We stayed for 7 days and it was fantastic. Staff helpful and Heron Restaurant was excellent. Service exceptional. Our casita was spotless. Bed very comfortable. Fireplace a nice touch. We did hike on private trails - was lovely but unfortunately did not see all because it was very windy. We did the spa treatments - float tank and private pools as well. It was lovely and we thought the pricing was on point based on our stays at other spas. We will be back. Note that there are a great many levels and stairs on the property. We would recommend calling ahead to see if staying there is feasible for you. Day spa looks like it might be easier access. Would recommend visiting the botanical gardens while in Santa Fe. It was a great afternoon and it's in walking distance to a couple of museums.

Ojo Santa Fe offers a relaxing space where family, friends and business associates may gather around the waters. I really appreciated the employee assigned to our luncheon! This employee was kind and courteous. Black Health NM values the services provided.

Beautiful place. Nice and relaxing. The Blue Heron has amazing food. But rooms are dirty and outdated and we had bugs in our bedroom and in our bed. Spiders and small beetle looking insects. When we told the front desk all they said was that they were going to spray for bugs soon. Also had stained bedding and towels in our room upon arrival. Front desk employee (female) was terribly rude. No one at this hotel was helpful or knowledgeable when asked about transportation and things to do. It’s evident that this is a place for locals or people from driveable surrounding areas. We will not be coming back.

My wife brought me here for my birthday. It was beyond wonderful! The atmosphere is so relaxing, absolutely beautiful and just minutes from downtown Santa Fe. The staff was super friendly, even putting a complimentary bottle of Gruet Champagne in our room as a birthday treat! We had dinner at the Blue Heron, (on site restaurant), and the food and service were fantastic. We will definitely be back.

I don’t leave reviews often but felt compelled to do so in this case. My wife booked this resort as a romantic surprise. We stayed in a private casita and booked a private soak in the “ojito”. The casita was nice but quite dated. The bathroom in particular with the “rustic” motif has not aged well. The tile, grout, texture, and carpets in the room, although clean, appeared dirty from the age. Not offensive in any way, but certainly not what you would expect from a “resort”, especially with the prices. The private “ojito” was the most disappointing. We went in late spring when the Chinese elms that surround the pools were shedding their dime sized seed pods with a vengeance. Upon entering, the hot tub sized private “pool” was littered with hundreds of them. You get what you get from the “natural” setting but it appeared no effort was made to clean the pool, benches or shelves prior to our arrival. In the 50 minutes we were there, probably 15-20 new pods fell in. It’s spring, I get it, of course that’s going to happen when enjoying nature, but certainly an effort can be made between appointments to clean up. We will not be back.

I am so very excited to write such a wonderful positive review. This place is so beautiful and relaxing. The staff was so friendly, but one person truly went above and beyond Oswaldo (Ozzy)! This wonderful man exuberated customer service to the highest level. It truly made the difference in our trip. To have someone go above and beyond deserve some recognition. Thank you, Ozzy, for all your help and truly are a GEM to this place.

Full disclosure: this was my first stay at a spa resort. I found Ojo Santa Fe to have very nice grounds. I was worried about noise, but despite the proximity to developed areas, it is most tranquil. On site dining is limited (and expensive) and its at least 15 minutes to viable option, 25 to the best Santa Fe has to offer. So you're really not out in the country but still not close to city amenities. On the other hand, it feels remote, and all Santa Fe has to offer isn't really far. I liked the variety of pools. There is a hiking trail (which can be hard to follow. And if you do the whole thing, gets close to I-25). Morning yoga is included and my wife said it was wonderful (also on the easy side). Some staff interactions were most congenial, and some were rather indifferent. Our room was pretty plain for this price point. The private casitas next door to our rather dorm-like building looked very nice. If we come back, we'll likely spring for one of them. Overall a pleasant stay.

I was injured in the private soak tub @ Ojo Santa Fe. The staff provided no warning and no signs posted warning half the tub has no step. When bubbles are on this is not visible. I fell 3.5 feet into the rocky surface. I emailed the spa immediately and someone replied, management will contact you shortly. It’s been two weeks and no-one has contacted me. I sent a second email and still no response. I also emailed the owner and no response!
Response from Property: Hi there, Our management team has contacted you regarding this matter. If this issue has not been resolved, please let us know by replying to this comment or email marketing@ojospa.com. Sincerely, The Ojo Spa Resorts Team

This is my first visit to this property and I’m literally still in bed, the morning after my first night here. My Zen experience for this day started with someone using a leaf blower outside my room before 0700. The property is close enough to roads with heavy/loud traffic and also under the flight path for the airport so I wouldn’t call it quiet. Had dinner at the Blue Heron last night and it started out well but my Cobb Salad was drowned in a way-too-sweet dressing. Note to self-dressing on the side. I could hardly eat it and might have mentioned something if asked. The rooms are clean, beds are very comfortable. The exterior of buildings appear to be in need of maintenance. The hot pools seating surfaces are very rough so don’t wear a suit you like. This isn’t what I expected

The location and amenities were fabulous! Staff were also very nice and accommodating - especially Jessica in guest services! And if scheduling a massage, request Brittany! Lastly, I stayed in the Juniper rooms and they were comfortable and nicely appointed. I would definitely return!

Do not go during Spring Break, there was too many people who were loud and drinking alcohol and using Vaps. Had issues getting into our room several times had to track up and down many flights of stairs all wet and cold to get the problem fixed. Not sure we will return anytime soon.

Absolutely horrible place. My wife and I stopped there on our way across New Mexico. The room was so tired and dated. You could read a newspaper through the towels. But worse, it had a horrible odor -- something between chlorine and dead fish. I advised the front desk about the odor, and they expressed no surprise nor did they offer a different room. It seemed to me that this was not an uncommon complaint. We could not stay there, and they offered no accommodation. If you are considering a stay, I suggest that instead you set $340 on fire. You'll enjoy it more.

We stayed 2 nights (Feb 29-Mar 1) for our anniversary and had a good experience with the exception of one big thing. The room we stayed in (205) smelled like it had previously been a smoking room or had someone that stayed in it that recently smoked in the room. The room had the cigarette smoke cover up smell. Everything we brought with us now has that smell. It was really off putting and we were pretty disappointed that a resort touting itself as high end would find it acceptable to house guests in a room like this. Obviously the carpet needs to be replaced (it was pretty dirty and worn as is) and the whole room cleansed. Don’t get that room if you stay here. Everything else was pleasant. The soaking pools were very nice and the Blue Heron restaurant had excellent food. If we come again we’d probably just do a day pass and not stay on site.

This place was nice--beautiful grounds and hiking trails. However there were details about our stay that made the overall experience a little disappointing. We arrived for check-in time at 3 pm, and the pools were already crowded. Despite a few signs asking people to speak quietly, there was a lot of noise and activity. (If you get up early, you can experience a quiet soak!) Our room was very nice but although there was a coffee set-up, there were no filters and I had to walk up to the front desk at 7 in the morning to get some (the cafe doesn't open until 7:30). Someone else here has pointed out the issues with the restaurant similar to what I experienced. There was a bit of chaos up front with take out orders and what seemed like understaffing or new staff who weren't quite prepared for all the people showing up for dinner. We had arrived at 6:25 for a 6:30 dinner reservation but didn't get seated until closer to 7. Despite the interesting menu, the food itself was bland and dry. Brunch was the same. I also was not aware that there are no thermal springs here but heated water. Maybe next time we'll drive up to Ojo Caliente for actual mineral hot springs.
Response from Property: Hi there, Thank you for sharing your experience of Ojo Santa Fe Spa Resort. We are pleased to read you enjoyed the grounds, our staff works hard to keep Ojo Santa Fe looking beautiful and clean. Please know your comments have been shared with our management team and we are applying your feedback to better our overall customer experience. While we encourage guests to be respectful by keeping conversation volume at a low level and refraining from taking phone calls in the pool areas, we do not enforce a whisper policy at Ojo Santa Fe. If there is a problem or rowdiness that requires addressing, we ask guests to report issues to the front desk staff if there is not an attendant nearby. We do hope to welcome you back to Ojo Santa Fe and make good of our mission to provide genuinely gracious hospitality while stewarding and sharing sacred springs. Sincerely, The Ojo Spa Resorts Team
