Azzap Hotel Galata

Karakoy Istanbul|0.31km from ARİVAÇARŞI
Just returned from a long weekend in Istanbul with a friend. We really liked the Azzap it's very central and well within walking distance of the usual sights. The hotel itself is spotlessly clean with a lovely reception area which looks both smart and welcoming. Yes the hotel rooms are small - but it's a city hotel, what do you expect!? The beds are extremely comfortable, with lovely pillows and linen, the rooms are well insulated, I know there were people next door to me and I other than their door opening or closing I couldn't hear anything else. I was in the room above my friend and he couldn't hear me walking around. The windows open properly, so you can leave them open when you leave and the housekeeper can close them when she has done the room. I love an aired hotel room! Breakfast is served in the restaurant on the top floor so you get a great view, the choice is small but it's fine and the lady at breakfast is always cheerful and helpful. Ther are couple of things I would like to mention, but this is just for the management to take on board... *the room safes are not bolted in which is pretty pointless, guests might not realise this and leave valuables. We kept ours with us. * I loved the fact that you had to swipe your door key to go to your floor - the lift won't stop unless it is yours, you can't press any other buttons other than your own. Fantastic! * except.... you can walk from one floor to another using the stairs * the carpet on the 6th floor when you get out of the lift to go to the restaurant and bar sees a massive amount of traffic - it looks really grubby All in all, we had a great time, I'd have no hesitation recommending the Azzap.

AHG Atlas Hotel Taksim

Taksim Istanbul|1.95km from ARİVAÇARŞI

Latest booking 20 hrs ago

I have booked at Pera orient hotel because it offers what I want from an hotel during my travels and the feedbacks were in its favor. Just after my booking was done I stumble on a negative review that was posted on trip advisor. I was worried about my choice. But when I went to Istanbul and stayed there, I felt compelled to share my own experience, which was entirely different and absolutely fantastic! I believe it's essential to give credit where credit is due. First of all , if you are seeking a resort , Pera Orient is not a resort and it never claims to be one! My stay at Pera Orient was comfortable and pleasant. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the friendly and attentive staff, who made their best to help me in every possible way and to answer my queries during my 5-day long stay. Their warm smiles and genuine willingness to assist truly set the tone for my stay. The location of the hotel is ideal. A 6 min walk from the hotel takes you to Taksim square where you can take the Metro or bus to reach your desired destination. And it allowed me to make regular daily walks on istikal street . The street is a little narrow yes, but there are plenty of hotels all around that I have never felt scared or unsafe ( as it was mentioned in the negative review). And I always took the upward direction then turn right towards taksim. I was greeted by a spotless clean room with a tasteful decor. The bed was incredibly comfortable, The housekeeping staff was attentive and meticulous, making sure that my room was impeccably cleaned each day. Coffee and tea were left daily next to the kettle (sometimes with a bottle of water). When I will visit Istanbul again , I will definitely chose Pera Orient to stay in.

The Halich Hotel Istanbul Karakoy - Special Category

Karakoy Istanbul|0.1km from ARİVAÇARŞI
Nobody writes that the hotel is located in the area of construction shops !!!! Toilets and not a single grocery store are sold on the streets around. There is nowhere even to buy water !!! Not to mention eating! There is no menu in the hotel to choose what to eat. The toothbrush with paste was brought from 4 times the next day, provided that we went down and said again! Having repeatedly said that you need 2 brushes! They brought one! Not critical, but in the reviews it was written that they give brushes, and therefore we did not take them with us. It took too long to get it, but it is impossible to buy it, again, there are no stores, except for construction and lighting. It is necessary to book a hotel closer to Istiklal Street or Galata Tower. It seems that we are not far away, BUT you need to walk at least a kilometer uphill with a good upward slope. Descending is not difficult, but ascending is very difficult. Or just take a taxi. About breakfasts, according to reviews, I assumed that we would like them, but no, the portions are very small, which is a rarity for Istanbul. Namely, boiled egg, cucumber, half a tomato, sliced sausage (plates 6-8), tea / coffee, one sausage in half for two, something made of dough with cheese the size of a sausage, cheese (two types, three pieces) , one slice of butter (again, all for two), and honey, too, in a very modest volume, apparently together you need to scoop out of the common dish with spoons. There is only one conclusion, do not save money, pay extra for the fact that you will not be forced to take a taxi up! All the same, we regretted that we had saved, especially in the end, took a taxi. The workers seem to be trying, but they don't have a menu, and when asked what kind of salad they have, they say it will make a repeat from what they have, because they just recently opened. They brought salad and manti and tea and it cost 70 lire (cabbage salad). But the girls / hotel staff tried to help, but unfortunately it cannot be helped. The location and menu doesn't depend on the employees, so there is no one to blame but yourself and those who left amazing reviews, based on which we stopped here. But then again, the miser pays twice.

Union Hotel Karaköy

Karakoy Istanbul|0.1km from ARİVAÇARŞI
During my recent visit to Istanbul, I had the pleasure of staying at the boutique hotel, Union Karakoy. Although the hotel did not provide breakfast, the exceptional service provided by the friendly personnel and its prime location near a fantastic restaurant made my stay truly memorable. Upon arrival, I was warmly greeted by the staff who displayed genuine hospitality and a genuine desire to make my stay as comfortable as possible. Their attentiveness and willingness to assist with any request created a welcoming atmosphere that instantly made me feel at home. The hotel's location on the main street of Karakoy was incredibly convenient. Its proximity to various attractions, including bustling markets, historical sites, and vibrant neighborhoods, allowed me to easily explore the city on foot or by public transportation. Despite being located on a busy street, the hotel managed to maintain a peaceful ambiance, providing a quiet retreat amidst the city's vibrant energy. While the hotel did not offer breakfast, I discovered a delightful restaurant just a short stroll away. This nearby restaurant provided a wonderful breakfast experience, offering a diverse menu with delicious options to start the day. The proximity of this restaurant, coupled with the hotel's helpful recommendations, ensured that I could kickstart my mornings with a satisfying meal before setting out to explore the city. The hotel's interior design exuded a unique blend of contemporary elegance and traditional charm. The rooms were tastefully decorated, providing a comfortable and inviting retreat after a day of sightseeing. The cleanliness and attention to detail in maintaining the facilities were commendable, reflecting the hotel's commitment to providing a pleasant environment for its guests.

Istanbul Golden City Hotel
3.9/5120 Reviews
Karakoy
We stayed for 4 nights at Golden City and couldn't have picked a better location for visiting Istanbul for the first time! The views from the 10th floor restaurant are tremendous and were a highlight of our trip. We stayed on a half board service and we were very satisfied with the service and quality of the food provided. Staff in general were very courteous, and correspondence through email with the Marketing manager Ali was very prompt. Something to consider with this 5 star review is that I am also factoring in the price of our stay. We found the hotel to be very reasonably priced for it's location and views, though you might not have the same luxuries offered in other 4* hotels. For example, other guests have commented on the limitations of the lifts and the air con. If your priority is location however then I would highly recommend Golden City!

staff are so friendly and polite, location is great as it is near holic metro station and has an easy access to historic part of town. However its a bit hard to clim up to takaim street and galata tower as they are on top of hill. Room had been cleand every day .bathroom was spotless the only down side about the room would be lack of trash can in the room . Breakfast was goid and delicious. If you want to book this hotel be aware that it is in a busy strest with lots of wholesalers with construction products and it might at first bother you as it is not clear in the picture how crowded the street is. Every thing els were perfect

Stayed for two nights. Price/quality ratio - 10/10. Nearest metro - işhane and Halic. Hotel is close to everything: walking to the Galatsky Bridge, the docks of Eminen, Kadykei, the Galatian Tower minutes in 5-7 walking (up, bear in mind), all types of transport are also nearby. What you need to bear in mind: The rooms are small, but if only to stay (and what still needs a hotel in Istanbul) - it is quite. There is an elevator! Good plumbing. Also good hearing :) I had a connected room, respectively the door to the next room (closed), I heard how the neighbor:) The hotel is located among the building shops, at 7am the sellers began to vote under the windows, But the Berushi fixed it. The area is not glamorous, at night most streets will be deserted, perhaps if you are alone and return from the Istiklia bars, you may feel uncomfortable. Staff great thanks, fine staff, responsive, polite, there is a Russian-speaking young man, unfortunately didn't ask his name.
