Hotels near Myeongwoldae, Jeju City

It's really clean and I like the facilities. They are so sensible, and the disposable dishcloth, disposable toothbrush, plastic bag, trash bag, etc. are so sensible. When I always eat meat or a little food at a pension, I hesitate to buy salt, pepper, cooking oil, etc., but they are sensibly provided. The shampoo, conditioner, and body wash are all so good, and the hair dryer works really well so it's good for drying my hair. The latest water purifier is so amazing and I like it. I really like everything in the accommodation, but if there's one drawback, it's horse dung? cow dung? When I ventilate, it smells like the countryside, which is a bit disappointing, but this is a natural scent, so I feel more like Jeju. And the shared Gili Cafe facilities are so good. The ice in the coffee machine is so good. They have medicine, temperature checks, bandages, mediforms, etc. I've never seen a better accommodation with better sense than this.

Old hotel, needs renovating however we enjoyed our stay. Relatively close to the beach. We stayed here for 5 nights. Overall we enjoyed our stay but there are some issues we faced. Firstly they began to tell us they couldn’t accept my Korean issued ID and needed to take a 200,000 won damage deposit (this sign was written in English and showed to us at check in). Once they realised I was using my Korean ID card and bank card they suddenly didn’t need to do this which we found this confusing and wondered if the policy is only applied to some guests. We were also given an information sheet that said we had to “use the room cleanly or we will be charged” meaning we were always conscious leaving in the morning due to thinking we will be charged so we couldn’t fully relax. The room is big but old. The floor wasn’t hoovered for 2 days so sand was still on the floor. The room overall wasn’t well cleaned…we found spiders on the head board and we couldn’t walk on the terrace due to the board lifting. On our final evening, we found sand from night one still on the shower floor. Every night there was so much noise from the room above making it hard to sleep. However there are some positives. The staff are friendly and answered our questions in a polite manner, it’s a great location close to the beach and the room is a good size. Overall, we enjoyed our stay despite there being some things that need to be improved. For the price we paid, it was an okay stay, however we won’t be staying here again and if we paid more than we did we would be disappointed.

Great hotel! It is just 50 meters away from the bus stop, across the beach. The area is very developed, there are lots of options for breakfast, a great black pork bbq is nearby. The room was equipped with a small bath, somehow I missed it while ordering, so it was a nice surprise. And the Olive Young around the corner had cute bath-bombs. It was very relaxing after a long day of walking.

Really enjoyed my stay here! It’s a short walk or a quick drive from Hyeopjae Beach which has stunning views and a range of food options. Stayed in a room that offered amazing, uninterrupted views of the ocean. Did not get to explore amenities such as the rooftop pool, unsure if it was open since it is winter.

Location is rather convenient and suitable for any of the visits at upper Jeju -- we drove hence it wasn't a huge issues with getting around; not too sure for those with public transport though (do your research!) It was super easy to check in and check out (we just needed to show the booking ID and drop off our room card to check out). There is a unmanned pantry with good variety of ramyeon, drinks, and even accessories like hallabong hat! haha so it was really convenient for supper and no need that extra run to the convenience store. Room is slightly small but just enough for the 2 of us with 2 big luggage and floor is well heated for a comfortable rest :) recommend!!

Jeju Wave Hotel was a great place to stay. Rooms were very nice and quiet, clean and well maintained. The staff was very friendly. We stayed there in mid April and was disappointed that the pool was not open yet. I didn’t find any information online saying that the pool would not be available, but I may have just missed it.

Great hotel. Very reasonable room rate, well located. The underground car park is very small, and the spaces are tight, but I think they have somewhere else you can park if there's no space left. Hotel was clean, modern, although they was no separation in the bathroom for the shower, so all the floor gets wet. For some strange reason they only provide face towels, two per person. So drying oneself after washing is particularly frustrating. This is the only place in Korea we stayed where this happened, so it's definitely the fault of the hotel, so docking a star for that. There's no phone in the room, so there's nobody we can contact as foreigners.

The sea view is unbeatable, and the place is very clean and tidy. Across from the narrow sea is the Narrow Sea. The owners are a couple who are very kind. They prepared iced coffee and Shin Ramyun for us for breakfast. Knowing that we are Chinese, they were very welcoming to us, and we also welcome them to travel to China.

I love this resort so much, out of our 6 accommodation in jeju, this one is the best Should have booked this on our last night instead of first night hahaha Friendly and professional staff, bed is fluffy, got aircond even in winter can adjust our own temperature, location near hyeopjae beachhhh

I traveled solo. I highly recommend this guesthouse! It's spacious, comfortable, has plenty of hot water, a refrigerator, and cooking facilities (but no seasonings). The owners are very nice. Since I didn't have a Korean phone number, I arrived early to try and contact them to leave my luggage. It took some time to get in touch using the app's online calling function. It was only around 1-2 pm, but they let me check in early and even helped me carry my luggage up the stairs. Although we don't speak Korean, they proactively use a translator to communicate! If you need towels washed, just leave them on the window outside the door. For your own clothes, you can knock on the fourth-floor door in the morning or tell them in advance if you want laundry done (they came to ask about my clothes 🥺). I think the price is on the low side (very affordable), but the overall service, environment, and the owners' attitude were all excellent 👍 The only thing to note is that the location is a bit remote (it was difficult for me to carry my luggage alone). When leaving, please take the paved road (I couldn't find it on my first day and had to climb over their stone backyard). It gets very dark at night, so be careful (but there were almost no people around, and I got home safely). It's very convenient to go out and explore after dropping off your luggage; the bus stop is right outside, and there are many beautiful cafes and sea views further in.
