My husband was at Kennestone Hospital and the Holliday Express was the only hotel close to the hospital with a vacancy. I was very content with the room, the complimentary breakfast and the easy parking.

The condition of the entire building was terrible. My room (317) had mold in it. My family and I got sick with 24 hrs of our stay. Lots of mold and mildew smells. Even in the lobby, things aren't clean or well kept. Room appliances would randomly cut off. The refrigerator barely kept things cold.
One elevator has a perpetual out of order sign and no obvious sign of attempting to fix it.
Breakfast was hardly there and very poor quality when available. One day, when asked about the pancakes, I was told, "the truck didn't come" so there would be no pancakes. Multiple days old boiled eggs sitting in the refrigerator.
IHG should be ashamed of the condition.

I have stayed here before it was great but, unknown to me there was a Caffeine and Octane event the weekend I was there. It sounded like I was in the middle of the Indy 500 the entire night, so so loud. I wish I would have been warned before I booked my night stay.

There are people tent living directly outside the chain linked fence of the parking lot. The hotel sits right next to the highway, so if your room is on the backside, you’ll hear the traffic all night. Shampoo bottle in the bathroom was empty, as well as the hand soap bottle by the sink. The tub was dirty upon arrival. The ceilings in the bathroom were cracked and falling apart, most likely because the bathroom doesn’t have an exhaust fan, which if you’re like me and like hot showers, the bathroom will be fogged up. The water pressure was amazing, which I definitely appreciate. The rest of the room looked clean and there were plenty of channels to suit your viewing needs.

large electric cable / plug sticking out from under AC unit. Bedding smelled. Caulking in bathroom failing. Bathroom door warped and won't close, breakfast not worth eating and limited.

Convenient location. A little dated but you can tell efforts have been made to update. Room was clean and the bed comfortable. Some noise issues-person in room above was stomping around and people in the hallway were loud early in the morning but not the hotels fault.

This hotel is near the interstate and you hear traffic and trucks jake breaking all night. People slamming doors all night and yelling in their room and staff did NOTHING.

Usually this hotel is ok, but not today. All through the night there was a whistling sound in my room and up and down the hall way. Sounded like the building hvac system. There was banging in the hallway at random but frequent times also. Very hard to sleep. Need to dampen the doors closing too. It sounded like there was a conference up and down the hallway about how to repeatedly slam your door. Breakfast was good. Staff was friendly.

This is the type of establishment that if I had a job with the hotel I would rather live there. I enjoyed it so much that I will have to go back next week for another stay.
