We stayed at the La Gitanilla for 2 nights, whilst we were on a short trip to visit Jerez & Cadiz. The accommodation is amazing, the location is so peaceful, and the views from of the Cathedral from the roof terrace were fantastic. The staff were exceptional and very helpful. The location is great as it was only a short walk to the many great restaurants and Cafe's in the town. We would recommend a stay at La Gitanilla if you are looking for, comfortable accommodation, great location, and peaceful surroundings.

This small boutique hotel is the best place to stay in Jerez. Virginia and Luke are the most amazing hosts. Nothing was too much trouble for them. We came to visit the annual horse fair and spent five days at their hotel. We had a penthouse and two ground floor rooms, the ambience and decor are really beautiful and a little bit quirky. The welcome is warm and the terrace where you eat breakfast or have a sundowner has a beautiful view over Jerez.

My husband and I only spent one night at La Gitanilla. However, Virginia was very helpful several times. She arranged for a sherry wine tasting with Jaime González at Bodegas Faustino González and it was one of the highlights of our trip. We stayed in the suite at the top and were very happy with our room. We recommend La Gitanilla.

Fantastic place to stay in Jerez. Great location! Clean, comfortable, homely and run by the nicest people who go the extra mile to make your stay brilliant. Take morning breakfast in the roof terrace it’s great. Virginia is a fantastic host. Do it !

Another lovely stay here with Virginia and her team, if you come to Jerez this is the place to stay, great location, lovely rooms, and the friendliest welcome, we love it! Breakfast is served on the roof terrace (subject to weather) with a stunning view of the Cathedral and the Jerex roof tops. Under new management and so good... This hidden treasure in the heart of Jerez de la Frontera is so welcoming and enchanting we just aren't interested in booking anywhere else! Virginia, with Maria José run this establishment with honest friendliness, love, good will and dedication to ensure the guests' expectations are met, throughout. The accomodation is exquisite and designed uniquely to enhance the building's period features. Nothing is too much trouble there; it's like a home from home with consideration made for every possible need. Virginia's honesty bar, which includes the world famous sherry, cava and Spanish beers allows the guest to have refreshment around the clock. There's a lovely lounge area and roof terraces with views of the city from where breakfast can be eaten al fresco. Having travelled the world and seen many places from N&S Korea to the South Atlantic I know La Gitanilla is my only home from home...way over and above anywhere else. It's only a 15 minute drive from Jerez airport, with easy and very secure parking, it's a 5 minute walk from the lively and exciting city centre. How could anybody consider anywhere else? I strongly suggest anyone please try to book directly with Virginia; she replies promptly and is able to personalise your stay for the best experience. Don't bother using the 3rd party booking sites.

Amazing. Yes, our room was small, #7, but it was well-organized, efficient and very well-designed. Virginia has excellent taste and thinks of all the things a traveller would need. Our bed was very comfortable, the shower was hot with excellent water pressure. She has a wonderful honesty bar with beer, excellent coffee, apples, bananas, cheese, meats etc. Take what you need then write it down on the checklist to pay at the end of your stay. Virginia gave us excellent recommendations for restaurants, things to do in Jerez, bars, etc. She organized parking for us very close by. There is a wonderful rooftop terrace to relax in. The central location is excellent for 3- to 10-minute walks to restaurants, bars, cathedral, sherry tasting, etc. Virginia was very warm and welcoming and generous with her time. We would return for sure. We feel like we made a new friend.

What a little gem this place is! I was there with friends for 4 nights visiting the horse fair, it was perfect. Virginia and Luke definitely went the extra mile to make sure we had the most amazing time. Virginia knows all the best places and even booked our tickets/reservations for us. The building is spotlessly clean, the beds are comfortable and the roof terrace is a lovely spot to relax in after a long day of exploring. I will definitely be going back, and have already recommended it to friends who fancy a long weekend in Jerez. I can honestly say that I would not stay anywhere else but La Gutanilla when I visit Jerez again.

Centrally located, with gorgeous and understated yet practical design - the raised granite floor on the showers, where water could drain anywhere to the side, stood out after a few hotels where we had to watch the shower outflow. Virginia and her team were helpful, and made sure that we felt welcome during the couple of days that we spent there (and I'd have extended the stay, but we unfortunately couldn't extend the car rental).
