"The hotel itself looks very nice. The rooftop jacuzzis and pool were amazing, and the gym was honestly one of the best hotel gyms I’ve ever seen. However, I was really surprised by how poor the room amenities were considering the price of this hotel. They don’t even provide basic complimentary things like drinking water. There’s literally a brochure in the room showing a list of extra items you can buy, including things like a toothbrush, toothpaste, a comb, shower caps, and other basic necessities. Having to pay extra for every little thing felt honestly a bit embarrassing for a hotel in this price range. Because it was always supposed to be for free. Never in my life I paid for dental kit in a hotel…. The breakfast was also pretty disappointing. Honestly, I even felt like waking up early for it was not worth losing sleep over — I would rather have stayed in bed longer than wake up for that breakfast:("

Hampton by Hilton Lima San Isidro
"The hotel is located on the edge of San Isidro district and a relatively convenient distance to major parts of Lima (e.g. Miraflores, historic centre, and Airport), taking roughly 30 minutes to 1 hour by Uber. It is in a safe and quiet area within close reach of greenery, restaurants, convenience stores, and cafes. Room and bathroom were clean and well-maintained. However, for a business level hotel that is part of the Hilton brand, the lighting in the rooms are very poor with only bedside and tableside lights. Breakfast buffet was good with decent variety and continued supply of food. Gym was up on the top roof and gave a good view of the city, though it is small and machines are basic. Housekeeping staff were generally very helpful and polite. Receptionists at my check-in / check-out seemed to be grossly unfamiliar with the process and took a long time to get things done, sometimes asking repeated questions. Some of the breakfast staff was also a little less than polite. Overall a fine experience, but a bit less than the standard expected of a business-level hotel such as this."

The evening shows were fun (but I don't like that they make people in the audience come on stage and participate, that stresses me out and doesn't let me enjoy the show because as a foreigner i stand out and i don't want to get called up, especially since Spanish isn't my first language). In the past room maintenance was my biggest issue, but this time the room was much better, it was a different room in a different building, so I hope the other buildings are also being maintained better too."
