Myself and some collogues stayed here mid September. I was told my card would be charged $10 per room for incidentals, for a total of $40 for 4 rooms. They charged my card for an extra (5th) room ($239.55), even though the 4 rooms were already paid in advance. After viewing my banking app, I went down to consult with both front desk managers, along with the staff woman who input my information. After several moments of rude interruption regarding my concerns, they instructed me that they did not have control over what "the system" charges to my card, because it is not a manual entry. I asked for an itemized receipt, and after printing a copy of a simple 1 room charge, I asked if I could keep it for my records. The manager took the receipt from my hand, ripped it up, and told me "No, you can get your receipt after your stay". He then quickly proceeded to walk to the back where I could not speak to him any further. I begrudgingly left for my room, and quickly called the Choice Hotel customer service number, where they told me that no one except the hotel and its managers could apply a payment to a card on file, and the managerial staff controls the amounts debited from a guest's bank account. After feeling a strong sense of fraudulent activity, I took it upon myself to take pictures with room keys of all the rooms' snacks and drinks that were charge-worthy before I checked out. I also made a quick file of my collogues' names that stayed with the organization within the hotel. A hotel room sleeps 3 people, and out of 4 rooms that were rented, 10 total guests accommodated the rooms (12 would have been considered maximum occupancy). After checking out and flying back home, I noticed that the hotel had reimbursed my account $117.23, but still left $122.32 unaccounted for. I have been getting in contact with their partner, Choice Hotels, to build a lengthy, detailed report and have been hoping to receive an explanation for the money withheld. After building my case, I have called the hotel multiple times to ask for an itemized receipt for the $122.32. The front desk manager ("Jay") will not accommodate my request and refuses to allow me to speak to the General Manager, Jahn. I have the general manager's email address and phone number with extension. After some time taken today with Choice Hotels' customer service, I was told the General Manager categorized my expenses under "Unaccounted Guests", and "Snacks". They still refuse to provide me an itemized receipt, for which they know I have proof for expunging the extra charges (after receiving notice of my detailed report). This is no longer a matter of $122.32, but more of a matter of principle for the way I was unrightfully treated during my encounters with the front desk and front desk managers. I see a slew of other reviews claiming the same sort of fraudulent activity. I will raise this issue as far as I can, and if need be, will be filing a police report and consulti

This hotel exceeded expectations! Newly remodeled suite with bedroom, bathroom, large couch and work area. Quiet, comfortable bed. Free Parking and 24 hour attended front-desk. Be aware: there is not a hotel shuttle but you can take the Avis/ Budget airport shuttle and walk across the street. Breakfast is “grab n go” ; it is not breakfast but given the rate I paid, a fair trade-off. They also hold a $100 deposit on your credit card for 3 to 5 business days. I will definitely return to this hotel.

The worst experience of my LIFE! I don’t even know where to begin!!! Let’s start with the fact that Jahn De Kuhdikine (refused to give me his name for police report, had to dig for information for DAYS) was racially profiling my husband and later told him go back to AFRICA. ARE YOU JOKING?? Gave me multiple fake names due to fraudulent activity. I have been ROBBED of over $550! Maintenance man And Jahn went into my room without permission (room paid for, still checked in), packed all of my very valuable items into a large trash bags and threw it downstairs. Whilst retrieving my items, I HAD DISCOVERED MY DRIVERS LICENSE WAS STOLEN from inside of my wallet!!!! The incoherent lady at the front Mercedes was literally a joke! Why are you even employed??? My husbands ps5 cords, (packed up in a bag) were also stolen as well as 2 pair of my undergarments… I got charged $97.73 3 times for one night, $64 for “snacks”, $184.39 for another night! TWICE(stayed approximately 12 days). And the second charge was made a week (8 days) after we were already checked out! Come to find out through my bank, the card was entered manually.. wow. Tried to call and jahn was EXTREMELY disrespectful as well as every single one of his staff members, a manager tried to defend us, and he immediately got terminated. No joke. Unfortunately we had to escalate this to the police department and file charges for forgery and theft. He is seriously the most entitled, stuck up individual I have ever met! I will never stay here again, not only are you ****** but you’re a FRAUD! And reading the reviews I’m not the only victim here, this is truly SAD. Corporate does absolutely nothing with the complaints clearly, read the reviews, and the man is STILL at it! Hopefully I can get this all settled with my police report, I cannot believe this BOY owns a business.. it’s actually insane to me! Go with the reviews and NEVER give them your card information or a dime of your money! Sickening! And harassment/racism at its finest! To the people who have experienced this as well, I strongly encourage you to PRESS charges on this man he cannot keep getting away with this!!! Will definitely follow through with charges myself and I won’t stop until this man is terminated by whomever is over him and I get justice on my end for my experience.

I wish I could rate it a negative number. It was the worst place I have ever stayed. DO NOT STAY HERE. We got in at 2am and the guy at the front desk said we didn’t have a room. I should of taken that as a sign, but I had no car and they didn’t have a shuttle to the airport because I would of gone back. We get to the first room and it smelled like mildew and the A/C did not work. We got a new room and it was nasty. It smelled like bleach, the toilet did not flush. There were 2 towels that were the size of wash clothes. I think the soap was from the 80s. We witnessed a shouting match in the hallway. We stayed in the room. We were meeting people the next morning and we were supposed to stay again that night. NO WAY. There were signs in the hallway don’t leave trash. Obviously they had people living there and they should state that on their website. The couch and bench were disgusting. I did not want to take anything out of my bags. We went to the Hilton Garden Inn just down the street and had an amazing experience.

This was by far the worst experience myself and family had ever had. I typically do not leave reviews on places but if I could save at least one person from the heartache that we experienced I will take the time to review. It is lengthy so buckle up. First of all, if I could, I would give this place negative stars. We arrived and had 3 rooms booked for 7 of us. Two people per room for two rooms and 1 child plus two adults in the other room. Overall my family paid just under $800 for our stay at this “fine establishment” for 3 days. Night one, we arrived and the checkin process took over an hour. The receptionist was veryyyyy slow and as we were checking in another family was arguing with them (we should’ve know). As we’re sitting there waiting to check in two members of our party we’re sitting on each other as there was minimal seating. Within minutes a man came from the back and yelled at them “you need to get off of each other. This is a family establishment and there are kids everywhere.” Mind you they were just sitting. Doing absolutely nothing wrong, and the only child around was the one we brought with us. 🤦🏻‍♀️ This was our first interaction with “this man.” The pool is down and will not be up until Wednesday or maybe Thursday (convenient as we leave Tuesday), however looking at other reviews it’s been down for months. The breakfast at this hotel you must pay for which is usually not the case at most comfort suites, they also quoted one room for $6 a person per day and the other room $13 a person per day. Very sketch. We finally get checked into our room, they do not turn on the air before guests get there. It’s also July in Texas, the amount of must and heat coming out was disgusting. The rooms took forever to cool down as well! We decided to go get something to eat while we waited for our rooms to cool, one of our group members stayed with her child at the room while we went to grab dinner. When we got back our interactions with JJ (the man from earlier) only escalated. We found out our members who stayed behind found cockroaches in their room as well as ants or some other kind of bugs on her bed. She went down to request a linen change. JJ screamed at her that she was lying about the bugs, there was no housekeeping available at this late hour of the night (it was 6pm), he threw a flat top sheet at her, and then said we had too many people in our room. So obviously since we were lying about how many people were in each room we were lying about the bugs in there also, and then he threatened her saying he was going to charge more since 3 people were in the suite instead of 1 that was on the reservation. We did not lie about the number of people, we booked through a 3rd party and the amount of people didn’t transfer. Besides that, these are suites there is no price change between 1 person or 4 people (we checked). He continued to belittle and yell at her screaming “this is Texas, there are bugs, go back to where you came from, you

Let me start off by saying I'm not uppity and it takes a lot to get my feathers ruffled. That being said, I've never been more excited to leave a 1-star review. It would be better and more accurate if it was zero...but I'll settle for 1 if it means getting the word out. This place was atrocious. Admittedly, we booked blindly based on the fact that we are Choice Hotel members and it's been a consistently reliable chain for us. Instant regret. Management was confrontational and demeaning from the get go. We ended up asking for fresh bedding (because there were ACTUAL bugs in our bed, not because we were trying to cause a problem) and were screamed at by management and told to go back to where we came from. Which is honestly a bit ironic coming from a heavily accented French man. But we're not horrible and hateful and don't say things like that to other people. But I digress. And also, JJ....if that's your general philosophy about life then maybe the TRAVEL industry isn't the job for you. This is a HOTEL near a major airport, you quite literally get your business from people who are leaving where they came from 🤔. We dealt with ants in our beds and cockroaches all over our rooms and bathrooms. And don't even give me the 'BuT tHiS iS tExAs AnD tExAs Has BuGs' spiel because I've stayed many places in Texas and didn't have cockroach Bob and his whole family and an entire ant farm in my bed. That's just a lame excuse to be sub-par. Extermination is affordable, accessible and a NECESSITY in a venue where many different people stay....just solely on premise for health reasons. Black mold was literally growing on the showers and ceiling. The paint was peeling off the walls. Everything was dusty, crusty, musty and rusty. The mildew and old cigarette smell was overwhelming. The pool was down. There is no tram to the airport as advertised. The breakfast was not free...which I've never encountered at a Choice Hotel before. The elevator is running on duct tape and a prayer. Every single negative review on here is spot on. Don't even entertain the idea of staying here. Run. They don't accommodate you, management gaslights you and corporate apparently "can't do anything to remedy the situation". We just ate the cost and left. Best decision ever. We're currently working with the Better Business Bureau. You have been warned. There are half a dozen other hotels within eyeshot of this place. For the love of all things holy, don't make the same mistake we did. Happy travels!......elsewhere.
