This was a very disappointing stay, not a lot of people and had people right next to us making a lot of noise. Changed rooms, which was good. The wallpaper was peeling off the walls and there were cracks in the ceiling. Will not be staying in a Days Inn again.

Hotel is shabby and poorly maintained. The woman at the check-in, however, was friendly and cheerful. Fortunately, we only had to stay one night.

The non-smoking room smelled like cigarettes. The place looked run down. The alleged breakfast was just a Hostess cake. They also refused to reimburse the second night I paid for when I submitted the cancellation prior 24 hours. I need to go to Utica one per month to see my son that just moved there. I will not be staying at this place again.

The door lock was faulty

The front desk associate was very nice when we checked in and showed us exactly where our room was. I believe it was him that had to tell the occupants in the next room to quiet down as I had 2 small children listening and hearing things they shouldn't. The extra latch for the door was so damaged that it was pretty much useless. Was sad that there was no refrigerator.

The hotel is old and outdated. It had a moisture smell. The beds were not comfortable. Tje vending machine is broken, so no late nignt snacking.

Room is super small though clean. Direct TV was affected by clouds. Staff unwilling to help fix. Staff unwilling to make any concession. Clientel shady at best. We left no refund. Stayed at the Holiday Inn Express across the street. They understand how to treat people.

For a no-frills hotel, the positives were;
Clean rooms, large bathroom, very comfortable mattress, size of room, good coffee in the morning and ease of check in and check out.
My only complaints are that I paid for a room with two Queen beds (for a reason) and got a room with two double beds (we checked in at 11pm....no time to request a room change as the front desk person was leaving for the day). The pillows were very uncomfortable. Otherwise, it was perfectly fine for the 12 hours we were there.
