The friendly staff welcomes you off the busy street into a calming labyrinth of beautifully decorated interiors. The ensuite bedroom was very spacious, a decent shower and comfortable pillows. Dinner and breakfast was delicious as my first meal in Tunisia.

On this first visit to Djerba, in search of Jewish presence and history, I chose to stay at Erriadh rather than the fancy Zone Touristique (photocopy of many zone touristique). Dar Dhiafa had been renovated in 2000 on a property which was 200 year old. The family who run the establishment is genial and helpful. The rooms are individualistic to say the least and has all the amenities necessary. A breakfast is provided and there is a restaurant in the hotel. It is situated right in the smack of Djerbahood one of the largest outside art shows to be seen anywhere. It is a short taxi ride away from Houmt Souk, the commercial area of the island. I found the atmosphere of the hotel to be very conducive to writing and relaxing. There is a pool but in January it is a bit chilly . The world famous El Ghriba synagogue is within walking distance

On my first visit to Djerba, I was travelling alone and I felt safe and welcome. The front desk had suggestions and a good knowledge of the surrounding area. I had dinner at their restaurant which was excellent, and cooled my feet by one of their two swimming pools. Each room has its own unique cozy style and pristine comfortable beds. I would doubly recommend this hotel.

Lots of charm and very pleasant for a short stay. Quiet and clean. Ideal for couples although there are a few families with children which is not pleasant all the time. The hotel is in a nice area but in the evening there is nothing to do.

A very particular and fascinating maison d'hote. Inserted in the old Jewish quarter of Djerba, it has Tunisian architecture with courtyards that follow one another and are discovered little by little and with two swimming pools. The rooms are tastefully furnished, the welcome is excellent and the breakfast is plentiful and tasty. We also had dinner one evening in the internal restaurant and the dinner was of a high standard with quality food and attentive service. I highly recommend this property

Return to the Dar Dhiafa restaurant after 4 years. The charm no longer works... Had an aperitif around the swimming pool, nothing offered to snack on. We had dinner reservations, the dishes served were not exceptional, especially the lamb with goat cheese and honey. 6 ridiculous mouthfuls, it wasn't even goat cheese. Basic chops (3 only). We preferred not to have desserts. Apart from the crazy charm of the setting housing the hotel, the restaurant is no longer worth the detour, in my opinion. Excessive value for money.

Je gardais un souvenir émerveillé de cet endroit où je suis venue plusieurs fois avant le Covid, sur plusieurs années, et c’était fabuleux. Aujourd’hui, accueil très froid, fini l’eau de rose sur les mains à l’arrivée. On nous a interdit d’utiliser la piscine en attendant le repas car on était en avance (merci l’hospitalité). Le serveur s’est trompé dans les plats et de façon très humiliante il a essayé, vainement de triturer mon assiette avec ma fourchette pour me montrer qu’il avait raison. Finalement il a réalisé qu’il s’était trompé et ne s’est pas excusé. C’était particulièrement gênant. On ne s’est pas senti bienvenus. Le monsieur a l’entrée était gentil par contre. Et la cuisine excellente, un grand bravo aux cuisiniers!
