Hotel Stary

The location is very good, next to the central square, and most of the famous attractions are concentrated in the old town, so it is very convenient. The breakfast at the hotel was great, although the choice was not too much, but the quality was high. The only thing that is criticized is that the room is a little dim, but the front desk staff is very good. I will choose this store next time in Krakow.
Globtroter Guest House

This is a quaint little guest house in the old town , it does not have a lift so no good to people with mobility problems , they supply towels and shower gel and there is tea and coffee in the room , there is a small fridge in the communal area, but nothing to cook on not even a microwave no plates etc, for a room only I did expect more facilities, my room was not in the main building but over looking a bar courtyard , this was very noisy in the evening, also someone started drilling early every morning, ideal as a base, quite dated but clean and reception staff friendly

Faust ApartHostel

Not a bad hostel, normal beds with nightclubs-can be read.Sweats are fine. There is a kitchen-can be breakfast bought with biscuits against.Very successful location-2 minutes Starbucks and food stores, 4 minutes central area-for night walks suitable)3 minutes to tram stop!10 minutes to the station, and from there and to the airport. Not noticed that rooms are common(men women)the first experience of the hostel) And in general, a very successful option for the minimum cost.
Antique Apartments Old Town

We booked a studio and on arrival we were quite suprised to be asked for a deposit of 350PL for the room, which we will get back at the end of our stay. But we were told it could take a few days for the refund to go back into our bank. I havent seen any comments on this, so be prepared. The first room we were given was up on the 5th floor, this meant going up 5 double sets of concrete steps and as my mobility isnt great, we got to the 2nd floor and had to come back down (no lifts) to be fair the lady on reception changed our room and we were fiven a room on the 1st floor. Room is very small, but clean and tidy and suited our needs of being a bed at the end of a night. Breakfast is in a restaurant just to the right of the apartments and is pf excellent quality, so worth the extra. Its not like a Hotel, so no cleaner comes into the room during your stay, which was ok for us, but that means no bins will be emptied, so just be mindful of that from the bathroom point of view. Id come back here, we just needed a base for after our trips out. It is situated in the old town and literally a couple of minutes walk to the square, where you will find everything..
Antique Apartments Plac Szczepanski

The apartments were spotlessly clean and situated within about 2 minutes walk of the main square but also facing our own square. The only downside was we were on the 5th floor- and there's no lift (122 steps- I counted them). However I think we got the best of the apartments under the eaves with a lovely view over the rooftops of Krakow. The apartment had everything you could really want from a holiday apartment- very well equipped in the small kitchen, shower room with hand soap and shower gel, and very comfortable bed. Also our top rooms had a small balcony- not available on the lower floors. Our little courtyard was full of fairy lit Christmas trees (I think they stay up until 1st Feb) and looked really pretty. We went B&B and the breakfast was in the cafe next door - Royal Scandale- which was also lovely. The staff were very friendly and the food and service were excellent. Overall- apart from the many stairs this was a lovely apartment in a great spot.
