Positives - Clean, decently appointed VFM accommodation right in the heart of the city. - Friendly & courteous staff members especially Ms Dung at reception & breakfast service plus kitchen staff. - Decent breakfast options for the price charged & good service. - Housekeeping service was efficient and clean for all the 3 nights we stayed there. - Good wifi & amenities. - Help always offered at reception if assistance is asked for. - Walking distance to convenience stores and local restaurants. Unlike the much hyped but unclean & very loud old quarters area this is much much better (personal preference). - Good cancellation policies for last minute booking amendments not too fussy or late cancellation charges. Negatives - For late night arrivals entrance to the hotel can be a bit confusing as it shares the same lobby as the highlands coffee next door. - They have missed the trick by not offering a balcony although their r windows but for a claustrophobic person this can get a bit stressy although not that bad as the windows open wide, my room was very well ventilated, view outside on the higher floors was decent for the city. Overall considering Hanoi & price charged this is a good option to consider if your looking for a clean, hygienic, good location & decent breakfast. Staff are understanding & do not rush you for anything which is a good thing. Most of them speak atleast basic English so communication is not stressed for their is not miscommunication.

The hotel offered pick up service from the airport. I read on TripAdvisor that sometimes, the pick-up service does not work properly. Well, be assure it does not work. I stood at the airport for 30 minutes then took a Grab Car, which was there in 5 minutes and on top, cheaper then what the hotel offered. At the hotel, check in worked fine and they gave me a room on the 8th floor. The first night was a bit strange as I woke up due to the noise from the refrigerator in my room. A little push helped and the sound was gone, but unfortunately my sleep too. Not good! The second night I heard this strange construction noise slightly before midnight. Instead of getting less, it actually got more and a 02:00AM the construction site was in full swing with iron bars rolling around and gravel moved etc. I’ve attached a picture of the construction site to this post, have a look. At that time, I had enough and was on the brink of explosion and went down to the reception. It was super quite at the reception and the guy who I thought was sitting behind the counter was fast asleep. They offered me another room on the 11th floor and told me that this is the best room of the hotel. We went to the 8th floor to get my staff, got up to the 11th floor, but then the room key for the 11th floor did not work. The reception guy went down to the reception to get another key. We went to the 10th floor and tried the same exercise again and, but again the room key did not work. Same procedure, reception guy went down to get another key and we ended up at the 7th floor. Luckily at that time, the key worked and we could enter the room, 02:30AM! Considering that the hotel was at least ¾ empty I wonder what they were thinking when they gave me that room, because they knew precisely that there was this construction side in front of my hotel room. All in all, I can safely say that this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed

I chose this hotel for my group of ten visiting Hanoi for three days. It had to meet these conditions: 1. Located in French Quarter, beloved for it's beautiful architecture; 2. Front a main street for vehicle access; and 3. Rooms on the ground floor or reached by elevator. 4. Reasonable room rates The hotel offered more: suite rooms, one with a balcony facing the street, washing machine and dryer in each room, proper bathrooms, pleasing decor, and excellent service. Opposite was a shop selling pho and bun. The owner was very friendly, the food excellent. He even offered me tra da free. A few doors away was a shop selling banh cuon, my favourite breakfast, again tasty food, and VND5,000 tra da to go with the meal. The owner herself, although hardly managing to speak English, was friendly and extremely helpful, while two if the staff spoke good English. I will definitely stay here again

I was told about this place by several of my Chinese colleagues. They all said it was a great place to stay while you are in Hanoi. So, I thought I would check it out while I was visiting and sure enough it did not disappoint. The location was perfect for me since it let me walk down to the sword lake area and enjoy the attractions and dynamic energy, but also be far enough away to enjoy some peace and quiet. As for the room, it had everything I needed. The room was very clean and all the furnishing seemed fairly new and in good shape. The staff was also very kind and was quick to help whenever I needed. All in all, I would definitely stay again and will continue the tradition and recommend it to anyone that will be visiting Hanoi.

This is great hotel and at great price. The staff are so helpful and courteous. The rooms are vẻy comfortable and quiet. The free laundary facilities are a nice convenience for travelers. Breakfast is only $10 USD and almost any food you can imagine is on offer. Dinner in the cafe is excellent including the NZ steaks and Chilean wine. On our day off we walked all over the Old Quarter to the Long Bien Bridge. Speedy wifi too.

I went to Lake Hoan Kiem on foot every day. I enjoyed the scenery of Shogi and haircuts on the way. I was told that there were several delicious shops in four near the hotel. Also, the cafe nearby was very cozy and went every day. Convenience stores are not close to you, so it would be better to buy it when you find it.

We never expected to face an ”attitude” treat from a young lady with long hair receptionist at this hotel when overall reviews are good, and this is the reason we booked this hotel. The incident happened when we queried why our standard room has no window when our booking indicated has window. After a long talk, that young lady called so called sales personal. We finally be able to upgrade to deluxe room with window with acceptable price. However, she seems like was not happy with the agreement granted by the sales personal and shown black face and unhappy attitude handling the paperwork changing. At first, we were unknown the outcome from her phone talk as we do not understand Vietnamese language. She was silence and did not update us the outcome after phone talk. She only talked with her male colleague. Finally, her male colleague taken over to update us the outcome of her tele conversation and handling the room changing process. He handled the process with professional, such a nice guy, suitable to work in this service field. Hence, please take note when do booking. This hotel standard room has no window.
