Courtyard House

What can I say, it was amazing. We originally booked just the tiger safari from the Courtyard Hotel but then we added a Golden Triangle tour onto the front of the holiday and they organised that too. We had amazing guides and drivers who took us to all the sites in Delhi, Jaipur and Argra, including the Taj Mahal which is a must and we were there for Holi and we saw all the people absolutely covered in colours. It was my wife's birthday on Holi and our driver bought her a huge bunch of roses. We did a sleeper train and when our driver met us we were taken to their other hotel to have a shower, change and have breakfast before driving the 150km to the Courtyard Hotel which is gorgeous, set in its own grounds in the overflow from the tiger reserve, we had huge en suite air conditioned room. Lots of outdoor seating and swimming pool. Lunch and dinner are in a dining room with painted ceilings and the food is absolutely delicious and so much of it. The salads are washed with bottled water, so everything is safe and neither of us got ill. Tiger safaris are early morning and late afternoon with our amazing naturalist Rahit, we did 11 Safari's and saw tigers on 10 of them and so much other wildlife, Rahit is very knowledgeable but also incredible good at spotting the smallest of wildlife, even saw a porcupine which are normally nocturnal. I really can't thank everyone enough, Courtyard Hotel and all it's staff are fabulous and we had an incredible holiday. Can't recommend them enough.

A beautiful home stay nestled amidst the jungle buffer zone of kanha National Park, it's a true experience staying in this house.. intimate and with natural Interactions with the super friendly and courteous staff, this place is the place to stay! And the food!! Incredible 👌 very quaint and colorful house to stay amidst the pristine jungle.. Would definitely visit soon ..

Fantastic stay at courtyard house. We booked a private safari for 6 days and had a fantastic time with great sightings. Rohit, our naturalist guide, was superb, working really hard to ensure we got the most out of our safaris. The staff team at the accommodation were also superb: friendly, welcoming and helpful. I was nervous about the food, but I needn’t have worried. It was fresh, safe and tasty. We had quite a lot of trouble with our transport, and Neelesh was so helpful in sorting alternatives quickly for us which helped keep it stress-free. I would love to go back and who***eartedly recommend it!

I would like to call Courtyard House as Courtyard Home, because this is what you will feel when you stay at this place. The property is built deep in the buffer zone, full of abundant flora and fauna. The rooms are super clean and very cosy. The food is excellent and the staff is very well trained and soft spoken. This is a very calm and peacefull place.

Excellent accomodation, delicious meals cooked by Sukhden and served by Rama.Very helpful reception staff.Great safari guided by Rohit. We had a great time at Kanha, staying at Courtyard House. Saw tigers, leopards,wild dogs, jackals sloth bear, mongoose, several different types of deer and birds. Trip extremely well organised by Neelesh Agrawal.

We were made to feel very welcome at courtyard house - it felt like home from home. Very clean and the most comfortable bed in the world. Early starts but jeeps always there to greet us - packed breakfast on the safari were excellent as were the lunches and evening dinners- in particular the soups around the camp fires each evening. Cannot recommend enough and of course we saw some tigers 😀

One of the best jungle properties I have stayed at. Brilliant hosts coupled with homestyle food. This is a definite must-visit cosy property in the buffer zone of Kanha surrounded by the jungle and closer to the main gates. A quaint peaceful experience overall. Keep it up team!

Outstanding food. Indian and continental - loved both. Special mention for Mr Sukhchain's soups. Recommend calling ahead to discuss what you'd like to eat. Great staff - the place was spotless and very well maintained. Very attentive staff, didn't have to be asked twice for anything. Highly recommend this homestay - it's not overpriced, it's extremely comfortable and you'll be very entertained absorbing their decor and antiques.

Sadly, my stay at Courtyard House was not a happy one. I was given a room detached from the main building with the explanation that some guests can become particularly noisy and, much to my regret, I now have first-hand experience of this. Never before and never again will I stay in a place where guests are seemingly allowed to make up their own rules at the expense of anyone else. The staff are polite and do their best but leadership and professional ***agement is required. If you are looking for a quiet sundowner after a day of safaris this is not the place for you.
