Amazing hotel with over 700 years of history. It was a castle, a church and now a guesthouse which maintains its original look. The owners are wonderful and fantastic and make every effort to make it memorable. This wine region is perfect for a couple of days and don't forget to bring your bike and swimming trunks (an outdoor pool in close proximity to the hotel). close to Vienna (30-40min by train). Highly recommended if you pass through Austria. Also check out the importance and history of Gumpoldskirchen on Wikipedia.

This hotel is fantastic. Inmitten of vineyards with great views - the place is located high in the town and I was staying on the second floor. The rooms are simple but comfortable, spotlessly clean and the whole atmosphere was very pleasant. Excellent plentyful breakfast. The "heurigen" (Austrian style restaurants run by owners of the vineyards), serve good food and wine for reasonable prices in casual, nice places. Management is excellent, very friendly and accommodating. Overall a great and happy experience. Highly recommended.

Very helpful and friendly staff!! Extremly unique lovely location inmidst of 2 millenia old vineyards. The houses in the adjacent vine-village ar at least 500 years old and extremly lovely renovated. Sit around in the greenery, sip vine, and dine in the castle: Marvelous. What life-style ... like the kings in France ... as the German saying goes.

Wir waren hier zu einem Einkehrwochenende und wurden vom Hausherrn und seiner Crew sehr professionell und liebevoll betreut. Die Zimmer im Schloss sind groß und sauber. Es gibt mehr als genug Stauraum, nicht wie in gewöhnlichen Hotelzimmern. Das Essen und die angebotenen Getränke waren sehr gut. Ich werde gerne wieder ins Schloss Gumpoldskirchen kommen.

Unser Aufenthalt war in jeder Hinsicht erfreulich, vom angenehmen Empfang über die schönen Zimmer und die gute Seminarbetreuung bis hin zum schmackhaften Essen und den tollen Freizeitgestaltungsmöglichkeiten mit exzellenten Wanderwegen gleich direkt vom Schloss in die Weinberge und Heurigen-Gegend. Exzellente Empfehlung!

Mutter Tochter Reise von der Schweiz nach Gumpoldskirchen. Wir wurden sehr herzlich begrüsst und betreut. Der Geschäftsführer Herr Ladislaus E.Batthyàny-Strattmann war ein sehr angenehmer Gastgeber, auch sein Angestellter im Frühstücksraum war ausserordentlich aufmerksam und erfüllte uns jeden Wunsch. Ein herrlicher Aufenthalt im Schloss und den Weingärten.

Fijn hotel, mooie ruime kamer, mooi uitzicht, lekker ontbijt en vriendelijke gastheer. Leuk wijndorp met veel restaurantjes. Wenen is makkelijk te bereiken per trein (40 min). Daardoor is het hotel een goede uitvalsbasis als je Wenen wel wil bezoeken, maar er niet wil overnachten.
