We couldn't have stayed in a more amazing hotel while in Kyoto. From the first moment we stepped in, we were greeted with hospitality. Every staff member we encountered was respectful and extremely helpful. Our room was well appointed and had more amenities than we could use. Not to mention, the private in room onsen. This was the whole reason we chose this hotel and it did not disappoint. The water was refreshing and you could really feel the healing effects. As for the meals that the hotel provides... I must say both the Japanese set and Western set breakfasts were delightful and had many options. The fresh ingredients and the diligence of the dining staff were impeccable. We felt truly valued as guests. It is safe to say that I would recommend this hotel to anyone who wishes to stay in Kyoto. We most certainly will be back!

This hotel is incredible ! It’s brand new, rooms are very upmarket, great facilities, quality of food (breakfast needs to be experienced to be believed), gym was excellent but it is the service that is absolutely mind blowing ! We haven’t experienced anything like it decades ! The check in experience was first class, room service first class and the concierge managed to surprise us every single day - running after us with umbrellas, chasing down taxi’s in the rain, big smiles every day and they were all really nice to our 5 Year old daughter (and it was genuine) ! So, we left our passports in the room safe by mistake - they called as soon as they found them (by which time we were in Tokyo) - the hotel manager, Kiyoshi Gomamoto sent one of their staff (Kokoro) to Tokyo hi hand deliver/return our passports to us, she was a lovely lady ! We are so appreciative and will cherish the memories from this hotel ! Thank you Kokoro, Kiyoshi and everyone at Fauchon. Highly recommended !

If you come by car, you have to park in a nearby parking lot, so parking is not free because it is not affiliated with the hotel, but the hotel's location, rooms, cleanliness, etc. are perfect. Wonderful & decent hotel if you're willing to walk a bit. The closest bus stop is 5 minutes away, but if you want to go to the shopping street at Kawaramachi Station, it's 10 minutes. It's not far at all, typing it out like this, but going back to the hotel after a long day might be a little frustrating if you don't know your way around the bus/metro lines. On the positive side, which in my opinion outweighs the con by far, it's close to Sannenzaka and is in a quiet area. The room is quiet, clean, and has everything you need. Compared to other hotels we've stayed in (in this price range), it was also quite spacious. The staff was pleasant and helpful; they were really friendly and did their best. I would recommend this hotel for the above reasons! We didn't mind walking, so it was great and added to our stay.

Happy we found this hidden gem! The location was excellent as it was close to everything. The room was small but a little bigger than others. The staff was very nice and helpful, from front desk staff to housekeeping. Takanori and other staff recommended excellent restaurants close by for dinner: a ramen restaurant and yakatori restaurant. For breakfast, due to many early morning starts we were only able to enjoy one morning of breakfast in the restaurant area located on the first floor. Breakfast consisted of a bread roll, scrambled eggs, sausages, small amount of salad and fruit. Tea and coffee were offered as well.

The location is unique. It takes 5 minutes to walk to Kawara Shijo, across the road to Kamogawa, 2 minutes to walk to the food street, 2 minutes to walk 7-11, 4 minutes to the whole family, 6 minutes to the supermarket. But it was quiet on a small road in the chaos. The hotel is very small, a bit like a mini hotel-style apartment, with about 6-7 rooms in total. The mountain-view suite on the 5th floor is a one-family house, equipped with a microwave, washing machine, refrigerator, and a large balcony of 10 square meters. The suite area is larger than the indicated 67 square meters, and it is super comfortable.

It is located at the entrance of Buddhist temple street for about 4 minutes walk from Shijo Kawaramachi. In the cheap version of the Washington Hotel, there is no public bathhouse that cuts the service to the edge and is popular in business hotels. The room size, facilities, etc. are standard for business hotels. Bedding, toothbrushes and razors are received at the front desk. However, the quality of razors was bad and the skin was cut. It is a pity that the lighting in the room is white fluorescent color and it is cold 々 impression. This wants to improve. Check out only puts the card into the machine. The room is fine, but the service is the worst service experience in Japan! At about 3:30, I arrived at the check-in counter. The waiter actually pointed to the wrong house. I took a taxi and hit more than 200 RMB. The door opened without opening the door. I contacted the hotel staff for international roaming. The front desk did not speak English. After a long time, I said that I would call it. I didn't respond for 20 minutes. I still can't speak English when I hit it. I can't help but find a passerby (Japanese) to answer the phone and know that they have made a wrong house address! Forty minutes later, the hotel staff took a taxi to pick us up. We also had a 3-year-old child when it rained that day, and fell asleep before we even went to the room. I really want to swear. After taking it to the room, I can check out the next day for an hour. The next day I don’t know how to clean the house, and I can’t speak English. Awful

I was pretty worried at the beginning of the review, but it was really okay, right next to Kamogawa, there are a lot of restaurants in a row, the quiet side of the road is good, I like it. The room was clean, the windows opened well and the room was relatively large. We will ask for reservations if we are late for breakfast. The disadvantage is that it is quite far from the subway and attractions. It is just in the middle of Dijo Shijo Station and Gojo, which is more suitable for leisure travel partners.
