"Check-in was smooth. The room was spacious enough for the whole family, no problem at all. Downstairs, it's connected to Daikoku Drugstore and Matsuoka Shoten, making souvenir shopping very convenient. The hotel also has a nice commemorative stamp. We checked in during their 10th-anniversary celebration, and the kids got raffle stickers for answering some questions. There are many dinner options near the hotel, but expect some queues. The hotel's breakfast was absolutely delicious 😋 – I highly recommend booking a room with breakfast included. The location is also fantastic; it's right across the bus station after you exit the train station. It's super convenient for getting to all the attractions in Hakodate, and also very easy to get to Hakodate Airport."

"A great overnight luxury transit hotel within 7 - 8 mins walking distance from JR Hakodate. Good service rendered by friendly highly trained staff. Worth a stay to experience Another 10 mins walking distance to the Red Brick House 🏠 for awesome retail shopping spree 🛒🛍️ to buy the local 🇯🇵 Hokkaido delights & savour local cuisine. The Hakodate Morning Market is right across the street with succulent fresh king crab affair feast awaiting 👑 🦀. A must visit destination for all in Sapporo not to be missed 🐙🦀🪼🦞🐠🦐🐳"

"A bit distance to walk from station. Even if u take a tram, still walk a small distance. Because is winter time, I have hard time walking the icy water. Hotel is good, Very big room, nice. Very spacious. Can leave my luggage open on floor completely. Got a window but CANNOT open. Upon entering room, there is a special cupboard to put down staff. Shown in photo, where my luggage is. Oven is stated at certain floor, vending machine and laundry all at different floor. Lobby has a lot thing to pass time, since it's raining and snow at the same time. But I can't read Japanese comic."

"This hotel offers incredible value for money! The rooms come with a washing machine and microwave, and there's a convenience store and a drugstore just a short walk away. Plus, an Aeon mall is a bit further down near Hakodate Station. The airport shuttle stops right in front, making airport access super convenient. The staff are all very friendly, and there's even a kind ********* staff member at the front desk. The breakfast is absolutely amazing – the sashimi is incredibly fresh, easily on par with Hakodate morning market. Definitely choose the Japanese breakfast! For this price, it's far better value than the popular hotels near Hakodate Station. Highly recommend!"

"The hotel is conveniently located, literally about 5 minutes from the station, which is great if you are travelling with luggage. The room had the basic essentials, and the area is surrounded by many restaurants. However, for the price, I expected more. The room for two people was extremely small: basically just a bed, a very narrow table with almost no usable space, one chair, and a fridge. The space under the bed for suitcases is a smart idea, but it does not really solve the problem, as there is simply nowhere comfortable to sit or spend time in the room. Another thing I found strange was that there was a Bible and The Book of Mormon in the room. At first, I thought previous guests had left them behind, so I went downstairs to ask, and was told that this was official hotel literature. I found this confusing and unnecessary. A charger was also provided, but it was not clearly marked as a hotel item, so at first I thought it had been left behind by another guest and that the room had not been cleaned properly. The hotel provides various disposable amenities, but surprisingly there were no toothbrushes. Overall, the experience was not great. The location is convenient, but the room size, check-in experience, and some strange details made the stay disappointing."

"I visited Hakodate during Golden Week, and it was my first time traveling here by Shinkansen from Sendai, via Aomori. That's why I chose a hotel right next to the JR station. Its convenience in terms of transportation is simply unbeatable. Hakodate Morning Market is just across the street from the hotel, making dining and shopping incredibly easy. Since there were many guests checking in, both the check-in process and waiting for the elevators took quite a bit of time. The room amenities were complete and comfortable. The only downside was that the room rate during Golden Week was 3-4 times higher than usual, which was definitely not cheap."

"Facilities: Okay Cleanliness: Okay Ambiance: Okay Service: Okay The hotel is just diagonally across from Hakodate Station, less than a ten-minute walk away. Since we arrived at noon and couldn't check in yet, the front desk staff guided us to a dedicated room for self-service luggage storage. We then asked for a map and advice on how to best plan our sightseeing in Hakodate. She suggested we take a taxi directly to Hachiman-zaka Slope, as the bus services there are infrequent. After visiting that attraction, we could then go to other sights like Mount Hakodate, Motomachi Park, and the Red Brick Warehouses. For tomorrow morning, we could simply enjoy a sea urchin rice bowl at the Morning Market before heading off to Asahikawa, making for a relaxed trip."

"The hotel is just next to the station. We arrived by train on a windy and rainy day and were thankful that it’s just a short walk to the hotel. The room is spacious and the onsen is nice. The carpet is stained but we understand it’s common for hotel after some years. The hotel staff were helpful when we enquire about directions and asked to borrow umbrellas too. Though it rained on both days that we were in Hakodate, we still enjoyed ourselves using the city tram, which station is about 3mins walk across the Jr station. The market is also just less about 3mins walk away. Overall, we enjoyed our stay with the hotel and will stay here again if ever return and will recommend to friends."

"The hotels in the Yunokawa Onsen area are generally quite average, and Umi to Akari, which is a Four Points by Marriott, is no exception. However, its price is double what you'd expect. Perhaps I booked too last minute. To be honest, for this price, I'd choose other, higher-end options, and even taking a taxi there to enjoy the hot springs would be more cost-effective. This hotel does offer day-use hot spring access. Here's my experience from a few perspectives: 1. **Hygiene:** You generally don't need to worry about hygiene in Japanese hotels, and this place is no different. 2. **Dining:** I opted for the one-night, two-meal plan, and after checking in, I realized it was the worst decision. The food quality was truly average. Although there was a lot of seafood and unlimited crab legs, it was just… mediocre. I ate one meal and never went back. I'd rather walk across the street to ”Ichimonji” for Hokkaido ramen 🍜. Coincidentally, it was a Japanese holiday, and the breakfast queue was unbelievably long 🤪. 3. **Clientele:** This hotel primarily caters to tour groups. Buses kept pulling up, dropping off loads of tourists, if you catch my drift. 4. **Accommodation:** The bed and pillows were really uncomfortable. I'll spare you the details... 5. **Hot Springs:** Clean, and the quality of the hot spring water was good. It was slightly salty, and my skin felt silky smooth after bathing. There weren't many Chinese guests, and everyone was very particular about hot spring etiquette, maintaining personal space. This was a definite plus (especially with so many tour groups staying there)."

"The hotel's exterior and front desk feel a little old-fashioned, but the staff's service and the atmosphere of the hallways and rooms are good. It's a shame that there is no open-air bath or sauna, but I'm grateful that the hotel has a hot spring. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again if I could book it at a good price."
