What a wonderful place. Our cabin had a sea view, a shady terrace, a good bathroom and open, netted windows on three sides to catch the breeze - plus a roof fan. The restaurant served a good breakfast, included, and good food and drinks throughout the day. WiFi was good but only available around the restaurant and reception; both places have comfy sofas to sit on while you browsed, It was hot when visited so trekking and cycling were not for us. We did drive almost to the end of the road but eventually the poor surface deterred us from venturing further.

What a spectacular little oasis this was! We stumbled upon it while driving around the island, and we're so glad we did. The owners Maria and Tiziano from Italy were such gracious hosts! The resort is well manicured, with phenomenal staff. Our server Abilio was a superstar! He was very attentive and very friendly. The restaurant had all sorts of food and drink options, and the views of the ocean were breathtaking! The resort also offers multiple excursions, as well as price car rental with 24-hour assistance and insurance. We truly enjoyed our afternoon there and wished we had spent a few nights here! Spectacular view from the lodges' balconies and the veranda in the restaurant. Food was good, they even serve São Toméan specialities. Drinks are a bit on the expensive side, but it is worth it! Lovely and forthcoming staff! Just make sure you cross-check your bills if you had a pre-paid package. Reception and tour agencies don't seem to communicate with each other. It is also a bit strange that you have to sign up your dinner bills, although having booked half-board. Be careful when using the local beach (nice climb down there) since roughly 7m into the water there are lots of sea urchins.

Good service and delicious food! Charming bungalows with incredible ocean views! Very beautiful garden with tropical plants, wonderful restaurant and kind staff! The nature is unique, we had a wonderful stay! I recommend staying here!

This tranquil yet sophisticated boutique lodge exceeded all expectations. The room provided a breathtaking view from the terrace. The restaurant served delicious fresh fish, and I will never forget the mouthwatering Portuguese-style chocolate mousse, directly from the source.

Went for lunch. My Girlfriend had the fusili with fish. The fish must have been rotten because shortly after lunch she started to feel ill and had to throw up multiple times in the following hours. be careful, can definately not recommend!!!!

Fantastic view over the sea and forest. The food was really good, including the pizza which I was not planning to complete but could not stop myself. Wifi was good and staff was very friendly. All in all great.

Tiziano at Mucumbli coordinated our entire 15 day trip to Sao Tome and Principe. Two adults and three teenage daughters. Drivers and guides always on time. A bit more expensive, but worth not having to plan everything yourself. I really felt like we saw everything in Sao Tome while we were there. The Mucumbli hotel is very nice and very clean. Restaurant has great pizza. Great breakfast. Beach is a short walk. Definitely bring water shoes. Any trip to Sao Tome should include a few nights at Mucumbli.
