Nice rural location, nice welcome from hostes with estate wine, breakfast in the veranda was excellent with personalized choices. No air conditioning was an issue for us, windows helped but allowed for mosquitoes and insects to enter.

This is a delightful, authentic, and magnificiently peaceful place to stay in Guimaraes. When you arrive you are greeted by the exceptionally warm and kind owner whose family has owned the property for generations. It is an incredibly beautiful and historic building and each corner you look in has a unique pieces. The hotel has a winery and there is no more beautiful place to enjoy trying the wine than sitting by the pool looking out on the vineyards. This is not an incredibly fancy hotel, rather it is a country experience that really gives you a taste of life in Portugal. The entire experience far exceeding our expectations (was truly outstanding !) and we just wish we had planned to spend more time there. It is spotlessly clean and we can't wait to come back to spend more time at this truly unique and wonderful home. It is an experience not to be missed.
