Coco Surf Tropical Village

We stayed here our last 2 nights in El Salvador and it was a perfect way to wind down the trip and the proximity to the airport is great. The beachfront, gated location can't be beat. I really liked the layout of the grounds. The outdoor seating with hammocks in each villa was great. The pool location next to the beach with the outdoor showers is convenient. I especially loved that the spacious canopy beds are assigned to each villa as to avoid any issues with the other hotel guests. Lucky for us our canopy was in a prime location overlooking the beach with unobstructed views. Right down the street is a small, independent supermarket that sells almost anything you'd need. There was also Juan Antonio selling his delicious minutas right on the beach - Yum! Overall the villas are spacious but unfortunately they sacrificed square footage in the bathrooms as they were tiny! Our villa had (2) but the hallway bath was so tiny you could barely close the door when you were inside and the floor got all wet when you took a shower. The water pressure wasn't great and you couldn't flush any paper in the toilets which is understandable. Suggestions - provide extra garbage bags in the bathrooms. Equip each villa with a broom and dustpan as the floors get sandy and dirty from all the in and out from the beach. Provide 1 or 2 kitchen towels so as not to have to use so many paper towels to keep drying your hands/dishes. Overall a great property for a beach getaway.

My family and I had a wonderful experience at Coco Surf. Staff was very accommodating and very kind. I should note that our host was perfectly fluent in English so foreigners should feel particularly welcome when coming to this getaway. The rooms were much larger than I expected and each had personalised air conditioning units. Television with loads of entertainment for the kids. I should also note that the kitchen was well-stocked with all the basic needs met.

If you're looking for a place that is right on the beach, 2 bedroom villa, family orientated, quiet, clean, friendly, great sunrise and sunsets, fulltime security, and an English speaking host. Then this is the place. Had a great time here. My only suggestions are: The mattress are too firm. I felt like I was sleeping on a concrete block at times. If you DO NOT have a vehicle and you want to go out and mix with the locals... then, you're gonna have a tough time. There's not much in this part of La Libertad. You cannot walk outside the hotel area because the streets are kinda dark and sketchy at nights. There's NO top restaurants in the area either. There's a couple of shanty shacks on the beach but I didn't eat there. There was a slight sewer smell coming from our bathroom. Not overpowering but you'll definitely notice it. I chalked that up to being in El Salvador and it didn't ruin my time. Like I said, great place just come with the right expectations.

Only twelve accomodations, each with their own cabana beach side. very cool. very safe. cooking may require some patience as only a two position hot plate is made available. Very close to the port of La Libertad which has excellent dining, entertainment, and shopping options.

What I liked about Coco Surf was that each villa is well maintain, its secure with a security and cameras. Staff is very friendly, and attentive. Easy access to the beach.

Safe and a touch of sophistication. If you’re looking for a quaint get-away place with 24-hour security, 2 rooms with 2 baths, fully furnished with style, parking, access to a pool and beach, potable water - hot and cold, and AC! Coco Surf is the place for you and your friends and/or family. The place is secluded but easily accessible to some of the dining and premier hotel restaurants with a 10min or less Uber ride. The only thing I would recommend is consider replacing the doors with a 4-digit keyless entry to add an updated touch. Thanks for a great stay. Will book again soon.

It was my first time visiting El Salvador and it was truly such an experience. The hotel alone was amazing and right on the beach. I’ve already recommended this hotel to many of my friends :)

Very private, clean and great customer service. I would definitely stay here again if I come and visit La Libertad, El Salvador.
