4 residential twin rooms in Tokyo Stay Tenjin from Aug 20th to 24th. As a frequent travellers (5-8 times to Japan annually), originally we had a very pleasant stay (prime location, all rooms are clean and we love the washing+drying machine in each room), until we experienced the life-time worst customer service. I requested for 2 hours late check out extension to 1pm and agreed to pay for additional charges for all rooms (2000 yen per hour per room and I paid 16000 yen in total). We experienced an unexpected long lunch on 24th and I sent a mail (at 12:30pm) via Tokyo Stay site to request for extension to 2pm (instead of 1pm). When we returned hotel at 1:20pm, one of the staff pulled his face, scolded and yelled at my family members loudly in Japanese, and he kept doing that in 3 of our rooms, even yelling at elderly and children of my family. My family members felt humiliated and were very upset. They told me that unpleasant experience, so I looked for that staff at front desk and asked the reason for the yelling and scolding, especially when we paid for all charges for extension. I used google translate in Japanese with speaker and there wasn’t any reply. When I asked for his name, he took off his name tag, ignored my request and said providing his name is against their privacy policy (All other staff were wearing name tags except him). He threatened to report to the police, if I keep asking for his name! Wait, what? So I want to ask: 1: Does the policy of Tokyo Stay allow staff to yell and scold customers when they do late check out? (not to mention we informed and paid for charges already) 2: It’s your policy to report your customers to the police when they ask your staff for their names?

Room is small but tidy and clean. The Japanese breakfast is excellent with wide variety of food. The location is very convenient, just 5mins walk from the JR station Nakasu Kawabata. There are a lot of restaurants, shopping malls around. 24 hours Donki shop is nearby. It takes around 15 mins if walking to Hakata station, and takes 20 mins to walk to Tenjin station where a lot of famous department stores scattering around.

Tenjin
I’m finishing a five night stay at the Comfort Hotel Fukuoka Tenjin. This is my third Comfort Hotel this year, and all have been similarly reliably comfortable budget hotels. The Fukuoka Tenjin version I chose because of its proximity to the places I needed to go. Tenjin is a busy area with plenty of nighttime activities to keep people busy. The hotel is on a busy road and there is noise if your room is on the front side. The dark pull down shade is great at blocking the morning sunshine for late sleepers. I slept well in spite of outside noise. I’m sure rooms facing north are quiet, but the sunshine is on the front side. The room is comfortable for soli travelers. For couples it may be ok, but For me, alone, it was fine. The bathroom is spacious for budget Japanese hotels, not the typical unit bath, and the rain forest showerhead and body spray functions are nice. For the cost, this hotel is a bargain. Tons of restaurants nearby, including 24 hour udon across the street. Mitsukoshi and Daimaru department stores a couple blocks away, and the subway 100 meters away. Easy access by subway from the airport, with no train changes. I like this hotel and its location. If I’m back in Fukuoka again, this hotel will be my first choice.

Let’s talk about the advantages first: 1. The location is extremely advantageous. The subway and buses are downstairs. The balcony and the view outside the window are excellent. The surrounding Canal City, Tenjin Underground Shopping Mall, Daimaru Department Store, etc. are only an 8-minute walk away. It is located at the intersection of the canal, and the night view is also very beautiful! 2. The room space is large enough, and the 36-square-meter family room can sleep 5 people without any problem. The bathroom is separated from dry and wet areas and is large enough, which is obviously better than ordinary Japanese hotels. Kitchen and bathroom appliances, pots, dishes, tableware, and washing machines are all available👍. Let’s talk about the shortcomings: 1. Hygiene issues. When I checked in, I noticed that the floor was not clean. Hair and lint were visible to the naked eye. There were dead mosquitoes and black marks on the walls. There were hairs on the sheets👎. This was the first problem among all the hotels and B&Bs I have stayed in in Japan. Once, I felt very bad. 2. The odor problem. The odor in the shower room is very strong, and it is difficult to remove even if the ventilation is turned on. Since the bathroom window cannot be opened, the bathroom door can only be closed and the ventilation is turned on to prevent the odor from filling the entire room! 3. The ground structure, the sofa area and the sleeping area are actually one space. However, in order to distinguish the space, the ground behind the sofa is raised to make steps. However, the floors are exactly the same and there is no color bar to indicate, making it difficult to find that there is a step. During check-in, I tripped and fell at least 3 times, but fortunately I was not injured. This is the worst experience, and it is very easy to get into danger‼ ️ 4. Noise problem. Noise is unavoidable when living in the core area, especially in Japan where there are street gangsters😅. This is still bearable, but the large platform on the roof will disturb the passengers downstairs (9th floor) when other passengers use it. It causes noise pollution, and it’s quite loud! Choose carefully if you have poor sleep quality. Summary: The advantages and disadvantages are obvious
