Regrettable booking through TUi. Rude owner, poor location. Room lacked character. Put me off Crete completely when in fact it’s a beautiful island. Pool area cramped and no sun beds.

Terrible place. Never again. Can't get a bed round the pool. No pool bar. No music. Most boring place I have ever stayed. Not recommended!!!!

Location: The location is brilliant — just a short walk to plenty of restaurants and pubs. Hotel: At first glance, the hotel looks great. However, the bedrooms and en-suites are in need of some updating. While a little tired, they were kept clean. Cleanliness: I wasn’t overly impressed with the cleaning service. Fresh towels and sheets weren’t provided as often as expected, and at times I wasn’t sure if they had actually been replaced. Staff: The main hotel staff were friendly, approachable, and always happy to help. Facilities: The lift is small but reliable. The pool is a decent size, though there isn’t much space around it for sunbeds. That said, we never had a problem finding one — only late risers struggled. Unfortunately, there was no food or drink service at the pool. Breakfast was very good, cooked to order, and the sandwiches/snacks were also enjoyable. Air conditioning comes at an additional cost. Ours jammed at one point, but staff quickly came up and showed us how to reset it. Rooms: The rooms were a fair size. The full-length curtains didn’t quite cover the windows properly, which let in light. Beds were adequate, but the pillows were uncomfortable. The balcony was narrow — fine for two people, but not practical for more, despite the room being able to accommodate extra guests. Overall: In a nutshell, the hotel was basic but clean and worked well as a base. It didn’t spoil our holiday — we had a great time. Would I return? Probably not, but the fantastic location and friendly staff made the stay enjoyable.

Just got back from our second stay at the Acropolis, six years after our first and once again we had a fantastic time. The apartment, facing the pool, was spacious, clean and provided everything you need for a self catering stay. Myros, Vicky, Marinos, Santiago worked tirelessly and truely made the holiday, their hospitality was faultless. I enjoyed many a philosophical conversation with Santiago each day! The meals at the apartments were excellent and so was the selection of drinks. If you enjoy watching your sport, Myros would find it on the many channels at his disposal, even if trying to explain cricket to Marinos did prove a little tricky. We enjoyed meals at Cavos (book a table harbour side), The Skipper, Thalassa (book a table on the beach), Ammos, Mythos, Rosemarys and Il Camino, and are all worth a visit. Stallis beach was beautiful and worth the short bus ride (2euros per person). The hotel is in a perfect location, a short walking distance from the beaches, pubs, restaurants and shops (supermarket next door). The pool is spotlessly clean and provides the perfect quiet retreat to enjoy the sun all day long. I loved the 9am opening of the pool, with none of the stress of getting up at stupid o’clock running for a bed or camping out all night! We couldn’t fault our stay at the Acropolis and will certainly be returning next year! A relaxing time was had by all!

Central location to main ***** with lots of bars and restaurants.Short walk to beach and harbour. Spacious rooms but balcony views in some rooms very poor. Nice pool but small with no atmosphere around so hard to sit there for a length of time. Staff all very friendly and waiter in the evenings great. Towels not changed once in a week which was disappointing and very limited showers facilities for late pick up times.

We had an amazing holiday made even better by our stay at acropolis apartments. The family that run it cannot do enough for you and the on site restaurant is amazing. Location is brilliant close enough to everything but not to close that you can here it all.

Great lovely rooms we was given ground floor rooms for the children and lovely staff definitely go again ate most nights in restaurant downstairs, central to everything nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

Fabulous hotel it was like going back to see family . And it was like I'd never been away this time we were on the third floor with a sea view. Which was fabulous to see the sun rise every morning. Breakfast was very good and a great choice 😋 coffee a little strong for me but got there in the end . Rooms are very spacious clean and every thing you need for a great relaxed holiday. It's my happy place 🥰 and the family make you feel very welcome .if you want 5 star with all the extras don't go . But to me it's 5 star ++ Just love it x
