Me and my partner went for 3 days quick getaway for my birthday really enjoyed the place, yes there was a few cats hanging around like previous reviews but nothing that put us off as soon as they came near food buffet the staff waved them back out. Our room was lovely and clean we had an amazing view. Staff all friendly and helpful couldn't fault them and the food at the buffet was good always something there for everyone but joeys Italian restaurant what a gem and highlight for our tea. All the food at joeys was fresh and we tried everything the chef there made it was all amazing. The chef was a lovely man who nothing was to much trouble for he was willing to please and cook for you. If you visit I would book at joeys and try his food is not to be missed. Entertainment was also good something on every night, kids club Entertainment was fair play to them really good always dancing by pool keeping children Entertained with games. Only thing we can negatively comment on is not enough options for alcohol no gin available we did ask pool bar and restaurant only vodka and some cocktails options with one larger one rose one red wine and one white few more options wouldn't go a miss and some gin but wouldn't put us off visiting again.

We had a week at this hotel 6th January, we were greeted at reception by a lovely fella very pleasant the only down side was there was no where to get any milk or food.our room was very big very clean we had a lovely pool view, the only down side was the kitchen would need more side boards to per pair food. Unfortunately we couldn’t get a late check out so had to hang around reception area waiting on are transfer, the only down side to that was the girl on reception that day was not very nice or helpful with anything we had ask about. We would definitely go back to these appointments.

Stayed at this hotel with friends for a long weekend mid November. The hotel is okay for the price. We agreed the hotel was 3 stars rather than the official rating of 4 stars. The hotel is located about 3km from the main town and beach. There is a Spar supermarket located across the road which is well stocked. Pros: - Large rooms - Low cost for an all inclusive hotel (£75 per night) - Decent WiFi - Decent food in the Italian restaurant compared to the buffet restaurant (you can book via a QR code). - Clean communal areas Cons: - Repetitive food and often lukewarm in the restaurant (literally the same food every night) - Repetitive music (the same 3 tracks being played all day and every day). - Housekeeping cancelling most days for no reason. - Cats everywhere - Only a couple of bar tables and stools if you just want a drink (unless you sit in the restaurant area). - If you do go to the Italian restaurant there are only two sittings (6pm and 7.45pm) and they will want you to leave within an hour. The hotel has a number of sub areas with smaller pools and separate bars, so worth walking around the whole complex. You can easily get a taxi into town from reception or the taxi rank at the top of the road (€8) Personally I would return to the hotel based on the decent rooms and low cost.

We went self catering, the apartment was old dated shower head coming off the wall had to hold when showering , no hair dryer, air con was diabolical ,had to borrow a fan it took 2 attempts to try and get one ,it was dirty ,cooking facilities was 2 rings 1 microwave and right next to a sink was the two rings to cook off , couldn’t tell what they was on as the on off and numbers around the dial wasn’t there ,no where to put any plates ,no table or chairs; couldn’t higher a towel or join in with the entertainment as it was only for all inclusive guests felt very unwelcome by the hotel staff broken tiles dirty fridge wall and floors and curtains was dirty , defo would not go back ever again and I have all the photos to prove it

Booked 2 self catering apartments as a family of 6 & it didn’t live up to its 4* rating sadly. There was some issues, dodgy dangerous plug socket, some furniture needs replacing ie coffee table had chips all over it, showers flooded the bathrooms every time someone showered & no cleaner came to one apartment which meant rubbish bin wasn’t emptied which resulted in cockroaches & we had to get the rubbish out ourselves! In all fairness to the hotel after complaining, the plug socket & cleaning did get sorted out. There was also a drainage smell which wasn’t very nice on occasions outside the apartments as you walked to & from. The apartments were ok to make breakfast & light foods but was still hard work as there wasn’t any side space to even put a plate down. The most compact kitchen area I’ve ever come across but good selection of utensils to use. There is an on-site restaurant serving freshly cooked meals at certain times but we never used it as had plans out every day. Now on to the good parts. The pool area & pools was nice, the hotel reception had times on show for a daily free bus to the beach & aquapark once a day. There is a Spar with a good selection of stuff which is just across the road & holiday world is a 5min walk which is totally worth it for food, cocktails & the amusements. The food in the upstairs part of holiday world was of great choice, lots of different food outlets & good quality. The cocktail bar had great cocktails & music til late. There is not much in the area other than a fast food place across the road (Pepe Cheringo) & holiday world but we knew this before booking & that didn’t bother us as there are good bus links & we was hiring a car anyway. On a whole the apartment was a let down & not the 4* we was expecting & 2 other ladies I spoke to had the same issues & opinions but the holiday as a whole wasn’t so bad due to the fact we was out a lot, holiday world was around the corner & we had car to go down to Puerto Rico which was only 15mins car drive away & amazing

We enjoyed our holiday a lot. Firstly would like to say the staff, throughout the hotel were all brilliant and helpful. However this hotel could be so much more. 4 swimming pools but none accessible to our 5yr old as starting at 1.5m deep, so didn’t progress learning to swim. 2 babies pools for kids less than one year old. Beds not comfortable and two singles in a double room, not possible to sleep together. Food is okay and not a bad selection. Beer was awful, Amstel for some reason not the local Tropica, but without gas and not really drinkable. Same goes for the 3 wines on offer unless you add Sprite. WiFi extremely slow either in room, at pool or reception took 9 hours to upload a 30 min video to YouTube. Basically no way a 4 star hotel based on general quality but also hotel is without a lift (an IHCS requirement), which was a problem for older guests. We did enjoy as I think we were happy to be on holidays. Gran Canaria is superb, but we would not return to this hotel in a hundred years.

*honest review Arrived home late Tuesday night and honest holiday blues. We had such a great time and already discussing going back. We stayed in zone 2 opposite the restaurant, rooms are spacious and clean. They were cleaned daily other then one day we asked not to other then bins and little one was napping. Food was as expected but saying that as a family of four and quite picky child with all of us enjoying different food there was always something to eat. The Italian restaurant was so yummy and fully enjoyed this. Snacks at the pool bar were a mix of nachos crisps, pastries, hot dogs, sandwiches and sweets. Puddings were super yummy- definitely ate more sweet then savoury 😂🙈 Fizzy soft drinks, juice and slush puppies style drinks on tap. Never really a wait at the pool bar maybe 1-2 people in front at once. Kids club- under 4’s an adult needs to stay, overs can be left my little one was just a bit nervous on his own so he didn’t want too. However he loved the mini disco and the team were great always saying hello to children and cuddles. Both children enjoyed seeing koala at the end of the disco. The little children’s park is lovely too and gave a nice space for the boys to burn off some energy in the morning and after the disco. Pools are deep so inflatables needed for little ones who can’t swim but both my boys (1 & 4) built so much confidence over the week and loved the pools. Little pool in the splash pad and this was also fully enjoyed through out the week. The pools in zone 2 were heated so not to cold but temperature hit 34 while we were out so honestly wouldn’t have minded if they were cold 😂 We enjoyed nice walks around the complex. The cats weren’t a problem and most of the time just sleeping. There were 2 cats that were occasionally in the food area outside but didn’t seem to be a problem. Didn’t notice any smells either while we were there. Team all seemed helpful and polite. Taxi to the dunes and the lighthouse/ shops/ beach were around €7 each way. My only concern was the doors out on to the porch area in our family room was just a handle no safety lock so my four year old opened it on the first day so I wasn’t comfortable letting him sleep on the sofa beds especially as it opens straight out to the pool. We had a travel cot and a fold out bed brought into the bedroom. This also meant that we then had the living room and porch to relax in the evenings while the children slept in the bedroom 🙂 x We had the best time and grateful for the positive reviews we found on an unofficial Facebook page for the website as this eased concerns after reading negative reviews here.

Me and my boyfriend booked a trip to Gran Canaria to get som quality time together and to recharge. We where therefore shocked when we arrived in the evening and realized we had been placed at the room closest to the stage. I mean it is not the hotels fault, but it made us unable to sleep until very late. We had to listen to the same childrens music day in and day out, trying to take naps without a chance. We soon realized that this is a hotel specialized for children. The staff had so many activities for children all day long. But for a couple in the 20s this was not the relaxing vacation we booked. I talked to the staff several times to try and cancel our booking for some of the days since this wasn’t what we expected. They kindly gave us a room in the quiet sone which we where so grateful for! But we realized the second we came in that there was no air conditioning there…. And in 35 degrees heat we needed some kind of air conditioning. We kindly asked again if we could get one night refunded so that we could book another hotel, but they declined again even though I was in contact with the travel company I booked trough and he accepted it. We then ended up switching hotels 1 day in advance and had to still pay for the room even though we didn’t use it. But it was so worth it because then we finally got some sleep at another hotel. And we then realized what Gran Canaria can be like. We felt like we really missed out from living at this hotel. The location is okay, you have stuff nearby. But to be honest I would rather recommend going to Mogán or Taurito with the beautiful beaches outside the hotel and the mountains. The food at the hotel was okay. The first 2 days we where happy! But then we realized that they serve almost the same things for every meal, and at the end of the day it is so messy in the buffe erea that we didn’t want to eat from it. Also you get a lot of alcohol which is a plus, but the last days we couldt stand the taste. It is waaay to much alcohol in it, and they make it from an dispenser so nothing special. All in all an okay hotel when it comes to food, the rooms, but if you are a couple Like us, stay away!
