Taormina Hotels with Wifi

"I decided to celebrate my next birthday in Taormina at the renowned Excelsior Palace Hotel. Built in 1904, the hotel exudes a sense of history and age, from the lobby to the rooms. Initially, I was given a single room without a balcony, but at my request, reception upgraded me to a room with a balcony on the ground floor, right next to the lobby bar, which was very convenient. The hotel is heated by a central air conditioning system, which is loud but warm. Then, the next morning, I was awakened by construction noise—renovations were underway right next door in the bathroom, with a drill at work. I contacted reception, and they upgraded me to a deluxe room (a newer double room on the second floor). The move was a bit of a hassle—packing up, unpacking, and so on. And then, the next day, I had to check out, meaning packing up again. But the room was large and spacious, and it didn't heat up as quickly. If you turn off the noisy air conditioner, it's cold. The breakfast is monotonous: eggs, sausages, cheeses, vegetables, cereal, yogurt, nuts, sorbet, and pastries. On the second day, the coffee machine broke. I had to ask the waiters to bring coffee several times. For a hotel of this level, not fixing the coffee machine is very strange! Overall, I enjoyed my stay, but the rooms are old and not worth the price in high season; they're just paying for the name of the chain. Water from the minibar in the room is extra, there are no robes, and they didn't even congratulate me on my birthday. The tax is 4 euros per day. The hallway on the ground floor smells good. I didn't like that at breakfast I had to ask for a second cup of cappuccino, look for the waiter, and they don't ask me again whether I want coffee or not, they seem to be doing me a favor."

"Traditional hotel nominally 4*. Small room with sea view with a beautiful terrace. The breakfast is left to be eaten, hot drinks with vending machine, but the dining room staff is unfriendly and rude"

"The standard four-star resort hotel is not controversial, that is, the water in the bathroom nozzle is not under pressure and feels a little trickle. The type of room provided by Ctrip did not indicate whether it was watching the mountain or the sea. The room we gave was to look at the mountain. At the time of check-out, a city tax of 7 Euros is added."

"I recently stayed here and overall had a pleasant experience. While it’s true that some of the interior facilities are a bit outdated and could use an upgrade, everything was clean and well-maintained. The staff were polite and helpful throughout my stay, which made a big difference. The location was convenient and easy to access, and I felt safe and comfortable during my time here. Despite the older furnishings, the room was functional and had everything I needed. Wi-Fi worked well, and basic amenities were provided. It’s not a luxury place by any means, but if you’re looking for something affordable, practical, and decently located, this is a solid option. I would consider staying here again for short trips or business visits."

"Прекрасное расположение и прекраснейший вид из окна на залив и остров. До пляжа рукой подать. Очень приятный персонал. Отель не новый, внутренний интерьер и удобства немного устарели. Но для своего сегмента вполне хороший вариант."

"The location is perfect to visit everywhere in Taormina town. We stayed in the family suite with a good view. The room was clean and has the basic necessary item. If we add one small request, the mattress quality for the sofa bed (only for the third person) should be considered. The normal bed is comfortable, but the sofa bed gave me the backache."

"In total, it was a good stay. The price 1150€ for 2 nights is insane though. I like that the pool is open 24/7 and there is a beautiful restaurant with a view. The property also offered an upgrade, which was nice. The rooms are white and cold, though. Also the rooms should be cleaned while the guests are having the breakfast, so they need to use the updated system for tracking that."

"Lovely hotel with good location and parking spot 15-20 drives from Taormina, perfect place to stay between Taormina and Mount Etna. HIghly recommend spacious clean place with unbeaten price / has place to drop off luggage before and after checkin-out. Also available for late checkin with instructions to the room printed out. Only downside is if you have lots of luggages as you need to climb the stair up or down to get to your room. But overall we are very happy! Would recommend!"

"Because of the railway strike that day, our train was late and it was almost 12 o'clock in Taormina. The hostess had been waiting for us and was very satisfied. On the balcony, you can overlook Libe Island. The breakfast is rich and delicious. The landlady has a smile on her face, good service and good attitude."

"First of all, I don't know why this hotel has such a high rating. First, this hotel is not a hotel in the strict sense, and there is no 24-hour front desk (which caused us a lot of inconvenience later) Second, we booked the most expensive room type in this hotel, but it is very far from the sea and the volcano! It is on the mountain! It is very inconvenient to go to the beach or any check-in point, and it takes a long time to drive a winding mountain road to get there! In our opinion, the sea view and volcano view are completely gimmicks. Third, there was a sudden power outage at 11 o'clock in the evening. We didn't have time to wash up, and we called the staff on WhatsApp and sent messages for a long time without receiving a reply! It was only after 2 hours, at more than 1 o'clock in the morning, that we received a reply, and it was after the water and electricity were restored to normal. We waited for a long time in vain, and all our electronic devices needed electricity, but unfortunately we spent this night in a very worried and bad mood, which undoubtedly affected the mood of the trip. Although the hotel can check in early and provide champagne service upon request, I don't think this is what the staff let us recall as a ”benefit” on WhatsApp. The power outage and water outage are not your fault, but I think your attitude is not very sincere, just superficial. No matter what you say, you should know it in your heart. To be honest, I didn't see the hotel's symbolic compensation for such a long power outage, because it really affected our mood at the time. But anyway, this hotel is not recommended. If you have a car and you don't have high requirements for sea views and volcano views, if you don't want to go to the beach and can get there quickly, you can book this hotel."
