Tatenda Guesthouse is in a safe residential neighborhood of homes just outside the busy parts of Hazyview. The big supermarket, Checkers, is about two km away. The guesthouse itself is large, with various subunits. We stayed in a two room triple, which would be good for a couple, and two kids. The beds were comfortable. There are ceiling fans, but no air conditioning, which we did not need because it was not too hot. We visited Kruger from there, which is relatively close by, and then drove the Panorama Route to see the lovely vistas of Blyde Canton etc. The road to Graskop from Hazyview is full of potholes, so drive slowly. In all, we had a lovely time. The garden is peaceful and beautiful. We did not use the pool, but there is one. We would stay there again. The location is good and one feels safe.

The welcome from our hosts was perfect. The accommodation, which will be refreshed after our departure, suited our family. The children enjoyed the swimming pool and also the two cats on site. We chose this place mainly for its proximity to Krüger Park and were not disappointed. Our hosts gave us precise safety instructions on locally encountered problems (possible "car jacking") and offered solutions to deal with them. It was possible to order food and have your laundry washed via the establishment for a very reasonable price. We really enjoyed the barbecue between users and with the hosts on Saturday evening. (Parents all agree that the use of smartphones by children and/or adolescents must be regulated ;-)) Nothing, knowing that the problems noted will be resolved after our departure. Thanks again to our hosts for their presence, both reassuring and discreet.

Wow Tatenda wow! This is a beautiful place to stay at. This is a place to go to when you are looking for peace, tranquility and the beauty of nature. Brian and his wife are excellent hosts. They are always ready to assist their guests.

What a great place to stay. Comfortable, well maintained and a breakfast that was just out of this world. Thanx to Brian and his wife and staff for looking after us like royalty. Absolute worthwhile drive to Hazyview. A real gem that I would gladly recommend.

Beautiful place to stay, accommodation & grounds were lovely. Brian & Gerda were excellent hosts. We were all made to feel very welcome throughout our stay. Great food too. We used the laundry service, dropped the clothes off in the morning & had them back mid afternoon, very good service.

Since arrival at the guest house we enjoyed the staff conduct & services rendered. I was humbled by the manager who took pains to call us to check if everything is fine on our road to the lodge. The reception, rooms and environment were very good.

We enjoyed our stay very much. The owner was welcoming us at the gate and we parked inside the property. The room was very clean, amazing and spacy and had an unique shape with a view in the backyard - was more a botanical garden with little ponds and tropical plants. Gerda helped us with information about the KNP and routes we can travel. Breakfast (fruits, beacon eggs, cereals, etc.) was served on a terrasse with a view on the landscape. We loved the Tatenda guest house. Karin and Francois.

I traveled alone and stayed at Tatenda for 7 nights, I could not have been made to feel more welcome, I felt very safe and comfortable, Brian and Gerda were wonderful hosts and I was sorry to leave. The grounds are beautiful with fabulous views at breakfast. I took a packed breakfast on safari days that was good and left out ready for me. All of the staff were very friendly and seemed genuinely happy. My room (number 5) was large, very clean and had everything I needed. I would highly recommend and will stay again. Free Wi-Fi available in room and shared areas. Thank-you again

The Tatenda Gust House was a phenomenal stay, and Brian was an incredible host who packed us super thoughtful breakfast packs for our safari and long drive to Durban. The guest house is beautiful with wonderful landscaping, and there are three adorable kitties to boot.
