Nian hotel & resorts

The rooms were large and spacious. It's a pet-friendly hotel with a small courtyard where dogs can run around freely. The hotel breakfast was plentiful, and they even gave us some homegrown vegetables as a gift. The hotel is right next to the Lu Yu Ancient Trail, perfect for hiking.

The hotel has a great environment, surrounded by bamboo forests. The rooms are large and sunny, with lush greenery visible from the windows. It wasn't crowded when I went before the ***** New Year, but the surrounding area is beautiful, with the Lu Yu Ancient Trail and cycling greenways nearby, making it suitable for family outings. The hotel service was also excellent, and the breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

Because the kids are older now, we always look for rooms with multiple beds when we travel, so everyone can sleep more comfortably. But I didn't expect the rooms at Nianshe to be so unique! It was my first time staying in a three-story suite, with bedrooms upstairs and downstairs, plus an open-plan living room on the middle floor. Who understands the bliss of having underfloor heating in winter? Even in the south, I'm enjoying short sleeves indoors. It couldn't be more convenient to go to the Luyu Ancient Trail! The housekeeper thoughtfully reminded us to descend the mountain early and be careful. Breakfast, though not a buffet, was plentiful, light, and comforting. Before we left, they even prepared freshly dug winter bamboo shoots and greens for us, so we can cook a mountain picnic at home to savor the spaciousness and freshness of the past two days. I highly recommend Nianshe, especially for families who prefer a quiet trip. If several families travel together, playing cards and having fun in the evenings is simply wonderful.

The hotel is located near the Lu Yu Ancient Trail, nestled in the mountains, offering beautiful natural scenery and a secluded atmosphere. The shower water pressure is a bit low, and due to the facilities, there might be a wait if it's crowded. The breakfast service was absolutely amazing – the auntie was warm and generous, and worried we wouldn't have enough to eat, she kept bringing us different dishes. She made pumpkin dumplings filled with shredded radish and minced meat – they were delicious! After finishing one, we wanted another and asked her for more. A huge thumbs up for the service! 👍

The butler, Xiao Niu, had added me on WeChat beforehand and entered my vehicle information, so I could drive right in upon arrival. The hotel is located in the mountains, with fresh air and beautiful scenery. I contacted the butler for any needs in the evening, and they quickly resolved them. Breakfast was delicious, perfect for my Chinese palate. They even gave me a pumpkin as a parting gift, which my child loved and carried the whole way.

Overall, it was very good. The housekeeper added me on WeChat and recorded my license plate. The room was spacious, and opening the curtains revealed a bamboo forest. We had dinner at the large tree next door; the mandarin fish and chicken were delicious. Breakfast was also good. They even gave us complimentary specialty tea upon check-out. The only slight drawback was a slight odor from the toilet, but everything else was excellent.

The hotel is nestled at the foot of Xiamu Mountain in the Xisai Mountain Scenic Area, right next to the entrance of the Lu Yu Ancient Trail. Surrounded by mountains and streams, and shaded by bamboo groves, the hotel boasts beautiful and picturesque scenery. The duplex stargazing rooms feature balconies, with ceilings approximately 6 meters high on the third floor, complemented by floor-to-ceiling windows offering direct views of the bamboo forest, swimming pool, and hillside. Room facilities are well-maintained, and room service is prompt. The hotel staff, including the butler and the bespectacled young man, are incredibly friendly and attentive, readily assisting with any requests. The lobby even thoughtfully shows animated films for children in the evenings. The swimming pool, surrounded by bamboo groves, has clean and refreshing water, instantly cooling you off in the summer heat. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious, with high-quality food. The restaurant under the trees offers fresh, delicious, and generous portions in a pleasant setting. The hotel also features its own swan lake, stream tracing area, and large lawn, making it a perfect place to relax and unwind in the mountains. A small gift was given upon departure, and the children didn't want to leave!

We arrived just before the summer holidays ended, and the hotel seemed fully booked. However, the dining and swimming areas weren't crowded. Breakfast was especially delicious; the staff said it was all homemade, much better than the hotel's assembly line meals. The firefly season was a bit late, so we were worried about missing them. We opted for the rafting tour with the complimentary tickets. It was very calm, suitable even for a four-year-old. We met a few other groups of tourists we didn't know, and we rafted together, splashing each other – pure joy! The staff were all very friendly and welcoming. When we checked out, an auntie saw me and said I looked beautifully tanned. Before leaving, we went to the nearby Fish Scale Dam to catch some small fish for the kids. A relaxing weekend!

Advantages: The room is large with floor-to-ceiling windows offering expansive views. The hotel dinner is quite good, and it's very close to the Lu Yu Ancient Trail. Disadvantages: The room looks nice at first glance, but the furnishings are actually very perfunctory. The bathroom and shower lighting is extremely dim, basically requiring you to use the toilet in complete darkness. The showerhead was also broken. The bed is large, but the bedding is mediocre. There's also an emergency door with a rusted frame. Combined with the strange layout of the light switches, it's easy to imagine that this place was originally a conference room or office (a Tongji University academician building is still preserved in the park), and was converted into a hotel after being vacant. Therefore, the room is large, but the furnishings are haphazard. Service awareness also needs improvement. Besides the Sunset Park ticket, other included souvenirs and benefits are not offered proactively by the front desk unless you ask. Based on my experience, this hotel is very poor value for money for the off-season price.
