My first impression of staff was when I arrived past midnight. A late check-in due to a flight cancellation. I haven’t ate dinner and wanted to eat. I asked front desk staff a simple question “where are quick fast food around as I want to get”. To physically drive on own to pickup. The response I got is “just order and get it delivered”. Then just handed key to room and ignored my question from there. Staff could have just said “I don’t know any around here”? or something in that nature. I was irritated already as I’m spending extra money on a hotel. Extra delivery charges may be small but I wanted to pickup ASAP, didn’t want to wait, as I was very very hungry. I searched myself driving around, at an area I do not know, and found food myself. Arrived in room and wanted to watch while eating. No remote for television. About to sleep and laid in bed. I realized walls was thin as it’s obvious you could hear people walking and talking outside. Woke up to shower and there was no hygiene items such as shampoo, etc. only soap. I would include more concerns, but I’m being kind. I don’t want to waste anymore of my time about this hotel even if just talking. Not worth my effort any longer. I knew and didn’t expect this is a 4 or 5 star hotel. But, I expected the simple things to be provided to a customer. Hotel is very old but that didn’t bother me. I wouldn’t rate this Days Inn a 2.
