I have been here the second time and i found quite few unpleasant things at the property . First the property has gone old ,the color of villas , cottages needs a repaint . That really would bring back the freshness . Limited items in food menu for Travellers from indian subcontinent . I am a vegetarian and only had option of either pizaa or fried rice in the last 3 days . Plus the property has gone expensive witn no extra benefits . This things has to be looked upon as i came with my family to show them a great property but i was quite upset when i came here . Hope the message reaches the decisionmakers .

First time to review the hotel. Let's talk about the hotel's good location right on the beach! The beach is across the pool! Corals and shells on the beach! In the morning, the ebb tide time is not suitable for diving into the sea. After 2 pm, you can go to the sea. If you can swim a little farther, you can find a lot of sea urchins. It is very fun! This island is really original, quiet and suitable for family vacations! The locals of the hotel are also very kind and warm to the Chinese! The day before check-out will also ask if you need to make an appointment to send the car to the dock. The price is also reasonable! Let ’s talk about the hotel hardware. I really bought Karma. The room for 1,000 yuan a night is very small. There is no toilet. No comb and toothbrush. Go to the front desk to buy a toothbrush. 150 baht. A toothbrush. I can see a lot of geckos eating on the wall outside. We ate two meals left at the two restaurants outside the hotel. The most unacceptable thing is that since there is no alcohol in the outside restaurant, it is said that only the hotel buys alcohol. 7-11 is far from the hotel and did not buy alcohol! Monopolize all, how powerful this hotel owner is. We bought enough snacks on Phuket before going to the island, instant noodles and drinks on the island! The hotel is well-equipped with nearly 100 small independent villas. The infinity pool is amazing. The staff are very polite and nice. You can book sea tours directly at the hotel. The tour guide Toby is very nice. The price is reasonable and can be included in the room fee. In addition Be sure to try eating in the hotel restaurant, the prices are cheap and the food is of high quality! The only uncomfortable thing is that the bedding in the room is hard and damp, and there are paper towels thrown by previous guests in the bedside table that have not been cleaned. Overall, it should be the best hotel experience in the same price range on Changchun Island. However, it should be noted that the boat terminal suggested by Ctrip is wrong, it will take a long time, and it is easy to be deceived by scalpers at the port. The hotel is a large complex intended for a large (Chinese) clientele. It is very well located with direct access to the beach and close to small restaurants. The rooms are pleasant, clean and well maintained. As the Chinese clientele has not yet returned since Covid, the services are rather average due to a lack of staff who are nevertheless very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet is very average and there is no possibility of lunch or dinner although the dining room is huge. Ko Yao Yai being renowned for being wilder than the rest of the islands in the region, it is not surprising that the tourist take-off is late and life seems ”in slow motion”.

We are a group of 8, so we booked a few rooms plus a 3 bedroom pool villa good for our group. Pool in the villa is large but there are a lot of mosquitoes. That does affect the time we spend outdoors. We stay safe indoors by keeping the doors and windows shut most times and turn on the air conditioning. ( they should do some regular fogging as the mosquitoes situation are really bad and we all got bitten on arrival ) Good selection of movies. Spacious 2 storeys villa with plenty of seats for talking and eating. Breakfast in the La Sirena Restaurant has a decent selection with a la carte choice for egg dish and buffet for the pastries/ fruits / drinks and cheese. We try the on site Thai restaurant which is above average especially the mango sticky rice. Overall a decent stay if they can control the mosquitoes situation.

The bunk bed is very suitable for families with two children. The slide pool and the children's activity room ocean ball are suitable for parents and children. The hotel is relatively new as a whole and has a good design. The swimming pool in the front area is very quiet and suitable for honeymoon families. The villa is also very good and is the first choice with no budget limit. The only flaw is that the water quality of Yao Ya Island is average. There is no sea and only tidal flats during low tide at 5 or 6 o'clock. From 3 to 4 o'clock in the morning, you can play on the beach and tread water. Surrounding restaurants such as Chill Chill are cheap and good. The Japanese restaurant in the hotel is relatively expensive and the dishes are very average. I don't recommend it. The beach restaurant tastes good, but the seafood platter costs more than 1,000. The seafood is average and seems to be frozen, so be careful when ordering it. Regarding the speedboat issue, the hotel's official website shows that a three-night reservation includes a speedboat. I also booked a three-night reservation with Ctrip and no money was charged, so I'm not sure whether Ctrip's booking package includes the speedboat fee. It would be best if Ctrip could write it clearly in the reservation. After all, the official website reservation website The speed is very slow, but it is very convenient if you are used to Ctrip.

We stayed at Cape Kudu 2 nights, and our stay was simply amazing. First of all Koh Yao Noi is way underrated. Loved the island, not extremely crowded and super local. Cape Kudu is simply the hotel to stay, super friendly staff, always willing to help. Additionally, Antoine the GM is also super friendly. The pool area is amazing, as well as the restaurant. The breakfast was insane! This is one of the best hotels we’ve ever stayed at. Amazing price-quality relationship. They organised a tour in long tail boat for us and was perfect. If I knew earlier, I would have stayed here longer and avoided other “hyped” places like Phi Phi.

Overall a good stay. Feels like it’s one of the best on the island. If you’re looking for a really quiet town with lots of sun and relaxation, this is it. Resort food leaves something to be desired. There is much better (and cheaper) food up the road within a few steps. Cleanliness is on par with the what I’ve seen elsewhere in Thailand. Would go back!

We had a great stay in a Garden Villa - beautiful, clean and comfortable Villa. Loved spending time on the patio, the hotel even delivered us dinner one night to eat on our private patio. Breakfast is delicious with lots of options. The staff is very welcoming and accommodating. Beach bar is cute with chairs to relax and enjoy an afternoon or evening cocktail. Location is the only potential downside to be aware of - most restaurants and sandy beaches to swim and spend time on the beach are on the east side of the island. If you are comfortable motor biking which we are, it wasn’t a problem to motorbike 15 minutes across the island or into the small town. You can rent a motorbike directly from the hotel. But the location is quiet and beautiful!

We are so happy we chose to stay at SAM SAM and Koh Yao Noi! This hotel is a unique experience, full of beautiful art, kind and attentive staff, beautiful grounds with views of the surrounding jungle hills, and tucked away from the rest of the town. Each villa/suite seems to be incredibly private which I think is hard to find in other hotels. The basics are covered: breakfasts were delicious, beds comfortable, great AC, everything you expect from a nice hotel, but there were many extras as well! From the nice gym to the dojo to the scooter and bike rental to the table tennis, and more including many experiences. They booked all of our travel from our previous hotel in Phuket, to our next hotel in Krabi. It’s nice to feel cared for like this! We will be daydreaming about Koh Yao Noi and our time at SAM SAM until we are able to return again! Highly recommended!
