"The hotel was easy to find and in a great location right in the heart of the old town. It’s about an 8-10 minutes walk to the marina, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants close by. The room was tidy and comfortable, although it wasn’t cleaned during our stay, so it seems you may need to request housekeeping if you want it. Breakfast was quite simple with just the basics. We also appreciated the 12 pm check-out, as it gave us a bit more time to rest before our afternoon trip."

"The suite was booked for 3 nights, in fact it was 2 adjacent rooms, one of which has its own outlet on the terrace, the space is a little separate from the common. One room with bed as a bedroom, the other with a living room type sofa. The bathroom is large, also has an extra door, which is reported with the general corridor but which is closed. Cleaning the room every day, staying liked. From the downsides: There is no noise insulation, every step in the corridor is heard, on the reception warned that it is possible to buy coffee for 1 euros in the kitchen, as a result, payment only cash and delivery is not available, on the last day when the evict did not work the elevator and on the reception no one was."

"Lovely hotel. Front desk staff was really good. Lady in bar has very bad attitude and gives poor service. I ordered food to my room paid an extra €5 for it to be taken to my room and her attitude was really bad. Breakfast I missed as no gluten free option and no dairy alternatives. Room wasn’t the cleanest as there was flies in the room. Bathroom was clean."

"Not my first time in Faro but chose this hotel for the rooms with balcony marina view. The hotel has a rich history and has been around since 1960s and its undergoing refurbishments in some areas. The old rooms look dated and could do with better cleaning as previous occupant’s hair was found in the bathroom. We loved the design & aesthetic looks of the new refurbished areas such as the spa, bathrooms, gym, pool & sauna but shame that there was a water leak in the indoor pool ceiling and rusty bits on the stainless steel railings. Considering it’s completed in Aug 2025, the hotel may need to do more due diligence to ensure the safety of guests. As a non Portuguese speaker, I felt that the check-in staff can make more efforts in being warm and welcoming. I noticed that this hotel is one of the few hotels ive been that check-in staffs are seated instead of standing, making the process somehow casual & less welcoming. I also called in to make a request for a late check out and received a hostile response by a lady who said ‘No. We need the room back’. We just got married the day before arriving & we are here to also celebrate my honeymoon & partner’s birthday. Weeks prior to arriving, I put in a request if the hotel could do a birthday special for him but this was not acknowledged. As an avid traveller who has stayed in many hotels around the world, I am a little dissapointed with the lack of personalised attentive service provided by the hotel. If the view & location isn’t a concern, I recommend the nearby 3HB hotel. We enjoyed our stay there. AP Eva senses have a great deal of potential, but they may be complacent at going beyond, as they are currently the only hotel at Faro marina. Additional employees like the elder gentleman pianist & hotel hairdresser were the warmest I’ve come across."

"This stay far exceeded my expectations, perfectly embodying the phrase ”feel at home”! The hotel boasts an excellent location and convenient transportation. The staff were warm and attentive, providing meticulous service from the front desk to the restaurant and room cleaning. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and the facilities were new."

"Great location! Cozy «family» dinners for cheap every night at Hostellicious with delicious homemade dishes, wine, sangria at the family barbecue at Casa D’Alagoa (see pictures) Everybody was very respectful in my 6 person female only room, and quiet at night. Made friends with many of them every day during my stay!  Lots of places to hang with people both inside and on the patio, beautiful interior  Lots of activities with great prices just for people staying at the hostel, like boat tours, hiking, bike rentals, pub crawls every night with hostellicious Bring a padlock with a thick neck, a thinwire padlock doesn’t work for keeping your drawer locked.  Sun umbrellas can be rented for like €3!! Took it to the praia de Faro. Just a ten min walk to the port from the hostel, €4 with the ferry, amazing long strip of beaches  Faro has my ♡"

"I love this hotel. It was immaculate clean and the staff was accommodating. Our room was huge with a nice balcony. The amenities were great and they even gave us a cot even though we did not request it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone especially if travelling with a family."

"All in all average clean level with slightly aged and malfunction facilities. 1. Did not suffer bug bites or itchy feeling but the bed is NOT 10/10 clean, there is dust on bed base/frame. 2. The facilities are slightly aged, room and toilet doors are tricky to close and lock. Technically there are 2 shared bathroom/toilet, but one of the shower room door cannot close while the other bathroom has a broken toilet seat. So you basically only use bathroom A for toilet and B for shower only. 3. Both bathrooms have bad ventilation, so if someone took a smelly sht, then the smell would stay for quite a while. 4. Privacy concerns: the keyhole of the room doors can be see straight through from outside into the room interior. If ladies are to stay here you may risk privacy issues or you have to use something to plug in the keyhole to block vision. 5. Rather convenient location for the price but do expect noisy environment. Good thing is the windows are thick enough to block noises and provided air-con for air ventilation while window closed. 6. Free simple breakfast, basic bread, cornflakes and egg tarts."

"Notre séjour a été cours mais nous avons trouvé une vraie chaleur humaine et à coup sûr nous reviendrons. Le cadre est fantastique, les pieds dans l’eau eau ! Petit déjeuner copieux et varié.. roof top très sympa cocktail, gastronomie fine.. Mention spéciale à tout le personnel qui est incroyablement adorable ! Merci encore à tous, à bientôt"

"The structure is a little old, even the beds. The cleaning is not good. But breakfast is abundant."
