Hotels near Taksin Bridge, Bangkok

Great value for money, definitely recommend! The hotel staff are all very enthusiastic. I stayed here years ago and the public facilities are still well-maintained, including the pool. The breakfast selection isn't huge, but they replenish it quickly, which is a big plus. The room, however, wasn't great. It's old and the soundproofing is poor. The air conditioning is mechanical and quite noisy. The shower area in the bathroom is tiny, though the water pressure is good. You can also hear the pipes when other rooms use water. On the first day, they don't provide water, toothbrushes, or slippers in the room. If you don't need daily cleaning, you can ask the cleaning staff for water on the second day. It seems like slippers aren't provided at all. There are very few power outlets in the room, only near the kettle and the TV. Overall, the transportation is convenient. There's a 7-Eleven right at the intersection. It's about a 15-minute walk to IconSiam and a 10-minute walk to BTS S7 station. Along the way, there's a small mall with a KFC, Starbucks, and a small imported supermarket, and you can also find dinner on the upper floors. Walking to BTS S6 station takes about 15 minutes, but you'll need to cross a bridge. The walkway for the bridge is at the end of the path next to the park, by the river. S6 station is Sathorn, which has multiple ferry lines at the pier. There's also a free shuttle boat to the Asiatique Sky Ferris Wheel night market.

The room is spacious, and the bellhop service is excellent. However, the street noise is incredibly loud! The balcony windows seem fake; they don't block any sound at all. It felt like I paid to sleep directly on the street, which was really a nightmare, especially with motorcycles roaring by even in the middle of the night. The air conditioning also made some noise, but compared to the street, it was negligible. Honestly, the location isn't ideal either. While it's close to the subway, getting to tourist spots isn't very convenient by metro, and with the hot weather, I was even less inclined to walk. It's indeed very close to Sathorn Pier, though. The area downstairs also has a lively, local atmosphere. But what's the point of a hotel if you can't even get a good night's sleep, no matter how good everything else is?

The hotel is a standalone building right on the street. The interior is decent, though a bit small, but it has everything you need. There were quite a few Chinese tourists. The location is excellent, just a 5-minute walk to the BTS station and Sathorn Pier. Lumpini Park is also only about 2-3 kilometers away. Breakfast is served on the first floor, with a small, very clean, and pleasant outdoor seating area. On the second floor, there's a gym and a small swimming pool. It feels like they've covered all the bases. The only downside is the lack of a laundry room.

The room was exactly as pictured, but the location was a bit inconvenient. Getting a taxi in and out involved a lot of detours. If it weren't for the excellent service from the Peninsula Hotel owner, I wouldn't have crossed the river to stay here. I usually prefer staying in Silom; that's the true heart of downtown Bangkok for me!

Every single staff member at this hotel was incredibly nice, and the cleanliness was exceptional. The location is perfect, just a 15-minute walk to ICS. The massage place just a left turn out of the alley is super cheap and relaxing, and there's a juice and smoothie bar nearby that's absolutely delicious. Right next to the smoothie place, there's a clear soup Thai noodle spot that's also fantastic. Oh, and if you want to buy snacks to take home, don't go to Big C. There's a mall nearby called S-something, and the supermarket on the first floor is actually cheaper than Big C. I only found out when I was leaving, what a bargain! (They don't sell skincare, though.) I completely forgot to take photos of the hotel because I spent every day exploring and eating, not sleeping, so it just slipped my mind.

Quite hard to find at first if you are arriving in a taxi because you will have to walk a short distance to the hotel but once you are at the hotel the lobby and front of hotel is very nice. The room is spacious and has everything you need, the aircon works brilliantly and the beds are comfy. The staff members are polite and happy to help. The view from the rooftop is beautiful and it is in a good location for travellers to get either boat shuttles or if you need to get on the metro line. The only downside i can say I had from my stay at this hotel is that it can be slightly noisy at night with the rooms having thin walls so I was woken up once or twice during my stay but this is nothing a pair of earbuds can’t fix. Overall a great stay at a good price right in the heart of Bangkok, would definitely stay again.

The hostel is clean and the staff are very kind and attentive. The beds are also one of the best parts of the stay — they are wide, soft, and comfortable. I also liked the showers because the water pressure is strong and the water is always warm, which is great after a long day outside. Overall, the hostel shows good attention to guest comfort. That said, there are a few practical issues that could be improved. The lockers are very small, and even if they had locks, they would not be large enough to store valuable items like a laptop or an iPad. In addition, the shared bathroom facilities could be better. There are no slippers provided for the bathroom area, which can feel a bit inconvenient. Another issue is the bathroom door — it does not close properly, so it feels like the bathroom door is almost pointless because it never fully shuts. This makes the space feel less private than it should be. Fixing the door and improving the bathroom setup would make the experience much better for guests.

For its price, this hotel offers great value and feels very fair 💰✨ We were welcomed warmly upon arrival. The receptionists were friendly and explained the rules and general information clearly. We arrived around 12 PM, and since it was high season—and we had just booked that morning/the night before—the room wasn’t ready yet. However, they kindly offered us an alternative room in a different building (usually for longer stays) if we wanted an early check-in. We really appreciated the gesture 🙏 Though we didn’t take it, as we were heading to ICONSIAM anyway, so early check-in wasn’t necessary. The location isn’t right in the city center, but it’s close to a bus stop and BTS station 🚆 We actually liked this because it feels quieter and less hectic. Amenities were basic—shower gel and shampoo—but everything worked well, and the water was clean 🚿 The receptionist also shared helpful tips about getting around the city, which was a nice touch. Every time we requested room cleaning, it was done properly with fresh sheets, making the room feel new again 🧺✨ There’s also free tea, water, and coffee in the lobby, so we could refill our bottles every time we went out ☕💧 Overall, we truly enjoyed our 3-night stay here in a queen bedroom with a balcony 🌿 Highly recommend for a comfortable and no-frills stay.

I really loved my 8-night stay in the female dorm at Poshtel 56. Here are the reasons why: • The staff are friendly and helpful especially “ Yadanar “ communicated so well and thanks to her • The rooms and washrooms are very clean, neat, and well maintained.
• The washrooms are comfortable and always kept hygienic.
• The atmosphere is quiet and relaxing.
• The location is convenient and easy to access. Overall, I had a very pleasant stay and would definitely recommend this place to other travelers.

This hotel is quite stylish and well-designed with a great concept. The cafe downstairs is excellent, the staff are wonderful, and the matcha is delicious. Parking is available but limited, though street parking right next to the hotel is usually an option. My only minor suggestion would be to add shower caps to the amenities. Unfortunately, the mattress was noticeably saggy, feeling old and worn, which led to an uncomfortable night's sleep and back pain.
