"A very beautiful hotel. Staffs are very nice and friendly. They even prepared a take away breakfast box for me because I had to leave very early the next morning. The only thing I would say is that there are a lot of creatures and insects especially when it gets dark but of course this is in the middle of nowhere. It's normal"

The surroundings near Mae Kampong village added to the charm, with a quiet, peaceful setting that made the whole stay feel like a proper escape. Service was attentive while still giving privacy and check-in was smooth. For anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, well-run glamping experience near Chiang Mai, I'd book this again no question. "⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ As a solo traveller staying for one night, I was genuinely impressed with Portare Home in Mae Kampong. It strikes a perfect balance between feeling homely and offering all the amenities you’d expect from a high-quality stay, all set within a beautiful jungle environment. Arriving by car was straightforward, and one of the first things that stood out was the charming luggage pulley system that carries your bags up to the main house. It’s a small touch, but really memorable and adds to the character of the place. I was greeted by several friendly staff members, and check-in was quick and easy. The design and architecture of the property are what initially drew me in, and it absolutely lived up to expectations. I was shown to my room straight away and couldn’t have been happier. The bed was very comfortable, and the standout feature is the private balcony, which looks directly out into the surrounding jungle. It’s the kind of place you can sit for hours, just listening to nature. The room itself is thoughtfully equipped, with bathrobes, towels, a hairdryer, and a full set of bathroom amenities. There’s also a fridge stocked with cold bottled water. The bathroom was spacious, with a large shower and a beautiful freestanding bath positioned to take in the jungle views. The atmosphere really comes into its own in the evening, when the property is softly lit, creating a calm and relaxing setting. Waking up early to watch the sunrise from the balcony was a highlight. The light filtering through the trees and the sounds of the forest make it feel very special. In the morning, I was served a traditional Thai breakfast, with the option of fresh drip coffee and orange juice, which was a great start to the day. The location is also ideal, around a 10 to 15 minute walk from the main Mae Kampong village, so you’re close enough to explore while still enjoying peace and quiet. Overall, this was a really relaxing and restorative stay. I’m very glad I chose Portare Home and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Mae Kampong."

"The environment is beautiful, and it's so relaxing to just stay in the villa all day after breakfast! When you get hungry at lunchtime, their menu offers a wide variety of choices that are both affordable and delicious 😋. It was so comfortable that I completely forgot what it's like to be drunk. If I have the chance to visit again, this will definitely be one of my top choices, no doubt about it 😉"

"I was really impressed with this charming and cozy accommodation. The atmosphere was great, breakfast was provided, and everything was clean. The owner took good care of us. It's not far to walk to explore Mae Kampong village, and there's a shuttle service available for a reasonable price. If you're not sure what to eat at night, they also offer a *moo kata* (Thai BBQ) set that you can order, which is very convenient. While sleeping, I could hear the gentle sound of the waterfall, and the weather was pleasantly cool. It truly felt like a relaxing break immersed in nature. The only minor point is that because it's a small place, the bathroom in the room was a bit narrow. Overall, I'd say it's excellent. If you love staying close to nature, I highly recommend this place."

"Beautiful little guesthouse tucked into a valley. The room was rustic and comfortable. Fell asleep to the sound of the stream below. A delicious Thai breakfast was servered. We also too advantage of the evening bbq option. My only complaint would be the thin wall between rooms. Fortunately the neighbors were mostly quiet."

"The accommodation is beautiful and the atmosphere is good. However, when comparing the price with the value for money, it is quite expensive. Drinks such as plain water should be more. They give too little water. If you ask for more, you have to pay. But overall, it is not bad. However, it is not worth it when compared to the price of the room and the convenience. The hot water heater is not warm because the weather is cold, but the water is not hot at all."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The staff went above and beyond to make our visit comfortable, memorable, and enjoyable. The facilities are modern, well-maintained, and clearly cared for, which added greatly to the overall experience.
 While the property is a bit more expensive than some alternatives, we found it to be well worth the cost. The quality of service, accommodations, and unique experiences provided excellent value.
 We are sorry that we couldn't get an elephant morning wake up call. I feel sad for the few people that complain and make life difficult for others and also for the elephants. I think the elephant enjoyed waking up humans. We were delighted to see a pair of Northern Thailand reindeer, which was an unexpected treat.
 We are already looking forward to returning and were genuinely sad to leave. Overall, this was an outstanding experience, and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others seeking a unique and memorable stay.

"Everything is good except cleanliness. The floor in the room was sticky, there was a lot of dust under the bed, bed linens had a blood spots (thanks it was changed by our request). The balcony floor and cushions were too dusty, we didn't even sit on them. The resort is good and maybe it was not the season, but I think the staff should focus on cleaning first, that's main priority goal for every resort."
