Hotels near Tamiya Headquarter, Shizuoka City

It's a very affordable and decent option for a short stay in Shizuoka. The rooms are spacious enough and it's comfortable to sort out your stuff inside. The staff is nice and helpful, I could even check in at 15 instead of 16, which was pleasant. The facilities and amenities are all quite good. The hotel is conveniently located close to Shizuoka station, so it's not a problem to walk to or from the station even carrying luggage

The hotel is incredibly close to Shizuoka Station, about a 5-10 minute walk, and surrounded by restaurants, Don Quijote, and convenience stores, which was really fantastic! I highly recommend it! Also, if you walk about 10 minutes, you'll find the Shizuoka Prefectural Office and Sunpu Castle & Park. On a nice day, it would be perfect to visit the Prefectural Office (opens at 10 AM) to see Mt. Fuji, then take a stroll through Sunpu Park. It was also interesting to see many schools nearby! If you're visiting Shizuoka for a trip to a smaller Japanese city, I definitely recommend staying here! Unlike other accommodations in Japan, this one was quite spacious! For reference, we stayed in a twin room. We inadvertently chose to have breakfast and the staff were incredibly nice, though the food was just average. It's still worth trying at least once. I didn't take any photos of the room's interior, but I've included pictures taken near the hotel and from inside the hotel at sunset.

The location is excellent, very close to Shimizu Station, and right next to the Shimizu Ginza shopping street. It's about a 15-minute walk to Shimizu Port. The room was bigger than I expected, and the bathroom and toilet were separate. You can hear the train at night, but it wasn't too bothersome. The front desk staff spoke very good English.

I was a bit disappointed with our stay. The room looked much more spacious in the photos, but the room we were given felt quite small and cramped. It also didn’t have any view, which was disappointing. I was expecting the room to be brighter as well, but the lighting felt too dim. Overall, the room did not match the impression shown in the photos. There were also only a few pillows provided. I was also a bit confused about the tea and coffee because there was nothing in the tray, so I wasn’t sure where to get them. Another inconvenience was that there was only one power outlet near the bed for charging phones. Since there were two of us, only one person could charge nearby, while the other had to charge farther away. Even though there were some downsides, there were good things as well. The location was very convenient — as soon as you step out of the hotel, everything is nearby, including Ichiran, shopping malls, and plenty of places to eat.

It was a good stay, although if I have to mention one thing it would be the bed. The matras is hard. Personally I'm not used to a hard bed but japanese people maybe. I've stayed in a traditional house and you get a thin sleeping mat so I felt like the same thing. Don't know why they even have beds just sleep on the floor 🤣 but they have the same beds throughout all the hotel chains. I've stayed in a few before and will stay in another chain for another two nights so I would say that I do like it enough to come back to. I would say a 4,55 out of 5. Service is good, location is good, price is good and breakfast is enough choice, even though I would like to have more protein in the morning I managed to get a balanced some sort of healthy breakfast for myself without carbs, wel had a scoop of glass noodles whatever carbs that is worth and the vegetable juice has some carbs as well but other than that it was a great stay.

For the first time I came to Shizuoka and found this hotel, I amaze because the room is really clean good staff and perfect location just less than 200m to Shizuoka station which is easier !

It seemed to be the day of a fireworks display and was very popular that day. Check-in was done in one part of the coffee shop. We apologize when it is crowded as the general public also enjoys tea. The rooms have air conditioning, but the beds do not, so it feels very hot and difficult to stay there. There are no towels or toothbrushes. You need to bring your own. Earplugs were available at the washbasin. There is only one shower and one toilet, so you have to be patient when others are using them. I woke up in the middle of the night when someone came home and took a shower because of the noise. You have to cross a big road from the station, so it is better to go out with plenty of time to spare.

Basic cleanliness, interior, service, everything was the best Basic unlimited popcorn, pudding, and drinks are provided, and beer, wine, and cocktails are provided from 6 PM to 12 AM The sauna and rooftop pool that are available from 6 PM were also great The only downside is that there are almost no convenience stores or restaurants around, so I had to take Uber for late-night meals.

I stayed here for two nights, and the hotel has a very convenient location. It takes about 7 minutes to walk to Shizuoka Station, less than 20 minutes to Sunpujo Park, and around 10 minutes to the Shizuoka Prefectural Office. Convenience stores such as 7-Eleven and Ministop are also just a 5-minute walk away. The hotel has useful facilities, including a coin laundry and an ice maker on the second floor. Breakfast is available, although I didn’t choose the breakfast option when booking. Soundproofing is quite good. I slept well and didn’t hear noise from nearby rooms. Overall, the staff were helpful and professional. Considering the price, I’m very satisfied with my stay and would recommend this hotel. Photos from the window of my room.
