Century Bay Private Residences

Found this gem of a place by accident. With many hotels increasing rates during the festive season I managed to book a room here for a price I thought was way below the average for a 3 room unit. Of course my expectations were not much BUT when I arrived I was pleasantly surprised - what I say a “bang for your buck” - it was near one of the busiest shopping complexes and close to highways which was a breeze until u hit town (obviously). My room even had a sea view. It’s tucked away outside the busy streets and to me it gave me the extra quietness and calm I needed after a long drive. I hit the pool and tried the gym - not a big gym but “it’s all there”. This is what I noticed : bus station and airport was in my opinion nearby (no more than a 20min grab ride) In short you can’t fault this property for the price you’re paying. I will be back! Tq for making the stay memorable.

I recently stayed here with my partner. It’s an apartment service hotel that truly feels like my home . The unit was spacious and fully equipped with a kitchen and even a washing machine, which made my stay so convenient even for a night. The swimming pool here also spacious and open until night, so i have time to enjoy a relaxing swim in the evening after check in. In morning, I went down for breakfast at the lobby cafe. It was simple but cozy. The best part for me was the balcony with a beautiful sea view. Plus, it’s only about 5 minutes from the shopping mall, making it super convenient. Definitely a great place to stay in Penang!

My family and I had a great stay here, though there is room for improvement.  The place looks and feels a bit dated, which adds to the charm, except for when the air conditioning makes loud noises that disrupt the peace. One of the mattresses in our suite was also a little worn, sinking in every time we sit on it. We have to admit that our suite was big and cosy for all of us, with strong WiFi connection and Netflix.  Moreover, the breakfast could be better. We opted for the stay with breakfast included, and we all were served the same Big Breakfast set. It would have been nicer to have options to choose from.  This place has potential and I might consider staying here again.

Awesome unit for a quick getaway with friends. Or family.
