Superb location! You get everything you need (and more) the moment you step out of the hotel. The only bad side is, the shops close really early, so expect everything around you to close by 10pm, no night life. Night life is 15 to 20 mins away (district 1). Rooms are relatively clean, but still dusty after room cleaning. However they provide bedroom slippers so it's still alright if you wear it while walking around in your room. I appreciate the 24/7 reception service. Didn't like that they refused to give me an extra pillow :( Still very friendly though. I'll come back definitely!

Merperla is an ideal choice for a business traveler or rather for someone specifically in Ho Chi Minh to attend an exhibition at the Saigon Convention Center. Its located in District 7 and the city comes alive around District 1. So if you are visiting HCM for business meetings or tourists, look for accommodation in District 1 or around. Merperla, however, is located minutes from the Convention Center and is a lovely hotel to stay in. Make sure you ask for rooms on the top floor facing the convention center for a lovely view. Rooms are spacious, equipped with all basic amenities to ensure your comfort. The hotel also offers in-room dining facilities and serves some decent choice of dishes. The would have only a dish or two if you are a vegetarian, however otherwise, a good menu to choose from. Portions and quality of the food - really good. The hotel also serves a good breakfast. The staff is friendly, accommodative and cooperative. The hotel also offers a free shuttle to the exhibition center almost every 20-30 minutes and immediately if you make a decent request to the staff. Make sure you book early to grab a good deal, otherwise the hotel is a little expensive (but worth it) compared to other good & limited stay options around the convention center. To sum it all, I had a comfortable and a really memorable stay at the hotel.

It's situated in a Korean area, in which you find a lot of Korean restaurants and signs. My room is clean and has all basic things: toiletries, slippers, kettle, power plugs (It was under the table so not that convenient), bottled water, towels, fridge, TV (i didn't use tho), closet with hangers. It was a good hotel experience. All the staff was very nice and warm. Helpful in all the ways. Trust worthy sightseeing. Visited many places through hotel reception staff help and booking. Great work.

My wife & I had a very comfortable stay in this surprisingly beautiful hotel in District 7. Convenient located, near 3 shopping malls & next to several convenience stores & restaurants. The hotel room is new, clean, spacious & recently renovated. I will return in my next HCM visit. I don't understand why the 1 star review. The security guard is very polite. 5 star experience for me! Highly recommended!

It is an apartment in a Korean-populated area. The room is an apartment type. It has two bedrooms and one living room with a kitchen. You can cook by yourself. Said that there is breakfast, actually someone comes to the room every morning to let you order, and then they place an order after the similar courier brother sent the meal, the whole process can be about an hour after eating breakfast. We set 5 nights, ate breakfast once, and no one came to order in the morning for the rest of the morning, so this breakfast is not meaningful. Because it is an apartment, there is no lobby similar to a hotel, which means that there is no full-time person responsible for accommodation on the spot 24 hours a day. If there is any problem, no one can be found. 90% of their personal calls are not answered. Because it is an apartment, it is cleaned twice a week, but the cleaning time is not fixed. We set 5 nights. The magic is to clean on the fifth night, but it is coming. The quilt cover is removed and put in the washing machine. The new quilt cover is not replaced. The pillow and quilt were thrown on the bed (pictured below). After we came back at 20 o'clock, the washing machine was still running. The room lights were all turned on. The quilt cover and bath towels were washed. The floor and bathroom were not cleaned. I don't know what to do? We have to cover ourselves. Fortunately, we will be on the last night. If it is not close to the exhibition hall, there is no need to deliberately choose. In fact, there are many similar apartments near the exhibition hall. Finally, the room is close to the road, which is really not soundproof.
