Khaosok Good View Resort

One of the best accommodations we‘ve ever been to on all our travels! The owners are the nicest people offering authentic hospitality, nice and very clean rooms with AC, the yummiest food and drinks (fresh watermelon and pineapple shakes) at very low prices, organize transfers, laundry service, fantastic tours which are always on time and are there for their guests all the time! Our kids where even allowed to prepare their own banana pancakes for breakfast. Mr. And Mrs. Bao are so nice to all of the guests even having the patience to teach us some Thai. Our kids ran to the reception/ restaurant first thing in the morning in their pjs to say hello and didn‘t want to leave after 4 great days! We cannot express how grateful we are that we‘ve found this place! Thanks for everything!

We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the Good View. Mr Bao was incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful. Our family room consisted of two large bedrooms, both with en-suite, connected by a large balcony. Everything was clean and very well maintained. The air con was very effective, which was fortunate in the heat! The pool is relatively small, but as we had it to ourselves the majority of the time, it was perfect. Mr Bao was happy to deliver us drinks and fresh fruit shakes whilst we were there. The restaurant is reasonably priced, and the food is delicious, catering to fussy children and people who enjoy good Thai food as well! The complimentary breakfast offered a number of choices which kept us all happy. Couldn't recommend this place more, we felt so welcomed and well cared for.

The team that run the Good View are first class and cannot do enough to make your stay as good as possible in every aspect. I send a big thanks to Mr Bao and the team for this. The resort is small (in a good way), well maintained and high level of personalised service. I could not recommend highly enough.

We wanted to visit Khao Sok national park and were unsure how to do it. If you are unsure yourself, this is an excellent way to do it. There are only five rooms here, so book early. Located in a jungle setting with elevated walkways, this is a unique place to stop. The rooms are fine, clean with a great balcony and an awesome view. There is a really good pool too. Set just above the flora and fauna of the jungle, it was a great experience to cool off in the oasis of the swimming pool. Best of all, this place has the best, most helpful owner/ manager you could imagine. He speaks good English and has an extensive list of trips and contacts to ensure you have a great time. Breakfast is really good, and you have a choice of staying in or venturing out. Surprisingly there is a busy ***** of bars and restaurants on the road towards the national park. The manager will drop you off and pick you up from there if you so desire. We did both in our two day visit. Our meal at Good view resort was superior and a lot cheaper. We did two trips, the night jungle hike, which, personally, I wouldn't recommend. Too many people walking through the jungle with torches, not enough wild life to see. The other trip to Cheow Lan Lake was great. Amazing landscape and time to relax in the afternoon. Recommended. So look no further, this is the place to choose if you venture to Khao Sok national park.

Mr Bao and Mrs Boss were indeed fantastic hosts. Marvellous location for the National Park treks, very picturesque and tranquil. The room and food have been simply wonderful and we had all the help we needed with booking our trips & lifts, recommendations for the local area and even a crash course in Thai. Highly recommend this place!

Highly recommend. We were only there for 2 nights, but had a great stay. Fanastic accommodation in the jungle with a great host who just could not do enough to make your stay perfection. While we were here we went on an elephant feeding experience and also an amazing morning trek where we saw a variety of animals (including a baby monkey). We also used the lovely clean pool at the end of the day to cool down. We ate at the hotel one night, where the meals were as good as we have had anywhere in Thailand. The owner (Mr Bao) also arranged onward transfers to our next hotel, and offered to hold on to our luggage (as we needed to travel light).

We were accommodated in a cabin with a beautiful view of the jungle. Sitting on the terrace in the evening and listening to the sounds of the jungle was amazing. We had a reservation with breakfast, lunch and dinner could be ordered from the menu. The first day we kayaked down the river, we had a snack stop in the jungle, which was a nice experience. The next day we went on a two-day cruise on Cheow Lan Lake with one night stay provided by the khao sok view staff. They also provided us with a taxi to kata beach. We can only recommend a stay in Khao Sok and the aforementioned trips.

We had a very lovely stay at Khaosok Good View Resort: the staff and owner are very hospitable, the room was big and comfortable (beds are comfortable too!) and clean, the bathroom was perfect, the view from our balcony was gorgeous and the food.... well, all the food was just absolutely superb (I haven't had a tastier Massaman anywhere in Thailand than I had here!)! Unfortunately we only stayed for 2 nights. If and when we're back in the area we'll definitely book here again, and stay longer! The pool is a bonus, as is the location: away from the village so very quiet!

We stayed at this resort for 3 nights and our experience was top notch! From the moment we arrived to when we checked out, the staff, and particularly Mr. Bao, were friendly, courteous and extremely helpful. The resort is very close to the national park entrance. Mr. Bao also provided us with complimentary transportation to and from the park entrance and to the village. There is a mini mart and ATM right beside the resort entrance. The resort itself is set back from the road so it is quiet and feels secluded. We stayed in Bungalow #1, overlooking a lovely garden and two limestone hills. It was peaceful and relaxing. Our room was clean and the bed was especially comfortable! We had a large deck with two comfortable chairs. The food in the hotel restaurant was also exceptional. Very delicious meals and the best Penang curry we’ve had yet. The cashew chicken dish is also delicious. Smoothies are very tasty too. Breakfast was included and was also tasty. Very good scrambled eggs! The pool is small, but perfect for cooling off. It is surrounded by a deck with lounge chairs and lots of greenery. The entire hotel feels secluded and private with lots of shade from palm and banana trees to protect from the hot sun. Overall, this family run resort is just fabulous. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone staying in Khao Sok.
