"The hotel is facing a beautiful lake in Saga (~15 mins away from the city centre). The distance to restaurants are walkable (~30 mins) but busses there are usually 1-hour apart (last bus at 9.40 pm). The hotel also does not have a water dispenser. Instead, they have an ice dispensing machine, vending machine (for food and drinks) and microwave at common pantries on every floor."

"Check-in was simple. Bicycle rental was 500 yen per day. The building is right next to the main road, with cars passing by all night, so the soundproofing is terrible. The room and kitchen are separated by a curtain, making it very noisy—noise from all sorts of sources. However, the hostel atmosphere was nice, and they provided free earplugs. Everything else, like towels, cost extra, and the towels actually had a distinctly sour smell, which was disgusting. This was the first time I'd stayed in such a poorly hygienic place in Japan. Towels cost 100 yen, and a small cup of cola costs 300 yen. I recommend bringing your own towels."

"My first experience in Saga. I got a good deal on a flight ticket during the cherry blossom season. I landed in Fukuoka and then headed south to Saga. It was very convenient and there were not many people during the cherry blossom season. The hotel was just opposite Saga Station. I was still debating whether to change to a comfort inn, but found that it was fully booked for the days I wanted to stay. So I thought forget it. A business hotel for 300+, with a bath at night and meals included in the morning, what more could I ask for!"

The hotel facilities are a bit old, but its location is excellent, very close to the JR station and with bus stops nearby, making it convenient to visit attractions like Saga Castle and the Hot Air Balloon Museum. "It is an old house with history. It is very artistically decorated and filled with many paintings and calligraphy. The location is some distance from Saga Station, and a taxi from the JR station costs about 1,000 yen. If you walk, it takes about 20 minutes and you will pass through China Town. There are many restaurants and coffee shops on the road. Diagonally across from the hotel is Tamaya (a long-established department store in Saga), but this road is extremely quiet and the Japanese-style rooms have a very nice mood. But the area is really too small. After making the bed at night, there is basically no place to stand. On the first day of check-in, the hotel may have many guests, but something ”bad” happened. First, the toilet in the bathroom was not wiped clean. The waiter came to apologize sincerely and moved us to another room. Then we went downstairs for dinner, but when we came up, they should have made the bed while we were dining, but maybe there was not enough service staff. , the bed was not made. But fortunately they were all resolved in time. The proprietress of the hotel is very elegant. There is a service staff at the front desk who is very good in Chinese, Japanese and English. There is no problem in communication. We stayed for two consecutive days, and they specially prepared different contents for dinner so as not to eat the same thing two days. This is very thoughtful. If you come to Saga and want to try a quiet family hotel, but don’t have time to go to the mountains in the countryside, then this one is highly recommended."

"Nicely designed hotel. But rooms are small and tight. Not easy to walk around. Location a little off the center of Saga City but lots of car parking available. Service was good and helpful. And you can even buy a fireworks and play!"

"The hotel had a very good location which is just next to the JR station. The room is very clean and has a good view. Staff at the reception are very attentive and helpful. Breakfast is a buffet style with excellent food. But it would be better if dessert or some fruit could be served too. Anyway the breakfast was very good."
