A lovely week in Kos with my best friend and couldn’t have chosen a better place to stay. Everything was immaculately clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel suited us at it sits a stone’s throw from a serene stretch of coastline, with nearby Tigaki and Kos town easily accessible by rental/bus/taxi for bars and restaurants. I felt able to switch off and relax in a way I haven’t been able to for a long time and just let myself go along with the Island’s flow. Highly recommend visiting the mountain town of Zia and climbing Mount Dikaios, as well as the Three Island Boat Trip. The local beach of Marmari is so quiet and peaceful and only a short walk from the hotel, with water as clear as glass and sunbeds that we made good use of. Every day, we’d stop in the little supermarket for water en route to the beach and the couple there couldn’t have been more friendly, as was our experience with most locals. From arrival, Hotel Manager Dimitris was on hand with recommendations and advice on exploring the island and all excursions/rentals can be booked through him. He could always be found behind the bar, happy to chat and make excellent drinks and always provided top notch service. Mama Clairy’s cooking was the defining experience of our stay - every night she provided a delicious, home-cooked, three-course, traditional meal. Not to forget the home-made jams on offer with the breakfast selection (of which she kindly provided a pot of for me to take home - love you Mama Clairy). As two young women travelling alone we always felt safe on the island, especially at the hotel. I think the family atmosphere spilled out to the guests and we made some brilliant friends in our short time there. If you want a unique, authentic, comfortable stay, full of personality and great food, don’t bother looking anywhere else. We begrudgingly packed up our suitcases on the last day and returned home with nothing but fond memories, appreciation and thanks for our trip to this little island and the lovely Bourantanis family who looked after us so well.

I go to Kos almost every year and this year I went 2 times. When I go with friends or family its always here at Hotel Bouradanis. The family that runs the place have become friends to me and when I go see them its always a special time. The food that Claree makes its delicious and made with passion. They are making renovations in the off season and I look forward to seeing the changes next year. Mari Mari where the hotel is located is quiet and surrounded by beautiful beaches, I highly recommend it. matt

We can only agree with all the reviews. The whole family made us feel very welcome and nothing was any trouble. We felt thoroughly spoilt for the whole week. The buffet Breakfast with homemade yogurt and jams was lovely. The evening meals were so delicious. We loved that Mama Clairy explained how every dish had been made and what ingredients were used. All the meals were Greek and although you don’t get a choice - this was a positive thing - it was lovely trying things we maybe wouldn’t have tried. Everything was delicious. Everything about this hotel is special. It’s quiet and very friendly. The beach is about 20 minutes walk away. Sandy beach which is clean. Tigaki is about 35 to 45 minutes walk depending on the route you take but worth a visit. Bikes cars or buggies are available to hire if you don’t enjoy the walk. We would definitely recommend and would love to go again. Thank you to all the Bouradanis family for making our stay so lovely.

If you enjoy an unspoilt landscape, nature, being treat like one of the family, peace, acceptance and damn good cooking.. then run.. don’t walk to Hotel Bouradanis! We arrived early hours of the morning and were greeted by the awesome cocktail maker surfer son..Dimitri. As it was very late, Mama Clairy had made sandwiches for us to take to our room along with some water. Rooms are over two floors, very large with comfy beds and crisp white sheets. Tastefully decorated, clean and functional and every room has a terrace or a balcony. You can hire a safe at the reception if you want it, or f you require air conditioning it’s an additional charge but the rooms are spacious and airy so we didn’t need it in September. There is a fridge in your room for water etc. in the morning, after the most amazing sunrise.. we were met by Mama Clairy (a very cool, rock chick mama with a true chilled hippy vibe!) and her husband Vasilis (very kind biker dude with a great sense of humour). Mama explained that the Greek yoghurt was from a local farm along with the eggs and the variety of jams to pour on your yoghurt were made by her own expert hand..with sugar free options. Bread, ham, cheese, juice, cereal, coffee, fruit and salad.. plenty to help yourself to. The pool is beautiful, amazing Mountain View and always peaceful with plenty of beds.. I had the pool to myself most days..bliss! You can have lunch cooked by mama if you want it.. we did a couple of times and I can’t rate the cooking enough! Woman has skills!! 5 star food every day of the week! For dinner, you can sit outside or inside and it’s cooked with love, homegrown and local produce. Three courses..we cleared our plates every night.. there was nothing we didn’t like. Delicious! For fussy eaters and those without an open mind… be aware you don’t have a choice at dinner. But don’t complain..just don’t stay here if that’s not what you are into. For the rest of you.. enjoy.. you are in for a treat! The bar is well stocked, the beer is cold.. and Dimitri will serve you whatever you want.. a skilled mixologist, he doesn’t disappoint! Mixed us up a treat with herbs from the garden.. you can book cars, bikes, excursions all from the reception. We booked an excursion to the volcano island which was ace! Hired bikes and also walked up the road to take the bus into Kos Town. All very easy and no effort. The beach is a short walk 15-30 mins depending on your stride. Walk by the salt lake or along the salt lake to the joining villages if you want to.. beautiful walk or an east bike ride. There are places along the beach where you can hire huts/beds for the day with all the amenities you may need. Everyone at Bouradanis made us feel very welcome..including the cats! Thanks guys.. can’t wait to see you and the refurbishments next year! Much love 💕

What can I say except we didn't want to leave !! This small family run hotel is the most welcome place we have ever stayed, the whole Bouradanis family are wonderful and so welcoming. Our room was large and very clean with a fridge, there isn't a kettle or hairdryer but I knew this and took my own. The hotel is surrounded by countryside but only a 10 - 15 minute walk to the beach and to the salt lake which we could see both from our balcony. The breakfast is simple but so very tasty ( I especially loved the Greek yoghurt and Mama Clairy's homemade fruit jam with chocolate) . Every evening we looked forward to seeing what wonderful meal Mama Clairy had cooked for us they were all so tasty and traditionally greek. Dimitri is on hand to organise any trips or car rental etc. you might need, Christina always had a lovely smile and believe me the father Vassilis is definitely not grumpy he was always available for a chat and a smile. We don't usually go back to a place as there is a big world to visit but the whole family made us feel so welcome we will definitely be back xx

We don't write reviews as a rule, but we feel we had to with this hotel. It was one of the nices hotels we have stayed in. we arrived late at night ( well early morning ). We were meet by Dimitri on the desk, he showed us straight to our large room with sandwich and water. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We got up in the morning to a buffet breakfast which we later learnt Mama Clairey had made all the marmalades, jam and yogurt, it was so tasty. Their where plenty of sunbeds around the pool which was very clean,it was so quite and relaxing. Dimitri organised car hire for us which was so conveniant. The evening meal, well what can I say, everyday it was something different. Cooked by Mama Clairey. She explained all the ingredients and smiled all the time. The staff in the dining room and around were all lovely. Christine smiled all the time and nothing was too much trouble for anyone of the staff. After severn wonderfull days the coach arrived to return us to the airport, and all the staff waved us off. We don't usually return to same holiday as we are in our seventys and still have more to see, but I think we will have to return here because it was wonderfull.
