I was there for a week long conference. Although I did not stay at the hotel since it was an easy commute, I can’t say enough about the staff. We were there the week of the hurricane and they went over and above to make sure we had everything we needed. I also noticed that a lot of people were evacuating to this hotel with their dogs o it’s nice to know that they care about guests’ pets snd allow them in the rooms. Definitely will look for a Hyatt Place when we travel with our dog!

We had a queen room (#208). Very pleased with the size and cleanliness of the room. It seemed pretty new and was very comfortable and spacious. The hotel itself was nicely decorated and the breakfast was varied and nice -- standard stuff, but with southern amenities like gravy. One little quirk about our particular room was that the digital readings on the clock and the thermostat didn't work (see pictures). A minor thing though. The only real negative about this hotel I have to report is about the side parking lot. Every time we pulled into the side parking (where there is a key-operated entrance that we used to get to our room) we saw people loitering quite a bit and, especially at night, didn't feel as safe. And there was always random trash in this lot. Discarded masks, food cups, etc.

Very clean and very helpful staff food was readily available just around the corner plenty of choices of what we could eat. Very convenient close by the Wiregrass sports complex which is what we were looking for. Only complaint was the beds were kind of uncomfortable and need better pillows.

Bring your own utensils! Otherwise it’s cool.

We had a nice stay while visiting the Tampa area. Our room was clean and comfortable with a layout similar to other Springhill Suites. The room’s lighting was ample in the seating area but a bit lacking near the beds. The breakfast area was clean and comfortable with ample seating. The waffle machine we normally expect at complimentary breakfasts was noticeably missing, but there were pre-made waffles available. Parking was ample and the hotel’s wifi worked well. The hotel is located in a quiet area that appears to be recently built as Google Maps seemed a little confused about the roads adjacent to the hotel. There are many retail and dining options within a 10-15 minute drive away and the hotel is close to the Suncoast Parkway that takes you into Tampa.

Basically satisfied

Myself and three of my friends, take a golf trip every year and have stayed here for the past ten years or so. Please note that everyone that works there is wonderful and very accommodating. The daily breakfast was very good. However, since the proprty has been purchased and new management has taken over, things have gone downhill. Upon arrival neither rooms could be opened. After a time and new room cards, we were able to get into our room. The other room could not be unlocked. Finally a maintenance worker was able to open the door with his master fob, but couldnot get the key cards to work. since no other rooms were available, they were given a master fob. I assume it was set to only work on that room, but it would not work on the outside doors. The next day when we returned and went to our rooms. The room with the lock trouble was wide open and lock was in pieces on the table. They had been working on it and had left it that way while they were somewhere else. Do not know how long it was open for. When we checked out, one room was supposed to be on my credit card, the other room was supposed to be on one of their cards. They left everything on my card. They had the information and card number for the other from check-in. Perhaps the staff is not all properly trained. The assistant manager assured us she could fix it. Each room should have been approximately $2200. By the time she was done, the other room had $4400 charged and mine had been charged nearly $11,000. At that time she said she could not change it because of the large amount involved. When we got home, we had to spend time calling the general manager and spend a couple of weeks calling my credit card company (just in case) and checking in online to make sure the excess charges were removed. It was finally straightened out, but it should never have happened. As a side note there used to be activities four nights per week for the guests, i.e., pizza night, grill night, movie night and so on. Not anymore. Overall disappointing.

Me and my wife arrived in Tampa after a long drive from Boca Raton Florida. We booked a room with a Kings size bed on Priceline and was very excited to get to our room. Upon entering the Hotel at approx. 1030pm on 5/5/2022 we noticed the Front desk was empty. So we decided to have a seat and wait for someone to come help us check into our room. We waited for a good 7-10 minutes before we saw a woman walking across the lobby from a dark lit area slowly taking her time as she approached the front desk. There was not any pleasantries or any welcoming or inviting facial expressions or words, Just can I have a drivers License and credit card,after I had said we would like to check -in we have reservations. She looked up our reservation told us our room number and that was it. Upon riding the elevator we noticed she never explained anything about the hotel or how to get on Wi-fi or any of the normal conversation you would normally have upon entering a hotel. we just shrugged it off and looked forward to sleeping after a 4hour drive. When we entered the room it had two single beds? We called the front desk and said we have a reservation for a king size bed we have 2 single beds. At which time she became annoyed and explained that was what they had available right now. She said if you want a King size Bed I can put you into room 126 on the first floor. I agreed and went to the front desk to turn in my key and pick up another one. When i walked up to the desk she was having a personal conversation and ignored us for a time until her conversation was ended. The was not a customer but a friendly conversation with a person she knew personally. When she finished the conversation she made no eye contact nor any conversation as much to say she was not happy to help us or even act politely and professional. When we get to our room 126 it has a terrible odor. It was a room that permits smoking and did make it hard for me to breath since I have asthma . My wife wanted to complain but I suggested that its better to just accept the room since she is looking for confrontation it seemed. This was a horrible experience.
