"An old, basic, slightly worn hotel in the middle of an industrial area. Parking is free, but you should definitely bring your own breakfast (kettle and cappuccino), and I wouldn't stay there for more than one overnight stop. The rooms are clean and quiet, though, and our bed was comfortable; the bathroom was fine. In short: If I'm only staying one or two nights during a trip, it's perfectly adequate, but not for more than that! The picture shows the view of the river from the window—cleverly photographed."

"Everything was perfect. Very clean, clean towels, and very comfortable beds. The room was very spacious for 4. Everything was perfect, the facilities were excellent, and there was plenty of parking. Note: There is no hairdryer."

"Located right on the beach, it's wonderful for a stroll. The staff are friendly and multilingual. For France, this is an incredibly lovely and well-equipped hotel. We had a simple room with a courtyard view, which wasn't ideal. On our return journey, we booked at Baya again, but this time a side-view room, which was beautiful. The hotel's parking was also ideal. One thing that stood out: there was a bit of an 'odor' in the downstairs hallway."

The Originals City Hôtel le Lodge Bayonne Nord ★★★

"For a motel, this property takes no consideration to those travelling from afar. The checking in time only offers a small window to hit (17:00-20:00). We travelled from Portugal on our way to England and arrived early after a 9 hour drive. We waited one hour before we could relax in the room. The room was disappointing. Small and cramped in all aspects. Air conditioning was useless. We pre-booked breakfast. We now wish we hadn't, as the earliest this was served was 08:00, which ate into our travel plans (drive to Rouen). We were rushed as a result. As for the breakfast, we were charged €15 each. What was offered was limited and a poor choice/options in relation to other establishments we stayed at that were cheaper in price! We should have left early and eaten something on the freeway. Finally, the €15 charge because we had a pet was just extortionate. The room, being tiny, wouldn't be difficult to clean. Not that my dog is dirty, but the accommodation exactly wasn't luxury. If you're gonna charge that then at least make our pet welcome and provide it at least with a bed like they did in another cheaper hotel we stayed at. Seems they are only interested in money and not its clientele."

"I recently stayed at a hostel in Hossegor, and unfortunately, it did not live up to the typical hostel experience I was hoping for. As a solo traveler who doesn't speak French, I found it incredibly challenging to connect with others. The hostel lacked the welcoming and social atmosphere that hostels are known for. There were no organized activities or common areas that encouraged interaction among guests. The overall vibe felt quite antisocial, making it almost impossible to meet new people. If you're looking for a place to make friends and have a social experience, I would recommend looking elsewhere. This hostel fell short of expectations in creating a community environment."
