Hotel Mance

Very unpolite and rude owner. The owner was rude for no reason. We never had such a bad experience in some restaurant/bar. Very bad service and expensive poor quality food. Hotel Mance is the worst place you will ever experience so AVOID THIS PLACE!!!

The lady owner kept terrorizing us, four middle aged friends, for 15 minutes because we sat indoors whilst outside temperature was 36 degrees of Celsius. We left the place unserved. Before that she deprived us from filing a complaint in writing.

The garden of restaurant is very nice, decorated with flowers, looks nice. The service was so/so, quite mood-dependent, even arrogant. We got dishes different to what we have ordered. Also, if a meal after 120km on a bike does not taste you, does it mean that it is bad or you are rather not hungry? Answer yourself. For sure the owners put an effort to run their business but they are suspended somewhere between old fashion, extravagance and using gourmet seasoning (vegeta). I was stunned that my mushroom pasta was decorated with water melon and orange.

My friends and I came here to eat by a recommendation from a local website. When we came, the owner barely greeted us. He barely answered on 2-3 questions I had. The decoration was old but nice. Garden was nice. Waiter was nice. Food was ok. We ordered two dishes of beef and one of a deer. Side dish was poor. We received 4 small slices of a potato, 4 small potato croquettes and a big portion of barley groats. And we received 1 piece of "bakini knedli" (on the receipt you can see 3x "bakini knedli"). We never ordered any "bakini knedli" which you can see on a receipt. The recepit was brought to us by the owner and not the waiter who served us. I tried to pay the receipt with contactless payment 3 times by two different cards. It was denied all 3 times. The owner told me that I dont do it again because he was only throwing his paper (for printning receipts). I paid with cash although I made payments several times with my credit card that day and I had enough money on it. Later I checked what was on a receipt and I saw "bakini knedli" which we never ordered. I asked the waiter about it but he was trying to justify the receipt with the words that in the menu is written that side dish is ordered separatedly. I said the we never ordered "bakini knedli". And if it is paid separatedly, at least give me the option to choose which side dish I want. But I did not want to argue with him. I said let it be but you will never see me again. Check what you pay for.

The waiter who served us was not the one who came for the payment. The amount was rounded and speaked loudly, so everyone on the terrace heard it. The show was preformed without the receipt. We had to insist on it!!! Check the amount and the articles very carefully! Our was not precise :-(

Great place to have a unique old-fashioned experience with food. The trout was if course excellent with a high note and a pinch of nuts and other surprises. But the main reason for coming back is the stuff, waiter and owner. Old school manners and hospitality :) always time to sit with the customers and chat about experiences. Definitely cheers my day and coming back soon. The place where food is not just the food 👍
